You would be looking for a fast mobile fwd, Rashford works well. Usually these players can play both fwd and aml/r positions.

Thanks. So based on how the team actually plays, you'd be looking for:

- complete wing backs for the inverted wing backs roles;

- attacking mezzalas for the central midfield roles;

-  inside forward types for the STCR/L positions; and,

- complete forward for the poacher role.

Does that sound right to you?

I usually use a defensive type midfielder and an attacking midfielder.

Fast striker as poacher, I would not limit to a specific role.

It is a combination of fast Striker and aml/r

Virtually every position needs pace.

Looking just at roles is too limiting as to the type of players that can play a position.

Not always but mostly as an illustration. I don't test in the way of controlling variables, it is trying to make an idea work to a reasonable degree.

Only changed a few wee things to the original tactic on page 1, I have a 4-3-3 asymmetric RW, the midfield is MEZ - DLP - AP and the results have been tremendous so far, I've not always liked too many team shoutouts but I can now see they are necessary, just thumped Celtic 7-4 playing with Hibs.

Hi guys

Havent played FM since January, does this tactic still work after recent patches??

Which version works best in current patch?

Id loved to continue on my career save, ideally with same formation as the squad is built around 433!

Thanks for any help

Score a large amount, but the defensive side of this is diabolical.

I'm using Utd and time and time again the center backs are just aimlessly wandering around in the box and not picking up anyone. It's pretty much free header after free header for any attacking player.

Billericay with a National quality squad taking down Newcastle in Premier League, away at Newcastle using attacking mentality. You can use most mentalities Control Standard Counter and Contain with no other adjustments as the TC changes the TIs for you but the most effective mentality is Attacking. Many prefer to use MIDSOMER 442 P103  on Counter or you can use Counter for away game or difficult games.

Billericay are now in League 2, and not the best team as finding better players are more difficult at this level, but still top the League.

Which tactic did you use for the Billericay?
So in summary I can use the same tactic, possibly changing mentality based on the opposing team ... right?
Another question since I saw that the form is almost always 3-4-3 which tactic would be right to have together over 3-4-3?

I am using the top tactic ARGUS 343 P102. I use Dafuge Challenge rules but it is important to improve the squad even if just free transfers.

Testing is done without a change of mentality but I often close games out on contain or a SUS tactic. When changing mentality the automatic roles , when used, will also change. However, I only use these on WBs and going defensive with WBs is a good idea when closing out a game.

I do not change mentality based on opposing team but others find this effective or you can change tactic without changing mentality eg PILGRIMAGE 343 Home ARGUS 343 away. These tactics use different shapes so ARGUS is slightly more defensive.

The most effective formation this year is 343 followed by 442, but I find in LL the AI often use 433 343 352, so 3  at back tactics are in general a useful defensive formation

Player question -With my Billericay save I do not have a Club trained player so reduced to 6 proper subs. I have 2 players that should be club trained next year so I don't want to sell, and they are key for my squad.

The question is why are they getting offers from Clubs in higher leagues when they are only League 2 potential?
