Koetzer
Season 2037/38 - Tigres de la UANL The next step is Mexico. Probably the strongest league I'm going to manage so far. Liga MX Apertura - I remembered from some previous version that away goals are not counted in Mexico, but seems like they changed this rule Copa MX Apertura - disappointing shootout loss, however there will be second chance. CONCACAF Champions League - any Mexican team is obviously a favourite to win here, all semi-finalists were from our league and of course were the toughest opponents to face. We started both semi-final and final at home and were able to secure a good advantage before second leg, so that away loss against Atlas still was enough to win the trophy! Liga MX Clausura - as in Champions League, home games were key to our victory. 4-1 against Cruz Azul and the national title is ours too!Copa MX Clausura - third trophy was too hard for us in that schedule. At least there will be something to conquer next season (along with Club World Cup ) Squad stats - you can see how busy we were. 65 competitive games during season, something that hardly would happen in any of my previous clubs. Richard Euan - top goalscorer, top assistant and our only Mexican player called up for the upcoming World Cup.Luis Avalos - loaned this wonderkid from Boca, unfortunately he will leave us and sign for Benfica.Toussaint Toure - remember him from my time in Ivory Coast, he's aging but still remains a reliable defender. Gustavo Barrionuevo - another loan signing from Boca, and he's staying with us for another year. Won the local supercup as well. O-League - we were clear favourites for this trophy but anyway that doesn't make the victory less notable. Oceania is now completed on club level. You still have Africa, but after that you would need to take on some bigger clubs in America and Europe. Exciting to see where you will end up. Koetzer
Season 2038/39 - Tigres de la UANL / Australia Copa MX Apertura - this time cup was our priority, we needed to win it and we did it. FIFA Club World Cup - semifinal against Bayern was probably the best game in my career so far, we were 0-1 down at half-time but overturned the game and almost won in regulation time. Bayern equalized on 89th minute after a clear foul overlooked by referee. The game went into penalty shootout, we missed the first shot, but then Claudio saved twice and the last Bayern shot hit the post! What's even more surprising, in another semifinal Raja Casablanca defeated Racing. We simply couldn't afford to miss that chance. Liga MX Apertura - final games were moved to January after CWC was scheduled, that helped us to field the strongest squad there and win again. CONCACAF Champions League - simply can't understand what happened in that game. We were leading 5-1 on aggregate and somehow lost. Resigned immediately as everything I could win in Mexico is already won. I still have two leagues to win in North America but right now my priority is moving to new continent as I want to manage on all of them until the save becomes too slow. After the World Cup I also applied for a job in Australia. I only plan to stay there for several months and try to win the Asian Cup. AFC Asian Cup - started the tournament with unexpected draw against India, but then won all remaining games confidently. Only surprising Thailand side was close to reaching extra time. 35 year-old striker Bill Broxham was in incredible form scoring 11 goals (unfortunately I forgot to take his screenshot before he retired). Every 25 league title must be from different nations, the 25 cups must be different cups from 20 different nations. You can win the competition as many times as you like, but only counts once. Koetzer
Season 2039/40 - Flamengo / South Africa After conquering North America I've headed south. Flamengo were 7th in the league table and sacked their manager with 8 games remaining. Not much to do for me yet (except securing qualification for Copa Libertadores) but so there's more time to prepare for the next season. One question to @TheEarl concerning the rules - do the regional competitions count into this challenge as extra cups? Brasileirao - moved up to 3rd place on the final matchday. I'm sure the team is ready for more next season. Matheus Phillipe - 22 goals in the league and 40 overall, that was enough to win the local golden boot. Back to Africa for a bit. I still have to win the CHAN, and South African domestic squad seems to be one of the strongest. CHAN - the trophy is ours, but it wasn't easy at all, both semifinal and final ended in extra time. Add this to the fact that AI teams always started games with 95-100 fitness, while we had to start some players with 75 and you'll understand how hard it was to play against them. Koetzer
