[FM 18] Prishtina Youth Academy Challenge

FC_Prishtina_svg.thumb.png.a6629481c287270d190c38a99275bcf6.png

FC Prishtina, commonly known as Prishtina is a professional football club based in Prishtina, Kosovo. The club play in the Football Superleague of Kosovo, which is the top tier of football in the country.

Why Kosovo? It's a fairly new nation in european competitons and the league itself isn't the best so I thought it would be a good idea to lead a club from this nation to glory.

Why Prishtina? Because it's the best club in the country, starting a youth challenge in Kosovo is hard enough, so I wanted to give myself a bit of an advantage, plus they play in the Europa League in first year and the club's facilities aren't that bad, just take a look

Not too bad.

And why a youth challenge? I got inspired by a few users to do this sort of thing, I like to challenge myself and as I'm not the greatest FM player and this is my first time this probably not going to last for too long

Certianly not in Europa League as Jagiellonia are our first opponents and because they are one of the best sides in Poland this is not going to be fun one bit. Next update will cover our European journey so stay tuned for that!

Good luck with this.

It's great to see so many Youth threads this year. Don't assume that because Kosovo have weak structure this will be easy. By picking a stronger team in a small structure you actually make it hard to start with because the demands of the board will be higher. Easier would be a rubbish team where there are little or no expectations.

Do you know anything about Prishtina? (I have never heard of them, and I know absolutely nothing Kosovan football).

We did amazingly! Considering I had no expectations coming into this, it has to come down as a success! We beat Jagiellonia in the first round on away goals, we were dominated in Kosovo and a bit lucky to only have a one goal disadvantage coming into Poland, but after a change in the tactics we played great and stunned Poles as we went through to the next round where we faced swedish side AIK. Coming into this I was hopeful this time around as the Swedes were pretty similiar in terms of quality to Jagiellonia, of course we still were the underdogs and AIK were expecting a victory, it didn't turn out that way. Oh it didn't. The game in Prishtina was pretty even and a defeat was harsh for AIK, a draw would have been a better reflection of the game, but we took our chances and they didn't. It was even more difficult away as they proved to be very, very tough, we were outplayed throught the 90 minutes, like you would expect but we hit them on the break and it worked! Onto the 3rd round! We had a much tougher opponent in the form of Fenerbahce! We were beaten as you would expect but I was still proud, to lose in Kosovo was harsh as it was a tight game and a moment of genius from Soldado gave them advantage coming into the second leg. Fener had a much better game over in Turkey dominating us, but thankfully for us they failed to beat us, hell we even went in front before Skrtel killed off our dreams of making a sensational fightback.

20171203202548_1.thumb.jpg.b8657ffefa045220b324f790f9d46208.jpg

And thanks to our heroics we have just under a milion in the bank which will surely prove useful in the future!

20171203202645_1.thumb.jpg.1a1d6560d7580ecabf0c18cbc385db83.jpg

Strangely we just about met the board objectives for this season! Madness!

Overall I'm delighted :)

Oh don't get me wrong it will be hard! I meant it would be eaiser for us in Europe and it would be easier to get into Europe with the quality of my team, the board will be harsh of course :) As far as I'm aware Prishtina are the most succesful Kosovar side in the history and were playing in the Top Yugoslav tier at one point. They also made one apperance in Europe irl losing to Norrkoping as far as I am aware :) Glad to see you following!

Youth Upgrades!

20171203205754_1.thumb.jpg.6c7b4549fc77ae2df2828f4b5fb7a288.jpg20171203205757_1.thumb.jpg.434cd8f1ba595c78f20310c2637a81dd.jpg

We are only 5 games into the season, but our chairman who is clearly happy with how the things are going decided to upgrade both our youth recriutment and our junior coaching, which will hopefully will have a impact on this season's intake :)

20171203205917_1.thumb.jpg.d12be40273833113d2ffb24e87bc4209.jpg

And with that, this is how our facilities are looking, while our recriutment is fantastic for this level, our junior coaching needs some work, hopefully it doesn't take too long before it gets some nice upgrades.

Other kosovar club in europe

20171203213735_1.thumb.jpg.52592596565f9d68d018994ebec5f36c.jpg

I almost forgot about this! The only other club from Kosovo playing in Europe this season was Trepca, they've done well in the first round to beat the maltese champions 4-0, but as expected they didn't do to well against Partizan (to put it lightly). Still with their 1st round win and our europa league heroics it should help out Kosovo in getting more places in Europe next year.

First part of the season review

20171204001011_1.thumb.jpg.9dd8bb278af7c55ece144f0a5112033f.jpg

As the season is heading into a break I decided to make a review of all the games so far as Prishtina manager, well I think it's safe to say, things are going rather well. Undefeated in 18 games in which we won 15 and drew 3. We have been very prolific in front of goals scoring 51 times in 18 games, our defence has also been pretty good, we only conceded 15 goals.

20171203205325_1.thumb.jpg.439e6f9670f9e775595747df795be3b1.jpg

Shame we aren't so good at taking penalties

20171204000940_1.thumb.jpg.cd3342d1a06fec4396c1c39818e934de.jpg

Anyway thanks to our fantastic start we now have a point lead over second placed Trepca!

