2023/24 Season Review

a46d6f281186e699ee82e05c0f93cced.png

Our most successful and dominant year yet. I think this is due to me actually picking the team myself rather than letting my assistant do it. It certainly kept my fringe players happy as they got more game time. Besides our main keeper, who played 54 games, everyone played less than 40 this year and it kept everyone a lot more injury free too, and it didn't adversely affect our performance on the field. I'm excited to see how Mladost go in the CL next year too. for the second year running we lost to the Europa League champions, with Galatasaray beating Porto.

Key Players

de89682e8f2f16dfd948e388413126c3.png

Filip makes his first appearance on this list on the back of an amazing season with goals and assists galore and also getting the highest average rating for us. He's been rewarded with a spot in the national squad for the end of season friendlies as well.

What a debut season from Nenad. I had him tutored to improve his determination, and it worked wonders. He scored 33 goals this season, and became the youngest ever player and scorer for the Montenegro national team. he still has 1.5* of development left as well. He's going to be fantastic!

65081860e22eed6cc45f2a2e92465a49.png

Business as usual for Subert. He now has 130 assists for us in 5.5 seasons, and he's not leaving any time soon. He also set the record for most assists in the Champions League.

Other News

Petrovac: beat Olimpia Ljubljana (SVN) 2-0 before losing 5-0 to Leicester (ENG) in the EL 3rd QR.

Mornar Bar: lost 3-2 to Debrecen (HUN) in the EL 1st QR.

Sutjeska: beat Derry City (IRL) 4-2, Debrecen (HUN) 3-2, and Panathinaikos (GRE) 2-1, before losing 4-0 to Genk (BLG) in the EL 4th QR. They did remarkably well and don't even get a chance to repeat that next year.

This will probably be the last bit of progress for a while as there's a big gap between 13th and 12th placed Belgium.

Loving the save, great progression of the club and league ranking.
What tactic are you using for scoring that much ?!

I don't think is only the tactic..If your team gain very good tactical familiarity and you have right player in right place you can smash everyone especialy in summer european quilifiers(CL or El)..After 6-7 years in my save in Gibraltar for fm17 i smashed everyone in CL quilifiers...:D

This.

I think it helps that I've tailored the formation to my teams strengths as well.

It seems like, regardless of the team you face, everything become more difficult in this last step

I'm sure next year will be the will be the lucky one.

Thanks guys, it almost seems like a mental hurdle, they see the finish line but decide to stop running. Surely we aren't far away though.

We topped a European group for the first time ever! Flogged by AZ away, but apart from that flawless, only conceding one goal. Definitely making our presence felt in these competitions as a team that's here to stay.

There are no easy teams at this stage of the competition, but it would've been nice to have a slightly less difficult task than Leverkusen, who are ranked 12 spots above us.

Absolutely gutting. We only needed one goal to win it, and we almost got one despite only 3 shots. Then when they scored in the 89th it was all over, and I was devastated. Against a team like this I would have preferred to get smashed.

2025 Youth Intake Day

5fdb8f39bc3625e20d947d7dcc958d5d.png

Another decent intake, with 3 over 4* PA, and in positions we need.

5ba124c1e85a8080fd3352d94f9f8ef5.png

Looks alright, will need tutoring though. Nice pace despite being six two.

He looks like the real star from this intake, and he has very favourable attributes for CM as well.

A lot to like here also, handy backup.

Pretty much par for the course at this point. I don't think anyone is going to challenge us for a while.

Highest Average Rating, Top Scorer, Most Assists

Solid contributions again from him.

Not the worst group we could've gotten, but I assume we will be fighting it out with Celtic for the Europa League spot.

Now before you get excited, that was our U19 team in their version of the Champions League, this is how we actually did:

Turns out we may not be ready for Champions League football just yet, although Celtic are among the tougher 4th seed teams we could've drawn. There's always next year though.

Look at the positives, your u19's went through a tough group, future is bright ;)

I'm loving your positivity, but I'm not sure if we do well because we have a full team and others have grey players or there really is a lot of potential there.

2025/26 Season Review

0b9045c56dc396220d1caccdc9b2177f.png

10 in a row, but this time we were undefeated the whole season! Only conceded a goal every 3 games too which is great.

Key Players

91dc5e00b9fef9bd02df2d79d0fa7610.png

Another solid season from our 3rd best prospect from the 1st ever intake, and he will be here for a while I think, no one is challenging him.

dd0023b8665fbeb2b8a7c9c1c22e94fc.png

Nenad loves a goal.

