nimmospurs
ive been playing around with my 4-2-3-1 trying to get my players to press to a similar way to pochettino how would I set this up also is it ok to play a ball winning midfielder with a box to box midfielder with 2 inside forwards on support and an attacking midfielder on attack
Cap'nRad
I think the midfield could be a bit less aggressive, maybe cm(d) instead of bwm as the holder. The attack looks good though. Spurs don't utilize any traps that i know of, so it's just a matter of closing down more aggressively as you get higher up the pitch, all the while making sure the center is still secure. nimmospurs
what about a standard mentality I want to make sure I don't make any stupid mistakes and make sure I remain defensively solid to
mbabbs
I like to be quite flexible with mentality. I train the tactic with Standard mentality, but I change it depending on the state of the game. I agree with Cap'n'Rad - In 4-2-3-1 a BWM will leave your other midfield player exposed.
nimmospurs
what about a box to box and a deep lying midfielder
Armistice
Yeah it does if your DLP is on defend duty but do you need an extra body in the opponent's half like a B2B you wanna use?