20171204001030_1.thumb.jpg.c65e0518ebc7320eaf9e60f42deb8a12.jpg

The team has been playing some fantastic football as you can see by the average ratings, here are some key performers so far:

20171204001035_1.thumb.jpg.849fd13bff2db0d5229f260da86b1a36.jpg

The former Vorskla man has been fantastic, so far he's our top scorer and is one of the main reasons we are doing so well.

20171204001040_1.thumb.jpg.e1ee6878a1a912a8faabc6aca9c0d4cd.jpg

I also have to mention this guy, the young kosovar dm has had the highest average rating in the whole team so far, he is fantastic.

YOUTH INTAKE DAY

20171204182115_1.thumb.jpg.d1c9ddc63c13622ec57510da67f86e6f.jpg

Oh boy here comes the big day, I've been waiting for it for the whole season!

20171204182112_1.thumb.jpg.af95576eea3ab0073d7ed3114f297a84.jpg

It's not as good as I expected, while the top 3 players all have good CA for players who just came into the club, their PA is not THAT impressive, then again the coaches might be wrong or it's just me being harsh, let's take a better look at the young lads.

20171204182419_1.thumb.jpg.b165999c49054ea66351e030322e0c63.jpg

Here is the lad who seemed the most impressive to the coaches and to be fair I have to agree. Aside from his positioning all his defensive attributes look pretty good for a 16yo at this level. He has decent determination and if we can improve his physical side, he might become a very important player, especially with our main senior CB unwilling to sign a new deal.

20171204182423_1.thumb.jpg.3226ebfa73980eed7f344377a6b10ea4.jpg

Dinor look fantastic, if his passing was a bit better he would be ideal but he's not bad to begin with. He's also pretty tall for an attacking midfielder! The only issue i have is his low determination, hopefully it won't have a negative effect on his improvement, I also don't play with AM'S but he'll do fine as a advanced player maker CM, I'm going to train him up in this role.

20171204182429_1.thumb.jpg.640a09a9bda25b156285ac5eac03c82a.jpg

Ismael looks ok, aside from his first touch his stats aren't bad for a 16yo at this level. Has decent determination and is pretty tall, which is pretty darn good, hopefilly he can be a fine shot stopper for us.

20171204182448_1.thumb.jpg.85215cfadb7d07cba8bb1b00a61495e5.jpg

Tagged purely due to his finishing and first touch combo which will be absolutely deadly in this division. I can't see him becoming anything special, hopefully my coaches are wrong about his potential, because if they are with a bit of an improvement in physical and mental areas he can be a good little poacher for us, although his determination of bloody 5 doesn't give me too much hope.

2017/18 SEASON REVIEW

20171204195602_1.thumb.jpg.a0b4d56b17b8689917d2b8af1bfcdec7.jpg

We've held our nerve and managed to hold on to the Kosovar league title, we may not have finished the season unbeaten but hey we won the league and the cup smashing relegated Flamurtari (P) 6-1 in the final and no  Tajar Bajrami (YP1D) didn't play in the final so no more goals for him for now at least ;)

20171204195735_1.thumb.jpg.51b3367c0dc7dd0076d436b854625fe0.jpg

In the end we won the Kosovar top tier with 82 points losing only 3 times and winning 26, we finished 15 points above Trepca! We scored 86 times this season and conceded only 29 goals in 33 games. Surprisingly both top tier sides in the relegation play-off ended up going down.

20171204195503_1.thumb.jpg.e9b7b664aefd77732617a16ca1e092cd.jpg 20171204195508_1.thumb.jpg.e11121abc35c2fc8758198211bb36660.jpg

As you can see no transfers I'm not cheating ;) Everything went just as the media expected, a little disappointed to not finish unbeaten but hey it's not that bad.

20171204195625_1.thumb.jpg.a9f237224ac0fd560faedc5f82e73202.jpg 20171204195717_1.thumb.jpg.a9b99f6fb7d1158338ec2362d97a5dd4.jpg 20171204195725_1.thumb.jpg.74ce6923756fab55b999bba8e9345001.jpg

And here are the team ratings and some key performers: The albanian striker was a key part of our fantastic season scoring 42 and with Tajar Bajrami (YP1D)  next to him next season things could be interesting :) Boshnjaku was a key member of our midfield, being an excellent player both in defence as well as going foward racking up a 7,63 average rating as well as scoring 4 and assisting 6, coming from a DM. Solid.

20171204195641_1.thumb.jpg.2662ff47b6cc7b397bb34dcced677527.jpg 20171204195649_1.thumb.jpg.f31fdbc0b7211eaa1728907a67b429b4.jpg 20171204195700_1.thumb.jpg.ce0a886de56051f7687576ef270e87bb.jpg 20171204195708_1.thumb.jpg.6ff7637fce1e52c297e95193b7428c17.jpg

And now we take a quick look at our intake 'stars': Tajar Bajrami (YP1D) has been improving his stats have gone up by a bit and he changed his nationality (idk why) to Albanian, he always finds away to surprise me :p Albano Lluca (YP1B) has played 2 games for us and for someone fresh out of the youth set-up he wasn't bad, his defensive stats as well as his physical side are growing and his potential wnet up to 5*:) Dinor Halabaku (YP1A) has not played a game for us yet, not because he is bad, of course not, hell he even is growing quite nicely, he didn't play because he was awkard as a CM, but now he is learning how to play in that position quite well, he will get game time next year I'm sure. Ismael Zefi (YP1C) grew slightly, not anything crazy, he didn't play a game for us either mostly due to the fact he is far behind the CA of our senior goalkeepers, his potential has gone up to 4,5*