Season 2040 - Flamengo Campeonato Carioca - defeated fierce rivals in the final, good result before the start of main championship.Liga Sul-Minas-Rio - another regional cup, and again we faced Fluminense in the final with the same outcome.Copa do Brasil - the proper national cup wasn't so easy from the start, but the final was really one-sided. Campeonato Brasileiro (part 1, part 2) - the title almost slipped from us on final day against the bottom team, luckily Matheus Philipe was able to secure our win with two late goals. Copa Libertadores - the only disappointment of this season. River Plate were too strong, and Argentinian league is really better than Brazilian now. So probably this will be the next destination, as anyway I didn't plan to stay in Brazil for another extremely long and exhausting season. Squad stats Philippe Horn - was a real surprise to see one of the latest World Cup winners released on free transfer, so signed him immediately. Amendoim - started the season as a backup player, but thanks to heavy rotation had enough chances to play and finished the season as second goalscorer in the team (and top goalscorer of the league). kieranDRFC
Season 2017 - Solomon Warriors After i finally made my decision on what continent to begin my journey i eventually decided on a country to start at as well. After many job offers and rejections i settled with the Solomon Warriors. Unfortunately i joined after the transfer window had closed which meant i went into the season with just 15 players to get me through the season of 14 games. With this it resulted in a poor first half of the season which saw me yoyo around mid table and nearly getting sacked to me turning it around into a brilliant finish to the season where i went unbeaten for 10 games. A better start to the season would have seen me win the league but i just left it too late and with new signings hopefully that's what's achieved next year. My key player and player of the season was Judd Molea who made 10 appearances scoring 13 goals and grabbed 5 assists. Hopefully i keep hold of him as he is only on a amateur contract. I have managed to sign 10 new players for the upcoming season and maybe more if i can find the right players that i need. Here's to next season. Come on you Warriors! ( Quick edit to this i actually qualified for the OFC Champions League for finishing 2nd which i didn't realise.. Update on that to follow. ) CLUB Season | Club | League pos. | Continental qual. | Cont. kieranDRFC
Season 2018 - Solomon Warriors I started the season with the surprise that i had qualified for the OFC Champions League. I'd made 11 new signings which i missed out on the previous season due to me joining the club after the transfer window had closed. I was well prepared for the Champions League and felt i should qualify with ease which i did finishing top of the group with 2 wins and only 1 loss. Another game which i thought would be easy was to come in the Quarters in which i just scraped through with a 2-1 win. Unfortunately the dream ended in the Semi's where i lost to Fijian club Suva FC. The target for the league was to win it after last years disappointment. I certainly didn't disappoint this year dropping only 7 points all season and winning the league by 3 points which was a bit closer than i would have liked. Three of my striker scored double figures over the course of the season which i was pleased about. Unfortunately though my journey with the Solomon Warriors will be coming to an end to further my progress with the challenge. Having won the league and no cup competition and a highly unlikely chance of winning the OFC Champions League im looking at moving to another club within the Oceania region to further my trophy collection. Here's to the next step. Stay tuned. CLUB Season | Club | League pos. | Continental qual. | Cont. thomas_e
Corinthians - 2025 season With a lacking FM motivation I haven't been playing for the last couple of months. But this week it came back! A short update from me, need to get back playing Left Japan after winning the Asian Champions League and Japanese league. Left the continent to take over Corinthians. Tipped for 3rd place in the league, but a couple of key signings made for a really strong team. We won the League, League Cup, Copa Libertadores and the Clup World Championships, beating Real Madrid 2-1 in stoppage time! thomas_e
A bit of a double post by me: Boca/Inter/Argentina - 2027-2029 After winning the Brazilian league, Copa Libertadores, the Brazilian Cup and the Club World Cup, it was time to step away from the Brazilian League. I took over Boca Juniors who had just won the league the previous year. Maradona was their manager but he retired, leaving a vacant spot. It was a very straightforward season, and winning the league really wasnt difficult, the team being superior. I got knocked out of the Copa Libertadores, and we were already knocked out of the cup, so only the one title. At the same time I took over Argentina. A good side with a terrific midfield, and crap defense (so, very realistic). We went on to win the Copa America, beating rivals Brazil in the final. After leaving Boca, I just played a season with Argentina. I enjoy national team management, but didnt really enjoy the team. We had absolutely zero talent in defense, and the upcoming World Cup would be very tough. When I stepped up the club management search I resigned from Argentina. Inter offered me their vacant manager spot in May, with a few games left to be played. The