Goosewinkle
So in my save Gateshead in vanarama national has 10 (!) loan players (mostly from Newcastle and Birmingham). They pretty much spank everyone they play now... I didn't even realize that was allowed (I thought there was a limit, but now I can't find one). Does this seem right? Buckley0002
These are the current rules in fm17 for vanarama national regarding loans
Mrlee.1986
I'm fairly certain as well that you're only allowed a maximum of 5 loan players in a match day squad.
Goosewinkle
Then I am confused...why do my loan rules say this: Nothing about a limit on number of players. Just a limit on number of players from the same club...
cris182
What year are you in? Have the rules maybe changed?

Goosewinkle
Gateshead have moved from 13th to 6th now with their ten Championship players. I know one thing--I feel like a sucker for having only 3 loans. I won't repeat this mistake next season. I'm surprised though...nobody knows what I'm talking about? cris182
Are they using more than 5 in match day squads? If yes then it is a bug Unless of course you are using an edited DB then it could be that
Goosewinkle
Yep they typically use about 8 each game. And no, I'm using the default database. Will check the bugs forum...
Mrlee.1986
Taken from the non league rules website.. Rule 6.4.8 A Club may name up to a maximum of five (5) players on a Team Sheet who are either Short Term Loan, Long Term, Youth Loan or Work Experience (source) https://thenationalleague.org.uk/uploads/docs/Rules.pdf
Spurs08
The rule seems to be working correctly in the National League North/South but isn't listed for the National in the editor. 99% sure this is a bug so going to report it as such. I've created an editor file to fix this in a new save which I can upload if anyone's interested