20171204195749_1.thumb.jpg.42542cb742398c379f5d47d9215e9d5a.jpg

In terms of individual performances in the league our players have dominated pretty much all the boxes, aside from the red and yellow cards (thank god for that :p). Just as you would expect from league champions ;)

20171204195430_1.thumb.jpg.d4b7bc9779a7ddd9907379fb044327f5.jpg 20171204195434_1.thumb.jpg.0ef39e60b25bf1eb55ec26491312b2f0.jpg 20171204195438_1.thumb.jpg.e167146d7905de5b792f7d9354402d60.jpg

And right after our Kosovar cup final win, my amazing chairman decided to further improve both our junior coaching and youth recruitment :applause:Now let's just pray for Kosovo's version of Messi in the next intake

More youth :D

I'd be interested to see if the Kosovo national team gets any stars from abroad, because I've seen German and English intakes with part-Kosovar players.

Not sure about amount of the regens as I only have Kosovo loaded, at this point I'd say we are the only Kosovar club capable of making players good enough for even youth teams, YP1B is decent, he might have a decent career, but it's probably going to be players from abroad due to to higher youth level in these countires, altough I wouldn't complain if it's going to be mostly Prishtina youth :D

uefa-champions-league.thumb.jpg.e6d905d1160a18f341dfaa124dc3320a.jpg

20171205152200_1.thumb.jpg.5ef361f72c2fddae5a931c42f354da1c.jpg

So here is our first run in the Champions League! To start off we faced champions of Gibraltar Europa FC, surprisingly Lincoln Red Imps failed to make it, not sure how, but anyway, we destroyed them and by that I mean we really destroyed them. 15-0! Conceding 15 in space of 2 matches is bad enough but when Tajar Bajrami (YP1D) scores 4 against you, you know things aren't going well  Anyway after beating Gibraltar's champions we faced against my former side Santa Coloma, with who I did a story last year if you remember :) It was 'only' 5-1 in Andorra, they scored one of their very few chances and we were pretty bad at finishing in that game, hell we probably wouldn't finish our dinner that day... Anyway we made up for it in Kosovo though smashing them 8-0, guess Santa Coloma's not coming to town this year  We had a very tough draw in the first round facing Copenhagen, it seemed like a nightmare. And it was like that in Denmark where we were very lucky to only lose 2-1, which gave us hope coming to the 2nd game in Kosovo. We won 3-1 with a 96th minute penalty putting us through! What a result that is! Anyway onto the second round here we faced a much easier opponent in Alashkert, i wasn't going to take them for granted though and we didn't. 5-0 in Kosovo and 4-0 in Armenia to complete a comfortable tie. In the 3rd round we faced Swedish champions Goteborg, and sadly this proved the end of the road. Unlike Copenhagen the Scandinavian side showed us how much we lack in order to make any group stages, with a 1-0 and 3-2 defeats putting us out :(

20171204223029_1.thumb.jpg.4fd6815f997f8263878f0095da8ac2dc.jpg 20171204223033_1.thumb.jpg.5606c5940303895c61216356ee64c807.jpg

We did get some money for it though...

europa-league.thumb.jpg.6e5cc30de17b0d73acdaae83100aeebd.jpg.6b22b306a6dd529d23f7a0eb0ca78e75.jpg

20171205152219_1.thumb.jpg.8ed6848bc8e2ee5cd0c1a622b447e1d5.jpg

Sadly Copenhagen took revenge on us in the Europa League play-off, I mean what kind of luck do I have to have to come up against them twice in one season...  Anyway we got smashed in Denmark with them beating us 6-3 and Santander scoring a hat-trick against us, we did much better in Kosovo 2-2 is not a bad result to finish off Europe for this season.

20171204223758_1.thumb.jpg.520a505251f1ece314994e16ab393d46.jpg 20171205152225_1.thumb.jpg.1a94c0187fd408619c283eaf83154e18.jpg 20171205152230_1.thumb.jpg.d763bde785c100da34084b98d3d50750.jpg

And this left us with following amount of money, sadly the board didn't want to improve our facilities, but that is understandable looking at our projection, I mean where all these losses form? We don't even spend that much on wages...

europa-league.thumb.jpg.6e5cc30de17b0d73acdaae83100aeebd.jpg.43fc8d15b46667e53241d252cae01c5a.jpg pobrane.jpg.91a02e6f714b3522e62d64b660ccf763.jpg

20171205152332_1.thumb.jpg.2f02db5c1dc251c2a6da495f6335da24.jpg

And here is how the other Kosovar side did this season, Trepca did well to beat La Fiorita 6-0 over the two legs, sadly they got smashed by Maccabi in the second round, depsite a 2-2 draw in Kosovo, a 4-0 defeat in Israel didn't give the too much hope of going through.

20171205152509_1.thumb.jpg.66ab1a4545387112e868b7dcd41ca0f7.jpg

Also shotout to our youth star Albano Lluca (YP1B), who had some mad growth recently, I mean look at it! He also did well in the Chmapion and Europa League games this year, so he 100% will be our starting CB this year, won't take him long to hit his PA at this rate!