league was already won by Juve. We won our remaining 4 games, and finished 2nd. A big transfer budget gave me money to spent in the summer and we spent it wisely. This being a short term job anyway I signed Fabinho (34 yrs) and Arthur (31 yrs) on bosman to give me experience in midfield. This combined with some other big name signings gave us a really strong, dynamic side, and we went on to win the league! First time in 20 years for Inter! We got the "group of death" in the Champions League, playing Barcelona, Monaco and Zenith. A miraculous 1-0 win away to Monaco gave us advancement, and from there we played three really weak English sides, Man Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool. The final was a tense affair, winning on penalties. We have to count ourselves lucky as Barcelona dominated in terms of chances. I think I will look for a new job now, as its really all about winning leagues. But is anyone still active on this challenge? If not, its quite tempting to move this over to @vikeologist challenge. bigmattb28
Here we go. Manager is Charles Ocean from the Bahamas. Added Dynamos as his favourite team as I don't have the achievement yet and they're a half decent team in the Bahamas so I'll aim for that job eventually Leagues loaded from the start: Will add nations as I go, aim will be to remove a nation once I've won the top league there. Applied for all the jobs available at the start and there's a lot but ended up at Pinelands in Barbados Only player in the team is Arantes Lawrence My assistant looks half decent for this level of football, I may try and take him with me when I move on I have given contracts to all greyed out players and will try sign some more. I'll probably post updates of every other month in game or as and when I can.
himan
2017-2018 - Solomon Warriors First season, and I had to start somewhere. I want to do this challenge as fast as possible, but also try to be kinda realistic. Solomon Warriors gave me the opportunity to win the first of 25 leagues immediately. Also I want to give somewhat more information about the league. I know I started at the same place as someone mentioned above. It's a coincidence. Also I already left, but that's for later. S-Telekom League+Friendlies - We won all our friendlies except of one against Las Utd. then we started winning in the league with the Henderson Eels twice???(I think it's a mistake in the database, but whatever) Than we droe against Marist Fire, the team I thought was our biggest opponent. And even lost to FC Guadalcanal, then I decided to play a bit less attacking, just try to win. That helped a lot. 6 wins with the game against KOSSA as the most important one. KOSSA was the biggest opponent in the end. The games after Kossa I had to do without my best players, which was annoying. They had an international game or something. The game against Western Utd with full power sealed the championship in the end. Only a loss with 4 or more goals difference against KOSSA would lose top spot for us. We only lost 0-1 and also were way better than them. So Yay. Standings-Finished first, well deserved I guess, though I wanted the difference to be even more. We qualified for the O-League and I wanted to do it, because most leagues start again in June/July and the final was in may, but after 1 O-League game, I knew already it was over, so then I resigned. Tactics-Attacking 4-2-3-1 Transfers- For a next season I would try to buy all the best players of the islands, though some didn't want to come. We had lots of money. O-League was out of reach due to fitness Manager-Nothing happened.
thomas_e
Season 2029-2031 Just a short update from me, mainly because there doesnt seem to be a lot of activity on this challenge these days I left Inter after my first year, and took over Bayern, looking to get my second European league title. We did that comfortably, and won the Bundesliga with a comfortable 17 points. We also won the Champions League, making that two consecutive CL-titles. Unfortunately, we got knocked out in the quarter final of the Cup by BMG. I left Bayern and took over Shakhtar Donetsk. A very easy league and Cup title, going unbeaten through the season. We also managed to get to the first knock out stage of the Champions League, which was fun. Unsurprisingly, Liverpool were too strong and knocked us out. On the way I also managed Italy. An extremely talented side in attack, but lacked quality central defenders like you wouldnt believe. My first choice was a back up at Lazio! I left midway through the Euro qualification to take over a strong Mexico side! Havent had my first game yet, but hoping for a Gold Cup win in two years. I have almost completed the European side of the challenge, having won all my league titles and the CL. Still missing the UEFA Europa League. Bit harsh to include that @TheEarl I am trying to find a job in Africa now. After one year in Ukraine my reputation rating has already taken a hit. Can't see managing a club side in the Ivory Coast helping.... Unfortunately I forgot to take screenshots of my Ukrainian adventure, but I have it of course on my manager history.
