Playoffs won't schedule as my team only played 81 games

I had an issue in game where I viewed another match on the same day that my team was scheduled to play. After viewing the match it acted as if the day was done and would not allow me to run my match Vs the Washington Capitals. The bug re-occurred any time I tried to view a match that didn't involve Ottawa on the same day that Ottawa was scheduled to play. after the game ended, I could no longer attempt to run the Ottawa game and instead had to move on to the next day to do anything. this caused me to end the season at 81 games which is why I assume the playoffs won't start. Is there an easy way to fix this or would I have to move on to the next season at this point?