First part of season 2 review

20171205175409_1.thumb.jpg.f7fbacf4774269c3a578c2a2dae4e343.jpg

We started the season off with a 2-0 Super Cup win over second division side Flamutari (P), overall an easy game for us, they never looked like a threat to us. In the league we are doing quite well not as good as last year, of course, but still the results were pretty good and just like in the previous season we are heading into the winter break top of the table. Great stuff from our boys, I gave the youth chances and they did ok, we'll get into that in just a second.

20171205175417_1.thumb.jpg.008d439958f474d69d743dfc9b402ab6.jpg

We are 8 points clear of second placed Feronikeli, who to their credit are having a fantastic season and no shame in being behind the best team in the country ;) Last year's runners up Trepca '89 on the other hand are having an awful time and could have trouble staying up with their form doesn't improve soon. And of course we drew to bottom of the league KEK-u who only collected 8 points so far, ****ing great

20171205175439_1.thumb.jpg.b71e613778507daa157cf81775d2134b.jpg 20171205175430_1.thumb.jpg.fb088c98d963043cf2f64038251db558.jpg

The team is doing pretty well in terms of form, even the young lads (bar one, but more that soon...). Our key man is Januzi who has 27 goals in all competitons so far and it's only the first part of the season! What a player, it will be hard to replace him once he's gone :(

20171205175446_1.thumb.jpg.e770d4098bf1c4b38fc72e0278827c1a.jpg 20171205175457_1.thumb.jpg.78a1f9b71ff9e90b4332ccf948027393.jpg 20171205175500_1.thumb.jpg.5e5504669a997cd7669504f10d400934.jpg 20171205175510_1.thumb.jpg.e82c4e5a0c3b8c3b36d955df4decf523.jpg

Now let's look how our youth intake products are doing! I am very, very happy with Albano Lluca (YP1B), the growth on this lad has been absolutely mental, when the season started he had 1,5* CA and after half of the season he's already up to 2,5* CA, and his defensive stats my word, just look, 14 heading, 15 marking, 11 tackling for a Kosovar 17 year-old is something to be excited about, he can be the future of both our backline and the backline of Kosovo's national team! Dinor Halabaku (YP1A) has not been involved a whole lot so far, let's put it that way, until he can learn to play as a cm naturally he'll be a bench warmer, to be fair to him, when he played he actually was pretty decent and has gone up from 1,5* CA to 2* CA and with 4* PA and lot of time to grow, certianly he'll be a player for years to come, Ismael Zefi (YP1C) has had a decent run of form 7,19 in all competitons is great for a 16 year old, he is a fantastic shot stopper for his age and has been improving a lot, he went from 1,5* CA to 2* CA, very happy with the lad and I can't imagine how good he will be when he hits his potential. Tajar Bajrami (YP1D) oh boy, oh boy, now he is an weird one, first of all he had 8 starts in Kosovar first division where he failed to score, on the other hand he scored 6 goals in champions league games, now for a 17 year old he's not bad, but I'm not happy with his form in the domestic division. But he still has time he went from 3* silver stars CA to 1* gold star CA, which is amazing, he has improved a bit physically his finishing and first touch is going up as well, but the bad thing is he only has 3* PA and if a good striker comes out of this year's intake it might be hard for him to do anything, even though we play a 3 up-top system. Anyway I'll be seeing you on the Youth Intake Day, hopefully today, but I can't promise anything.

2019 YOUTH INTAKE

20171206155323_1.thumb.jpg.73978282d51f1b31efd98f83f9ba89cf.jpg

So here we go with another youth intake :) I'd like to get some players for our defence because it's getting very old and some of my best defenders aren't willing to sign a new deal, let's see...

20171206155343_1.thumb.jpg.49e4385a25fac28780b991a45236e980.jpg

And I almost got what i wanted :D 2 full-backs is great news, they have good potential as well, happy with that we also have a pretty interesting striker come through. Again for a 2nd year in a row no player pops up with 5* PA, but you know it might rise after they sign a contract, just like in (YP1B)'s case.

20171206155331_1.thumb.jpg.6fa3ca575d6960de2a576d1e477d46bb.jpg

And here is the striker, meet mr. Enea Dervishi (YP2A). First of all he starts off with a decent finishing ability as well as good first touch. To add to it he has 15 determination, good flair, teamwork, ok pace and good leadership (future captian perhaps? ;)). His acceleration isn't fantastic, neither his dribbling, agility or strength. But he can play decently in all 3 striker roles crucial to my tactic, although he might be too short for a target man, he'll do just fine as an poacher or a advanced foward. If he can hit his 4,5* PA and grow in physicals he might be a goal scoring machine for us.

20171206155327_1.thumb.jpg.d4429fe00e5670a35da0e403e4a00b3c.jpg

Here is the man my staff were excited about, Amarildo Gerxhailu (YP2B). The tiny (159cm!) fullback is a great tackler already, comes with great teamwork and bravery, decent concentration and is pretty quick for a young Kosovar regen. If he can improve his positioning, marking, stamina and be even quicker at 4* PA he might be a great player for us. I also love the fact that he is 2-footed so we can always retrain him as a left-back.