12a6a2a52d1a83e02a58c7f7e1f785a4.png

Subert spent a lot of time injured this year, but still managed to assist plenty. All 3 of these players are in the Montenegro World Cup squad, and I think there are 10 or 11 overall in the squad.

Other News

Our U19 team made the last 4 of the UEFA Youth League, defeating Barcelona and Dynamo Kyiv before losing on penalties to Benfica. Not counting the Benfica pens loss, they lost only 1 other match to Atletico Madrid.

Mladost: lost 8-1 to Anderlecht (BLG) in the CL BP 2nd QR, before losing 3-1 to Maccabi Tel Aviv (ISR) in the EL 3rd QR. Followed that up by getting relegated.

Petrovac: got a horror draw in the EL 3rd QR, losing 6-1 to Lazio (ITA).

Mornar Bar: lost 5-0 to Chernomorets (BUL) in the EL 2nd QR.

Grbalj: lost 6-1 to Sturm Graz (AUT) in the EL 2nd QR.

We got 30 odd million for Champions League revenue, so we will never be in debt again! (hopefully)

I figured before the World Cup starts, I'll post the players from Buducnost who are in the national squad, just to give you a bit more of a look at our less prominent but just as important squad members.

670f626222d5c32b25eef46925656593.png

Our first choice keeper for the last couple seasons and had 29 clean sheets this year in the league. Yet to make his debut for the senior team and I don't think I'll play him this tournament either.

b0815792e01c2558153f743af82049d1.png

Solid player, has been with us right from the start.

bb4156101e24e6efe9b0705d79c257c5.png

I've waited so long to showcase this guy, he's been amazing for us over the last 7/8 seasons. He's our most capped player and will be key in Monetenegro's defence from right back.

5f3628bf54417b8d12e7360d9f47acd5.png

Our starting CB for club and country he has developed really well and has become another key player at the back.

c75979bfc4fbe0f765e2a6b0709da1ce.png

Another great looking player overlooked by my season reviews, he will be right next to Martinovic in the middle.

017655041f1b22e372af6a326fb2b2d2.png

Completing our all Buducnost back line is Nadj, who missed the cut to make the youth intake post but has played a far bigger role than those rated above him. Only made his national debut this season and has looked right at home.

efa44cb08166c3a1993ac9fdec936be0.png

Another BP original, will mostly be used as a backup.

1027297845bcb961aeb095d1dbe779da.png

I've already said my piece on these three. Amazing.

1fc014235be928a6844da78ae7b7334c.png

Another staple up front for BP, knows how to score for Montenegro too.

After a comfortable win over Algeria and hard fought draw with Japan we went head to head with world number 1 Brazil. We took the lead within 5 minutes and were up 2-1 with 15 to go. But then Brazil turned it on and scored 4 in 13 minutes to bury us. Had we done enough to qualify though?

Luck was most definitely on our side as we managed to get out of this ridiculously difficult group, Man Utd and PSG are ranked 2nd and 4th in Europe respectively, so we were no match for them, but two draws against Sevilla and 3 goals at Old Trafford were enough to see us through in 3rd and into the Europa League knockout stages.

Not the easiest team we could've drawn, but not the hardest either.

2027 Youth Intake

14c36cf7af8c8b1496c2db23efae5dd2.png

Better than last year, couple 4*s there. Also got a player from our feeder in Hungary who sends them to our academy. We also have feeders in Romania, Bulgaria and Croatia under the same conditions. Unfortunately for this Hungarian he won't play for me, but at least there's a bit of diversity in the intake.

a2446915cab1ffc6c36cabbf5268ded3.png

He looks pretty decent, nice starting attributes.

Same with him, though he will need tutoring.

Incredible progress thus far - congrats on your World Cup success!

Have you given any thought to offloading players who aren't good enough for your team to other domestic teams to create a more competitive league?

Thanks mate!

I have actually been selling players to other clubs in our league, but only if offers are made for them and if we don't need them. I don't think it's making the league more competitive for us but I think for the minor positions it is.

I had the same issue with my Far Oer save.

If you want to keep up your league ranking, you have to put money in your league: select 2/3 teams that are capable to go on in EL, and buy their worst youngster at a very very big price (1M each). They will have a lot of money and maybe they will compete.
