Can someone please explain save file and all the different auto rolling saves?

You can save to anywhere you like on any of your drives just like a word document or spreadsheet.

As long as you know the path you know where your save is located.

If you select auto rolling saves FM will store backup copies in the same file at whatever interval you select.

For example if you select five rolling saves at weekly intervals FM will save the game once each game week, the latest save will be called whatever you chose to call your save and it will change the name of the last save to V2.

So you will end up with five copies of the save over five game weeks called:

Save (Say 30.11.17 in game)

Save (v02) (This one will be 23.11.17 in game)

Save (v03) (16.11.17 in game)

Save (v04) (09.11.17 in game)

Save (v05) (02.11.17 in game)

 

There is also a tick box in the preferences when if ticked any manual saves you do will be added into the above system.