20171206155336_1.thumb.jpg.eae078ccafa3284aeefaa722ff6a66a5.jpg

Ramiz Krasniqi (YP2C) is also ok. First of all he is faster than Amarildo, taller and has better stamina, but he is slightly worse in his techincal stats and has pretty bad mentals as well (bar teamwork). While he's never going to be as good as (YP2B) he certianly isn't bad, he might not have a potential that high (only 3,5*) he can certianly be a key part of our defence if he improves like expected.

I read that bit about Krasniqi as "faster than an armadillo" and thought, "that's handy". :ackter:

May I ask if you have additional editor data installed? Very weird to see you playing 5 qualifying rounds for the Champions League... It's just 4 in real life, isn't it?

If i had beaten Goteborg I'd actually have played 6 rounds! I think it will be also like this irl next season if i'm not mistaken, and as i dont have any editor data aside from kosovar leagues, i think it was just implemented by SI to the game

Oh right, I forgot the CL will incorporate the new structure next season. Better start reading into that then...

EDIT: So apparently the 4 lowest ranked countries in the UEFA play two preliminary rounds, but contrary to your matches, they're one-legged, so win two matches and you're in the first qualifying round. That said, my research tells me that Kosovo should be able to gain more Europa League spots as they climb up as the UEFA did not fix its spots. It just needs to climb up in its first season. Interesting to see how this will work out irl.

2018/19 SEASON REVIEW

20171207203313_1.thumb.jpg.106be46b31941db8dcbbea4fcc7b6409.jpg

In the end we managed to hold on to the titile, we did very well in the 2nd half of the season adding a Kosovar Cup after beating Trepca '89 in the final 2-0

20171207203239_1.thumb.jpg.c2304afdd93cf557770d4d35e79fa6f9.jpg

Again another comfortable title win this time 21 points above Drenica, we scored less goals than last season and got 3 less points, but I don't feel like that's too much of a deal.

20171207203323_1.thumb.jpg.300d59ff59227308378ca3daade32c5a.jpg 20171207203334_1.thumb.jpg.0692ad90db448c93541fbb858e1d0e8f.jpg

And here are the average ratings, the youth did quite well this year, especially Lluca but more on him later. Januzi was our top permofer this year getting an whooping 7,80 average rating and scoring 39 goals as well, he's just good, I can't imagine where we would be without him.

20171207203328_1.thumb.jpg.6212691b3dd52ff9666d48d05d22b0d5.jpg

Just take a look at Lluca, he started the season off as 1,5* CA player and ends it as an 3,5* CA player, the growth in physicals has been superb, his mentals and defending stats are coming along nicely as well. Just make sure he stays here forever, no pressure :)

20171207203553_1.thumb.jpg.21114db3009db3f3db1647ee7e9a3030.jpg 20171207203557_1.thumb.jpg.c6ae94454b12956b1cb8c2184d293b7e.jpg 20171207203601_1.thumb.jpg.fcaaaafde11d5e3439f424dfdf41e9d8.jpg

And some more good news as we upgraded our junior coaching and youth recruitment even more, look at it it's superb now! Can't wait for next intake!

Hmmm.. not completely right. I'd expected that you would've gained an additional Europa League spot, but unfortunately you didn't. I believe that was the main reason @shaunvamos left for Montenegro in his Kosovo save.

The only way to actually gain CL spots is to reach the top 6 of Europe, which will take a very long time.

I was more referring to the Europa League ones: most countries have 3 spots, except for the lowest 4 (who have 2) and Liechtenstein and Kosovo both 1. However, Gibraltar also only started with 1 and gained an extra one after one or two years (I guess it's some sort of an entry policy). It could be possible you gain an extra Europa League spot by default in one or two seasons, so we'll keep an eye on that ;)

All right, so much for my qualifying spots rant :D

20171208161831_1.thumb.jpg.62caa255eaa2818e2a0d2dd6fe074cf8.jpg

So we are back with the Champions League, let's take a look how Kosovo's pride did! In the first Santa Coloma was coming to town, too bad to only get battered :D 5-0 and 6-0 wins completed a comfortable victory for us, they never really stood a chance against us to be perfectly honest, it also saw Enea Dervishi (YP2A) score his first and second Champions League goals, not bad for a 16 year-old ;) In the second round we faced Europa FC, who seemingly broke Lincoln's domination in Gibraltar, anyway they actually put a fight this time, rather suprisingly! We 'only' beat them 3-1 at home, though we should have won by more and their only chance was a penalty (Cheers Lluca..) which they scored, in Gibraltar however the game was pretty even and we could have even gone out with a bit of luck on their side, thankfully our cool-finishing prevented an upset, Dervishi scored in that game as well :) Onto the first round! Where we actually had a 'derby'! Red Star vs Prishtina, Serbia vs Kosovo! Bring it on! We lucked out in the first leg as they were better, to their credit however they actually had to come from behind, a decent result for them, a fantastic result for us! Did they build on that result? No they didn't! 3-1 for the Kosovar side as Khalid got a hat-trick! Now Serbia have more reasons to be mad at Kosovo :applause:In the 2nd round we faced Swedish side Malmo, a side similar to Red Star and even though we beat them I knew Malmo are not pushovers, they weren't like that in Sweden as we went down 3-0 in the 66th minute through a Rosenberg's penalty, before two late goals from from Khalid and Boshnjaku gave us hope coming into the second leg. And we stunned the former European Cup finalists (!) as we beat them 2-0 with the deciding goal coming from a player from our own youth academy: Dinor Halabaku (YP1A)! Now that's why you give youth a chance! Sadly for us in the third round we came up against @Jupjamie's favourite club ( ;) ). And they smashed us... 4-1 in Croatia we were bloody awful in that game, could have lost by even more goals, thankfully for us it didn't get any worse, it even got better in Kosovo, we only lost 0-1 and could have won if our fowards could finish..

