Warg92 Posted January 6, 2017 Share Posted January 6, 2017 So, after my last save with Ta´Xbiex disappeared when my computer crashed, I had to start a new long term save. This time I'll try to take Kautokeino IL to the top of the norwegian league (and the world?), only using youth products. I will try to do four to five updates each season. Kautokeino IL play in the 5th tier of Norwegian football, in the 4. Divisjon avd 24 (4. Division, group 24). I chose Kautokeino as they are the one of the most northern clubs in Norway, and one of the worst in this group. I actually used to play at this level myself when I played football. Anyway, here is the club and the manager. Say hello to Warg Zala. Some random dude that showed up one day and wanted to be the new manager of Kautokeino. And to everyones surprise that's what he became. (As always my manager is from two "weird" nations) I felt kinda sad when I saw how long the manager before me had been in charge. Warg92 Posted January 6, 2017 Author Share Posted January 6, 2017 Pre Season 2016. Bossekop is the only team in this group that is Semi-pro. So they should have no problem in the league. For some reason this is the only teams we could play this pre season. I think we did pretty good against Tromsø 2 and Alta 2, as they play a couple of leagues above us. The squad this season. Warg92 Posted January 6, 2017 Author Share Posted January 6, 2017 End of the 2016 Season. A good second half of the season got ruined by the 0-3 and the 2-6 losses... Look at that... The same person scoring all their goals... So, as I said before the season, Bossekop did not have any problems at all in this league. We finished 5th, and that's three places above the expectations, so thats pretty good. Let's hope we get a couple good players in when the youth intake happens. Logje really stood out this season, scoring 16 goals and 9 assists in 22 games! The best eleven so far! Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
Warg92 Posted January 6, 2017 Author Share Posted January 6, 2017 As I said in the opening post, Kautokeino is one of the most northern cities in Norway. And therefore they are part of the Laplands. In Lapland, the Sami People live. And they actually have their own national football team (not recognised by FIFA). They compete in a "World cup" of states, minorities, stateless peoples and regions that FIFA don't recognise. More info HERE. Four of the players from Kautokeino IL, play for the Sápmi national team in real life (not on FM of course). Two of them is in the game, Per Isak Vars and Frank Ole Vars. I just want some good players this year, does not matter what position. A bunch of 5* pot players, let's just hope they live up to that. The three best. After we won 1-0 against Hammerfest in the third last game we secured promotion! Our top scorer from last year, Johan Anders Logje, did not score a SINGLE goal this year... This league is MUCH harder than the one we have been a part of the last couple of years. Just as the two last years, the pre season games are "meh" at best. The Squad. Key Players. Warg92 Posted January 7, 2017 Author Share Posted January 7, 2017 Mid Season 2018 We really struggled at the start of the season. But suddenly, everything clicked, and we started to play very good! We're still in the relegation battle though, so we really have to continue this form, or else it's goodbye... We also participated in the Norwegian Cup this year, for the first time. We lost against Odd in the 4th round. 0-2 is not a bad result, as Odd play in the top league. We played two second teams for the first two games. That's a problem, because there should be no second teams in the Cup... It does not really matter, but it is possible that a second team can win the cup, and then qualify for the euro cup... We were totally **** in defense this season. We conceded the most goals in the league, and that really has to change... No one really stood out this season. And two of the players that I thought would really help us this season played really bad when they got the chance. And when I say two of the players, I mean Lars Gaute Wulff and Finn Slettli... Can't really say it's good to lose two of the three games against our U19 team... That being said, most of our first team players played in the U19 side, for some reason... The Squad Key players. Still have to be better if we don't want stay in this division for a long time. One thing we really need is to score more goals. 9 goals in 27 games is not good. We only have one, and he is slowly becoming one of the worst players in the starting eleven. A GK with high CA would also be nice! I'm very happy with this intake, as I got what I asked for! No one with a good personality though, and almost everyone has low determination. This guy will take the CM spot. I'll retrain this guy to be a Left Midfielder. That is the main problem with the second teams, sometimes they have a really good team and sometimes they use the worst of the worst they have. Really depends on hoe the first teams play their games. We're not scoring many goals, but we're also very good at defending this season. Mo is the next game after this update, so we'll see how that goes. We have to beat them to have a chance to promote. I notice you're playing the same weird wide 4-1-3-2 formation as in Malta, I'm a bit surprised that works that well but clearly it does for you! I really did not want to start again in Malta, so I had to chose another country. A short drop in form and we're in the red zone though, so we have to keep it up. For the first time in many year we're actually still in the cup when I do the mid season update. We're facing Odd, a premier league side the next round, so I'm guessing thats where we are going out. And another upgrade to the Junior Coaching budget will help us! Close games all season, and that shows in the league as well. Very close between some teams! Again, our defense is really bad, conceding second most goals in the league. But, then again, we scored secong most goals as well! We just have to tighten up at the back, and we'll come close to the top. Close to just players from the youth squad now. As long as Molde's first team hasn't deteriorated exceptionally the past seasons, the Molde 2 team should be allowed to gain promotion from 3rd division to 2nd division. Or is the custom DB you're using not "up to it" for all rules and regulations? I see that your 3rd division consisted of teams from all over Norway, not so much geographically distributed as they are IRL (but that's probably quite hard to program). And of course, the irregularities of the early cup rounds are quite "off" (a third division team from Finnmark playing teams from Sunnmøre, Buskerud and Akershus in the first round can happen, but not as often as seen here).
