That is it for this round. Just a reminder that those who have to pick a player have 24 hours to do so.

Congratulations to Romania who have qualified for the 2018 World Cup.

There is still 3 nations still in the running to qualify but only 2 can possibly qualify.

Switzerland v Spain

Sweden v Czech Republic (vossmaj v abdulius)

These two games are played over two legs so will feature in the next two rounds. (The rest of the nations will be playing friendly matches)

San Marino eh. I'll take any wins I can get! Norway will take Filippo Berardi. The only player with some worth, and playing for Torino should mean he is the best of the bunch.

Romania will pick the young prospect Stevan Jovetic :D

And now read we are going to the World Cup! Please a lucky draw so can improve the squad a bit more. And I know still some time before then actual games, but considering we cant probably switch during the actual world cup are we gonna have all the picks after it is finished?

yes like all tournaments I will holiday through the whole tournament and then post results in sections.

I am thinking for the World Cup you are allowed to choose two players that you can't lose to the AI (if they get the lowest rating) but you can still lose them to another users nation

Is there a rule that players can change Nationality only once?

Colombia turned into quite the beast already. WC favourites I would say...

No rule exists you can choose anyone :)

Thinking instead of choosing 2 players to protect just for the World Cup perhaps everyone can choose 2 players to protect for the whole year? You can change the players at the end of every year.

The last round of 2017 will be posted in the next hour or so

Wooohoo! :D

Sweden welcomes Jonny Evans from the Czech Republic.

Congrats @vossmaj well deserved. Still don't understand why we keep better players on the bench. The manager has to go! :)

Shame we missed the WC as right now I am expecting a downhill route...

All participants may choose TWO players to protect from an AI nation during the 2018 rounds. (This includes World Cup) So if you lose or draw and your protected player has the lowest rating they won’t be lost the player with the next worse rating will be lost.
So to start Switzerland protect David De Gea and Ricardo Rodriguez….

The next round will be the World Cup Group Stages I don't know when I will post (may even be later tonight) and how many results I will post (might just be the first game for each nation or a full summary of one group)
