It was working for me initially, after I got promoted (which was around the same time the last patch came out) to EPL (with MK Dons) and buying some wonderkids (I gave myself sugar daddy), my defence is all over the place (last season in EPL it was second worst).

It doesn't really matter which version I use, every game opposition scores 3-5 goals against my team. I'm training 'defensive positioning' as match preparation which doesn't help at all.

Offensively it's looking quite good, but it's hard to outscore my opponent (it usually means scoring 4-5 goals to win a game).

I would change it to something else but not many tactics use wingers.

I would suggest you re train wingers as strikers for the outside role of front 3, or WBs if more defensively minded. Then use GOODBYE 343.

Can you also check dressing room support.

I would say exceptional, did you improve squad.

In the winter transfer window I sold Keko for 31.5m euro and I bought Pedraga Rajkovica and Joaquin Correa. When I won 2-0, I always changed the tactics (Contain).

Hi Mate!

Congrat!

Could you please give me the link for the tactic which you used with Malaga. I am a bit confused because there is the tactic in the OP for 18.2. Current patch is 18.2.1.

What was the match prep during the season?

Thank you in advance!

Away matches against R.Madrid, Barca, Atletico, Valencia, Sevilla match prep. 50% Defending and mentality Contain. Home match prep. 20% Attacking. High morale and match cohesion are very important.

Home you can use a more top dog tactic

Away more under dog tactic

I'm using Volante 442 anchor and Volante 442 BBM more away and the 2. also at home. Only use GOODBYE 451 against much worse teams or  sometimes even against better teams. I think I can surprise the stronger oppoent with that tactic and after some time I go back to anchor. Think this is working. Need some more cohesion in the team and I have more AML and AMR than ML an MR players. Any further suggestions?

will keep you updated how it is working.

Thx.

Knap, I'm finding this tactic absolutely amazing away from home!! standard mentality Vs teams you'd generally expect to beat and bigger teams to be fair however I've been receptive to switching to attacking mentality if not winning mid-second half to great success!

I'm Liverpool just in case...many thanks Knap!

You described the using of your two uploaded tactics in your Malaga save. It is not clear for me.

When were you using attacking tactic? When were you using contain tactic?

Away matches against (R.Madrid, Barca, Atletico, Valencia, Sevilla) strong opponents in Bundesliga match prep. 50% Defending and mentality Contain.  - >It means that you used contain tactic? and other away matches?

Home match prep. 20% Attacking -> It means that you used attacking tactic or maybe contain?

So

HOME: training?, tactic?

AWAY: training?, tactic?

AWAY(against strong opponents): training?, tactic?

Could you please uploaded the training set up regarding home matches and away ones?

Did you use OI, Team Talk, Touchline isntr or Assistant Manager did?

THANK YOU SO MUCH IN ADVANCE!

Ok knap, I'm just asking. What do you think about this formation;

------------ AF - AF ------------

WM(A) -HB(D) - CM(A) - WM(A)

Maybe F9s for AFs but I'm not sure.

Can you quickly test it. I wanted to test but my computer crashed and I have no time to fix it until next week because of my own works.

  • 3 weeks later...

I've tested a little tweak of anchor version for though matches away or single games like ucl final when My team was given as underdog.

Put wing backs on defending duties and one of The strikers as complete fwd attacking.

I managed To win ucl with Az alkmaar quite easily