20171208164141_1.thumb.jpg.aea478510f5f1597e26ddafd86a096e4.jpg

We did get some good news later though :D **** you Dinamo!

europa-league.thumb.jpg.91022bf2d2dc3241a99cb40beb590325.jpg

20171208161840_1.thumb.jpg.f5bc2731b560908578d9bef7d2802533.jpg

I wasn't expecting much coming into this, FCSB are avery good side, I expected to get destroyed here, hell even I was counting the money for the play-off loss before even the ball was kicked :D Somehow we beat them 3-1 in Romania, it was a very tight game, suprisingly. Even more surprisingly we took our chances for once!  I was expecting a hard game in Kosovo, in the end however we smashed them 3-0! They were bloody hopeless in that game, why can't we play like this every week? :D

20171207232437_1.thumb.jpg.59bee9a906ddc5983a3b89e8923f2534.jpg

Oooh baby look at the cash! :D

That left us with 3 milion in the bank and allowed us to do the first training facilites upgrade :)

20171208161621_1.thumb.jpg.00a121e61b67bd80728afe9c2109b0fd.jpg

That gave as a tough group, but who cares! We already have the money! I'll be happy with 1 point here :) No pressure

Other Kosovar club in Europe

Drenica faced maltese Floriana in the first round and beat them 6-0 over the two legs, their defeat to FH is dissapointing though :( A narrow one as well, but it's a sign of improvement at least!

First part of season 3 review

20171210194755_1.thumb.jpg.4565be69241e9455dab3988773d261c6.jpg

I think it's safe to say we are doing pretty well :D Unbeaten in 18 with 14 wins, as expected we are top of table, the games weren't as easy as they were in 2 last years mostly due to Europe, but we still grinded out the results we needed.

20171210194818_1.thumb.jpg.3b84e1d167ec701ad6dc0de84df0979b.jpg

Despite our unbeaten run we are still only 5 points above second placed Trepca '89, who have been doing amazingly this season, which I didn't expect considering they barely avoided relegation last season. So far we have been very prolific in front of goal, scoring 48 goals in 18 matches, while conceding only 13.

europa-league.thumb.jpg.87dc364eeff79eea56d9c7e8f025ad01.jpg

20171210195026_1.thumb.jpg.425f12ab42e456bd7b7c8e37647aef0c.jpg

We've been shocking in the first 4 games, picking up only 1 point, but we did win our last 2 games, was that enough to go though?

20171210195036_1.thumb.jpg.6891935976a9c0ddefd0625c994b30eb.jpg

No it wasn't :( We were only 2 points away from going through to the knockout stages :( But considering how hard the group was and how bad our team is compared to our rivals, I'm still proud of the boys

20171210194828_1.thumb.jpg.aa3b1c9942c51b9523e10f7d84af4379.jpg 20171210194835_1.thumb.jpg.644b2870c398414c03c92d14031b1745.jpg

Our two most important players have been Khalid and Boshnjaku, Khalid has already scored 23 goals and for the first time has outscored Januzi, Boshnjaku as usual performs well picking up a 7,75 average rating :D

20171210194929_1.thumb.jpg.f154677a2e96e0adf0c806d7853e2e8e.jpg 20171210194939_1.thumb.jpg.c441c5c78cd412bb39c4671582bd4314.jpg 20171210194946_1.thumb.jpg.7b9039fa83243a11f281a0045e9bf0ae.jpg 20171210194953_1.thumb.jpg.d110dc8002a527dfe32ba0be3225ba10.jpg 20171210194958_1.thumb.jpg.7eb28f533336dc173e5b161d7ce1204d.jpg 20171210195008_1.thumb.jpg.71d1a975cf4d51adbebf7627058b2e01.jpg

And here is how the youth is doing, they all are growing quite nicely, Dervishi has been scoring quite a bit for a youngster, Zeli is not far being our first choice keeper and Lluca is a monster.

If their European places are static in fm (like Gibraltar's last season) he will not have any extra place and i think they are static....Sorry mate i think you will have only 2 places in Europe witch is very bad, actually is the reason i start my save in Gibraltar last year in Spring(they fix it in February if i remember wright)...

