Okay McAfee has been known to sometimes cause issues with FM and Steam, so as a test to see if that's the problem we'd suggest following the instructions below the black text in the FAQ entry listed below:

Let us know how you get on. Thanks.

How many leagues are you running with what sized database? If within your save you go to 'FM' -> 'Add/Remove Leagues', how many players are loaded?

Let us know, thanks.

Because you have 44 managers running in the game, it's putting incredible demands on the memory of the system causing it to crash.

I would suggest starting a new game with a lot less user managers running and you won't see this issue.

We'll take a closer look at the save when everyone is back in the office during normal work hours, but certainly for the meantime that's what we can recommend.

It's something we'll look to address in our next update, but for the time-being we'd suggest not playing with this many 'hotseat' managers.

Thanks.

Is it producing a crash dump in 18.2.0? If so, can you please attach the crash dump file here so we can take a look?

Thanks.

The crash you're encountering is one we're aware of related to having multiple managers in a save. We're looking into it and hope to address it as soon as we can.

Apologies you've encountered it in your save and when we have any further info we'll let you know.

Thanks.

Okay, what we've done now is put the potential fix onto a beta version of the game, so we suggest moving over to this version and trying the game to see if your issue is fixed.

We would recommend you copy your save prior to conducting this test so you have a backup before following the steps below.

Open Steam
Go to 'Football Manager 2018' within your Steam Library
Right-Click on the game and select 'Properties'
Select the 'Beta' tab
Via the 'Select the beta you would like to opt into' dropdown, select 'public beta'
Click 'Close'

Upon launching the game, the improvements should be active, so please play as normal and see whether your game runs without issue.

Once you've moved across to this version (which will state 18.2.1), please do try it and let us know how you get on. Thanks.
