Thanks RSJ.

Thanks theFOOTBALLlover. I shall upload the tactic to the Steam workshop as well. I let the assistant do the match, team and individual training. I do not bother with player preferred moves. I do not use opposition instructions. The set piece instructions are left default. When I go down a man I take off the Advanced Forward and put the Deep Lying Forward on an attack duty. The player instructions for the CB, FB and IF are the same for both sides. To get the tactic just search 8 promotions in 9 seasons on the FM 16 workshop and click subscribe.

Was the world record for the longest fm save (in terms of real world game time) a one off? Or will it be updated if beaten? I might have a go at trying to beat it.

It will be updated if beaten. However, they may require a certain amount of conditions to be met. This might include the amount of days allowed to go on vacation and the database used. I would contact Guiness World records first to give you the requirements for this record. I think you can do this on their website under the current record.

It will be a loooong way to go. It's over 150 seasons. And you might consider backing up your save after each season, just to make sure you don't lose your save because of corruption or whatever other reason.

Good luck! :)

Due to a terrible start to the season I have decided to change to simpler tactic. It is still a 442 but it has no player or team instructions. I have changed the set pieces though. I first started using this tactic in the Fiveways game in one of the cups.  Since the change i have only conceded five goals in eight games. Which is a lot better than conceding nineteen goals in seven games. With a game in hand and nine games left can is rise from seventh to take the final promotion place?
