A solid pre-season.

We have to actually win a Coupe de France game? Oh dear.

4th for the last 2 seasons but with the improvements I've tried to make the media expects us to win the league.

Very nice, Makoto. I reckon we're going to see you in a bigger league soon?

Thanks Slipky, the leagues with the higher reputations are Vanuatu, Fiji and New Zealand's top tier and I can only really see myself going to New Zealand, the Waitakere Utd job became available in pre-season and I applied for it and had an interview but I think my rep was too low in the end, I have 1* rep and the manager they went for had 2*. I'm now going for the Continental A Licence and will have it in September 2024, hopefully I can make the jump to New Zealand soon though.

You don't count Australia as Oceania? Or that's completely out of reach?

Not for the purpose of this, no. I have Australia loaded but that's really just to give the best players of Oceania to go if they reject their contracts at their clubs and end up a free transfer, hoping that the best will be picked up by a lesser Australian club instead of retiring.

But how much gate receipts would you even get?

We'll have to find out! It's gonna only be for the most loyal Marseille fan though!

Just curious, if you ever won the French Cup as a Tahiti side, would you qualify for the Europa League?  Would be great as you could challenge for the Champions League theoretically lol

Pretty sure that even if we won the French Cup we wouldn't be entered into the Europa League, I have no evidence of this though.

Yeah it makes sense you would be barred, but if this isn’t the case, that is one hell of a Challenge.  Won the Champions League with a Tahitian side.  😂

Just the one league defeat! I really want to try my hand in New Zealand now, my contract runs out at the end of June. If nothing comes up in New Zealand (Canterbury Utd's manager is insecure but the fans have laughed me off) Then I will be willing to drop to Fiji or at a big push Vanuatu. Fiji has 14 league games but 4 domestic cups to contend for and Vanuatu has 2 domestic cups and 2 continental cups since as well as the O-League they also enter the Melanesian Super Cup with 2 Solomon Islands teams in a small league.

I could have waited for a New Zealand club, but I don't like waiting and pressing continue so I've gone to the 3rd best rated league in Oceania and a club that has a 1.5* reputation!

Nice choice. As a New Zealander I am looking forward to when you make the move there. But Amicale is one of the best clubs in the islands - a good stepping stone.

This has really got me wanting to start an Oceania save! Just not sure if I want to do journeyman or youth only.

I'm looking forward to it as well, I'll happily stay here and wait for an opening in New Zealand instead of declaring interest in insecure jobs since Amicale seem to have a very strong squad and good facilities for the level. Definitely do a save! :D
