Fm keep crashing after lastest update and turning laptop off

Hello all,

My dad been play fm 18 for a while and in the past few days he goes to play fm18 and it starts loading up and then crashes and turns his laptop off as well, and i was wolderning if anyone had a fix or has the sam problem because i don't understand the game and my dad isn't the best pc expert. He loves the fm games and really wants to play for he brough him self a gaming laptop just so he could play fm18 and now he having issues. Hope someone can help

I had the same issue. I eventually figured out that FM + Youtube together caused my PC to overheat. Solved it by getting a cooling pad. No crashes since *knock on wood*.

okay thx but my dad just brought the laptop so it can't be overheating can it?

he was able to play the game before the lastest update pefectly fine, its since the new update came out its caused him no end of issues

Mine doesn't overheat normally either. It's a very specific combination of FM + YouTube that causes this. The problem only appeared after the 18.1.1 update.

Have you tried running the tests as suggested in the FAQ link above?
