LPQR
I might have ventured a bit too far with my (distant) future management plans, but I can't lie..... there is a story forging in the back of my head that I couldn't refuse to dignify it at least with staying up an entire night, researching, reading, designing a logo - and putting together the jigsaw that will one day live up to be the story of yet another newly created club
yipster1986
What a winger you got there mate! Yes, Firenze! Lovely town, I'm going there next May. I have a love for Italian towns, it just appeals to me. Especially Venice, been there 5 times in as many years. I'm thinking about doing a youth only save with them at some point. Need to work out a way to exploit him as much as possible in my tactics Firenze is the kind of town you only need to be in once to fall in love with. LPQR
March 2031 - Rubix Cube This season I've decided to try something new. As for quite a long time now I've been focused on developing systems that rely on defensive concepts, I've decided to flip it around to the opposite extreme. I would now be looking to play a brand of aggressive, attacking, fast-paced football with a specific focus on creating and exploiting space, twisting and turning opposition players in a Rubix-cube manner, until a player finds a way through the change wasn't however based on my caprice. the reasoning behind it was more to do with the quality of players I have in the squad and which positions are the strongest. Here we have a number of issues: - Voican and Plopeanu have emerged into top quality fullbacks for our level and they are more than capable of covering both defense and width - the number of talented players for the striker and AMC position that we have got through previous intakes is quite big, and I want to accommodate their transition to the first team - Turcu is our best attacking player and it would be a shame not to exploit his ability - we have very good coverage for centre-mid positions, with a large number of players of different profiles - Bodea and his specific stat distribution make him uniquely suited for the BWM role and he is one of our most promising talents Apart from squad and player management issues, the main idea behind the asymmetric formation is to have a slight imbalance in the way we attack space, as well as having 5 men attack the final third as the CWB and the BBM advance forward to join the attacks. This is the final version of the main set-up, although I have experimented with a few slight variations which have produced the results shown in the first screen of this page and I will probably go into a more detailed post about the way the system plays in the tactics section of the forum once I get some time. For now though, this is what our results look like so far: League CL Group CL First Knock-out Round First Leg 'played a bit narrower and with a more disciplined approach for this match' Second Leg 'same approach as the first leg and moved the BWM to the DM spot' and of course... this incredible run which saw us keep 15 clean sheets, concede 7 goals and score 55 goals in a total of 21 matches I guess we're off to the Quarters again this time, the Italian Giants of AC Milan are there to provide a very tough test

LPQR
June 2031 - Champions League Final Heartbreak.... It's amazing to have come this far and we dignified our run with a really good performance in the final but it's always painful to lose so close to the pinnacle of European glory.... Still, what can you do when the opposition have players like these: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- now compare these to our best 4: as the above screenshot says...we should just be proud of making it here....the last time a Romanian team made it to the final of the CL was waaay back in '89 when Steaua lost to a rampant Milan side...at this point in the game that counts as 42 years Nevermind the fact we did it with a team full of academy players

oriole01
Excellent progress, so unfortunate to see you fall at the last hurdle. It's hard to see that this save may be coming to a close soon, but it seems that you're just about at the pinnacle of club football. I think the only thing left for you to do is go back and win it all (and maybe claim the UEFA Super Cup). If Sparta were indeed a real club, I think just about everyone would support them, me included. Good luck with the end of this adventure and the start of your next! Our achievements are amazing considering our stature but I still think it would be a mistake to expect we are now regular CL contenders, so it could still take a while to get there.... The increase in risk and directness increases the number of misplaced passes and mistakes, both which affect ratings enormously, as I've found. You can lose 2-0 and get a player to have a 7+ rating just because he completed idk how many passes...

LPQR
June 2031 - Season Review 15 years at Sparta Bucharest As the season draws to a close, Florin Avram and the club reach a new milestone. 15 years of youth, discipline and athleticism, 15 years of trophies, defying odds and reaching some of the sweetest as well as some of the most painful moments there are in football. So far this has been a unique journey that saw us lift a newly founded club from the bottom of the second Romanian League to domestic dominance as well as the very top of European Football by reaching the semi-final and final of the Champions League in two consecutive years. Romania has never been a consistent producer of world-class talent, and we weren't lucky enough to get any Hagis or Petrescus through our youth ranks, yet we managed to achieve success through a formula that entails three things in particular: 1) squad unity, home grown talent and and a defined DNA and playing style, 2) a clear club strategy with good infrastructure to support it, 3) tactical flexibility and and adaptability. The recipe helped us build a squad with distinctive characteristics which favor a specific playing style based on fitness, aggression, work-rate and decision making. Trophy Cabinet a return of 20 trophies in 15 years of the club's existence is a motive for pride and prestige Season Performance Awards Squad Players Goalkeepers Alecsandru Buștei (career) Andrei Marta (career) Ștefan Tudor (career) Defenders Costin Plopeanu (career) Milaș Ioniță II (career) Bogdan Andone (career) Romeo Voican (career) Alin Condurache (career) Constantin Ivan (career) Cristian Dumitrescu (career) Cornel Marin (career) Alexandru Negruț (career) Adrian Țapu (career) Midfielders Alexandru Bodea (career) Angelo Boiangiu (career) Tiberiu Poșircă (career) Cătălin Turcu (career) Ciprian Kereszy (career) Ionuț Ciurea (career) Alexandru Grigoraș (career) Marian Blaga (career) Tiberiu Vlădilă (career) Strikers Antonio Dumitriu (career) Florin Stuparu (career) Ion Preoteasa (career) Youth Intake a decent intake, marked by the recruitment of a fantastic and much needed talent at centre back - Alin Condurache. He is in fact, already so good that Ive decided to fast-track him to the first team to aid his development further. Another couple of decent prospect at AMR and DM and that's pretty much it. A. LPQR
Exploiting 'the Mohawk' as you'll recall me saying before, there's one particular player in our squad that is a level above everyone else...a natural winger, with a good eye for goal, I've made it a personal 'tactical' challenge to get the best out of Catalin Turcu. The new tactical system allows Turcu to be much higher up the pitch in attacking situations due to the DF dropping deep and the SS running on almost parallel diagonals with him. This way, he is involved a lot more in finishing off moves, and the wide runs he makes also help him chip in a fair amount of crosses. Having perfected the new style of football over the last couple of years, this what his stats look like as the season draws to a close: in fact, his performances in 2031 were so good that he deservedly won the European Golden Boy award:
