[Suggestion] Dynamic Rule Changes & Other Thoughts

Dynamic Rule Changes

Been kinda mulling this since the whole Brexit inclusion was announced. Likely not an original suggestion but didn't find anything on a search. FM includes any announced and confirmed rule changes - whether its transfer rules, player registrations, sub usage, etc. But those changes are only usually announced a couple years out at most, so the in-game changes seem to peter out a couple of seasons in. So in that way, the game world becomes very static after a couple of seasons.

The introduction of Brexit and its possibilities created an interesting potential dynamic for managers in affected nations - approaches could have to shift. I've noticed the same thing in Motorsports Manager with its dynamic rule changes - it can make different saves with the same team still be rather different.

My thought would be to have a pool of potential rule changes, for different areas of the game and in different categories. Maybe even have FA tendencies - things like protectionist, protectionist toward big clubs, targeting international image growth, etc. These tendencies would help dictate which direction an FA was likely to evolve the rules. Or if they are an FA that is simply unlikely to make changes.

Some examples - through the 2000s, Russia seemed pretty open with its rules to encourage growth. After the country was awarded the 2018 World Cup, the Russian League became much more closed in its foreign player rules. After the World Cup, that could potentially change again. In Mexico, Liga MX is apparently starting to target international growth. That could lead to some rules changes to find ways to appeal to fans around the world.

This is something some players will not like or want, so having it as an option that can be turned off might be ideal.

Media Interaction Variety

Seen a few suggestions on this. The current media interactions get very repetitive very quickly. Its not just getting asked pretty much the same thing again and again, but having to choose between the same answers every time. I know you can choose to send your assistant. You can choose to write in your answers. But the entire media mechanism would be a more fun and dynamic aspect of the game with a bit more depth, IMO.

There should be some recognition of repetition. So if you get asked the exact same question about the exact same topic in two conferences, you should have answer options that harken back to your previous answer.

I would also love to see more playful and non-football questions and answers available. Real managers get asked about all kinds of things, including some rather ridiculous and non-footballing questions. So maybe you get asked about how you settling in (if you have just arrived in the country for the job) or how you like the local food. You could asked what you think about a club's new stadium, or legendary stadium, or the trophy room at the opposing club. You could be able to give tongue in cheek answers about how good the chips are at the stadium, or the price of a pint, or the club's social media warriors...

Any such questions need variety, though, or they would get just as onerous to keep answering as the current ones.

Regen Appearances Evolution

Totally cosmetic idea, but then, regen face-gen really is just cosmetic in the first place. Given that they debut as teenagers, it would be nice if their appearance evolved. I mean, obviously people's faces change a bit as they age and you can look at "young" vs "10-15 years later" pic comparisons of any famous footballer to see. A natural physical evolution would be nice but might be difficult. But what about the more superficial aspects of appearance? How likely is it that someone carries the same haircut and facial hair thru their entire career?

so would be cool to see regens adjust their haircut and facial hair every so often in a save.