Not bothered that much really adds to the challenge if anything :D I'm not expecting to win a european competition in this save anyway, the main goal is to develop kosovo's NT and try reach knock-out stages of EL/CL, if the intakes like this keep flowing in I can't see why we can't do that :)

YOUTH INTAKE 2020

20171211231950_1.thumb.jpg.c04d08790c9ec378c9364e4aedf5cc69.jpg

I've been waiting for so long for you to come regen day :D I'm so pumped for this, let's see if we got anything decent in this one

20171211232004_1.thumb.jpg.69bf2f71932eef7884c5538ecb02aff7.jpg

Oh boy we might just have found an absolute monster

20171211232001_1.thumb.jpg.ee3c6e051397cf97cc88f55892864138.jpg

Meet Gentian Mezini (YP3A). First off he starts off with 4,5* CA (!) which is the current ability of Albano Lluca (YP1B) and we all know how good that Kosovar is. 16 first touch and 16 passing for a 16 year old?! In Kosovo?! We aren't in Brazil what is this :applause: 15 technique, 14 decisions, decent determination, good personality is quick for a 16yo, is agile and has good balance, aside from the fact he's a lazy bastard, what's there not to love about him?

20171211231914_1.thumb.jpg.3cf2fcb26956d1e957d4ba35434dea81.jpg

He supports the club and likes me :D Now you stay here forever Mezini :D

20171211232007_1.thumb.jpg.dad6620a0c67c302e4dbcd17f33dad92.jpg

Samuel Gjonaj (YP3B) isn't too bad, starts off with some decent attributes for a 15 year old, with some game time he will surely develop very quickly, at least that's what I'm hoping for! He's tall as well which is good to see (yeah I know I sound like a typical woman :D)

Overall what a ****ing intake.

2019/20 SEASON REVIEW

20171213073325_1.thumb.jpg.b81391c65fe210975d2788be77cc6cfa.jpg

So season 3 is over, just like in 2 previous years we've done very well. We lost twice in the league season which is a bit dissapointing as I was hoping we could finish the season unbeaten, but it wasn't to be unfortunately. Also we won the Kosovar Cup this season for the 3rd time in a row beating Trepca '89 4-1 in the final :)

20171213073259_1.thumb.jpg.ecf937b18521042db493b91169cb3329.jpg

We won the league fot the 3rd time in a row, finishing 14 points above second placed Vellaznimi, who were the main surprise this season, they finished 2nd as a newly promoted side! We were scoring lots of goals this season scoring 85 times in 33 games, which is simply insane, our defence wasn't too shabby either, as we conceded only 27 times. 80 points mean that we did improve on last season by 1 point, but we still didn't reach the highs of first year where we got 82 points.

20171213073152_1.thumb.jpg.43f9fc1373c1b909ed0f58e6400264b5.jpg 20171213073203_1.thumb.jpg.f1016e9320849fa7395f9ebd759e2513.jpg 20171213073335_1.thumb.jpg.94b84639b7ade10753f603e1f3047381.jpg

Khalid managed to finish as the best player this year and this is very deserved, for the first time someone outscored Januzi by scoring 42 goals and getting a 7,72 average rating, he's a very important for us and because he's only 23 years old he will hopefully be a player for us for years to come.

20171213073206_1.thumb.jpg.e9d7d5cff63ff7415a76842907d2067c.jpg 20171213073209_1.thumb.jpg.4de0ec29ea67d241fcaf548bfede1522.jpg 20171213073216_1.thumb.jpg.b3e12d2504945426adcf207017856cc8.jpg 20171213073226_1.thumb.jpg.0dccc36e1a7427132ae27f5fa2e87816.jpg 20171213073230_1.thumb.jpg.200637bc9c7c477443e7ee76b0eff926.jpg 20171213073236_1.thumb.jpg.c6d1e9b31fcae1ceea5ec0be35d4587a.jpg 20171213073245_1.thumb.jpg.8181430938e4a76747636f82edba831c.jpg 20171213155220_1.thumb.jpg.54ca5f4282cce40496db8bec6f5f8b48.jpg

And here is a look at our youth stars.  Dervishi has improved to 2,5* CA, I really like him he has scored 10 goals and got 10 assists in Kosovar Cup and Kosovar Superleague combined, these are some very impressive numbers for a 16 year old, he also has grwon a bit in qucikness and his technicals stats which is great to see :) Halabaku has also gone up to 2,5* CA and is almost ready to play as a CM naturally, aside from his passing all his mental and technical stats are pretty decent and there is still a long way before he reaches his full potential! Lluca is an absolute beast 18 year old, great technicals, mentals and physicals and he's tall as well, what more could you want, he's also Kosovo's starting CB now making 5 apps already for the national team! Gerxhailu is a very handy player, already 2,5* CA, can play on either side of the pitch, he's getting better and better in his technicals, with 15 tackling being the main stat, he also grew 4 (!) cm, guess who's taking growth hormones  Krasniqui isn't really that good to be honest, he did go up to 1,5* CA, but we surely could do with a better left back he only has 4* PA which is the lowest of all the youngsters. Zefi is our starting keeper already at the age of just 18 and it's not hard to see why, he's solid everywhere in his goalkeeping stats, has 3* CA already, he's growing a lot and he's a tall keeper as well, a really great player for us now, just think how good he will be in a few years time! Gjonaj hasn't really changed this season, which is not really surprising considering he didn't play a single game for us this season, still he isn't bad for a 15 year old and he will surely get better next year. Mezini hasn't changed either, but let's be honest he doesn't need to  He already made his debut in the national team at just 16 (!) and is the first player to have the 'promising' tag, my word what a beast!

So for the first time we started our European campaign from the 1st qualifying round rather than the pre-eleminary rounds and we got ourselves a very good draw in armenian champions Alashkert last time we played them we won by a large amount and this time it was no different 9-0 over the two legs and that's with us playing our back-ups, easy. We got a very tough draw in the second round however, we faced Swiss side Basel, who I'm sure all of you are aware how good they are, I thought for 100% we were going out, but we managed the unthinkable, in the 1st leg we were 1-0 down when we scored TWO INJURY TIME goals to win 2-1! We hammered them in Kosovo 4-1, they were bloody hopeless, we dominated them throught the 90 minutes and they never looked like going through, onto the 3rd round! We had an easier task here: Slovakian champions Trnava. Of course we didn't take them lightly in the 1st leg, I think the result 4-0 speaks for itself :D We put out the backups in Slovakia and they did a fine job earning a 1-1 draw, to be fair to Trnava they looked good in the second leg and gave us a much tougher task than in the 1st leg but it was already too late. In the last round we had Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg, the toughest encounter in this CL campaign so far, we got very lucky in Austria, they could have easily smacked us 5-0, but they failed to take any of their chances, a true rarity in FM for the AI to be so wasteful and we got the 1-0 win :) It was a much tighter game in Kosovo, as usual, but we did come away with a 2-0 win, and we are in the GROUP STAGE for the first time!!!

Look at all that money :D Shame we can't spend any of it on transfers :D

20171213172450_1.thumb.jpg.30bbfeb22874e2a574ec9110dcf894d9.jpg

It also had an effect on our reputation with is going up to 2* reputation! :)

And that will help out with the intakes ;)

And as a 'reward' we got this group... Can't see us getting any points here, as long as we don't concede 30+ goals it's all fine

First part of season 4 review

20171226122917_1.thumb.jpg.db09c02372578dda7b001e7da6ff61eb.jpg

So far so good in the Kosovar Superleague, 15 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss in 18 games is not too bad, altough I am very dissapointed with that 1 defeat. Still can't complain too much. :)

20171226122925_1.thumb.jpg.2c63b0cfd58a2b44240cf2d8ffb45727.jpg

As usual we have been very good in front of goal scoring 45 times in 18 games, while conceding only 11 times. Thanks to our great form we are now 11 points clear of second placed Feronikeli and surely we are heading towards another league title.

We didn't do as well in the Champions League though  But we still did OK concidering how far ahead of us are Milan, Barcelona and Spurs and we only conceded 23 goals and scored twice (!) :D Suprisingly Spurs finished 1st, ahead of Barca for once they didn't bottle something

And this is how are youth 'stars' are growing, Lluca and Mezini are just incredible and we might have two future incredible players on our hands :) Gerxhailu has improved to 3* CA and his potential went up to 5*, Gjonaj has improved slightly from 1* CA to 1,5* CA, Krasniqi hasn't gone up in terms of CA, but his PA went up to 4,5* which is great to see, Dervishi has gone up to 2,5* CA and is starting to play pretty well, which is very impressive considering he had two serious injuries at the start of the season, Zefi has finally become first choice for us and is starting to get game time in Kosovar NT, shout-out to Andi Laci, who I didn't feel like deserved a tag, but he has improved to a solid 2,5* CA and always looks decent whenever he plays.

20171226123109_1.thumb.jpg.1abc6993099df89559ee50977aa0c195.jpg 20171226123119_1.thumb.jpg.888931c2c6fe762a3043d32459b600ef.jpg

Laci is an amazing ball-winning midfielder which is very important for my tactics, his technicals are alright and just look at that pace for a MC, jeez :D Lluca went reverse Michael Jackson for some reason

And here are the stats of our team, as I said we are in great form and the average ratings reflect just that. Januzi has been fantastic as usual scoring 23 times and getting a 7,56 average rating :)

YOUTH INTAKE 2021

20171226182404_1.thumb.jpg.18c883ccf6f9c1ff754847bac879609c.jpg

This is a pretty deep intake, I like it! Let's take a closer look at the tagged players:

20171226182409_1.thumb.jpg.bec48bf32112cff52cbf536073ad84e3.jpg

Dudzic (YP4A) is the first foreign player to come through the youth intake! Physically he's pretty good, especially for a 15 year old, with agility and natural fitness being the main stand-outs. He has a good personality with decent determination to go along with it, but his goalkeeping attributes, bar reflexes leave a lot of work for him to do, still for a youngster who just came through he's good :) Will be interesting to see his fight with Zefi for the number one shirt in the future.

20171226182413_1.thumb.jpg.4001826ed01b4433afa3ad2324743558.jpg

Gashi (YP4B) is just what this team needed, a solid DM. He has fantastic workrate and team-work, with great bravery and determination. His pace is ok, but he needs to work on his strength and stamina before he can be a key part of our team. His defensive attributes are meh, he needs to work on those as well.

20171226182422_1.thumb.jpg.1701a25b74f65218c262ea31aa515ce9.jpg

Lika (YP4C) looks like a handy full-back to have, pacey, brave, with fantastic tackling, while the rest of his attributes are ok. Will be interesting to see how he develops in the upcoming years.

20171226182426_1.thumb.jpg.867f8f5ddf684089ede9ccf7712ec334.jpg

Berisha (YP4D) comes in with an awful personality, thankfully his determination isn't bad. He is pretty short for a CB, so might try and retrain him to a full-back or a DM, we'll see. His technicals aren't too bad to begin with, so there's some promise in him.
