Makoto Nakamura
February 2020 A great start to the season sees us top the table early on, 1 point ahead of Nacional. We probably could have done better against El Tanque Sisley but we are in the midst of an injury crisis: 8 of those are first team players. And I finally brought someone into the club, and he's on low wages!

Makoto Nakamura
March 2020 Can you tell where our players started coming back from injury? Yup, against Boston River. We were lucky to pick up a point away to Libertad but Corinthians and River are gonna be stupidly tough.
Makoto Nakamura
April 2020 I said that both Corinthians and River would be tough, we did the unthinkable and managed to beat River at home, but Corinthians destroyed us at home and River destroyed us away and domestic results directly after the continental losses have been poor as well losing at home to Fenix and drawing at home to Villa Espanola isn't great, especially as we're now 5 points behind Nacional. Makoto Nakamura
Atlético Clube Goianiense, usually known as Atlético Goianiense or just as Atlético, is a Brazilian football team from the city of Goiânia, Goiás state. Atlético Goianiense is the oldest Goiânia city football club. The club is the first team of its state to win a national competition, which was the Série C. Atlético Goianiense made a comeback to Brazil's top level Série A in 2010 after a 23-year absence. On April 2, 1937, Nicanor Gordo and Joaquim Veiga founded the club, starting football in the newly founded city of Goiânia. Nicanor Gordo and Joaquim Veiga left the newly founded club in 1938, and joined Goiânia EC, which was another new club. In 1944, the club competed in the first Campeonato Goiano, which was also the first official football championship in the state, and was contested between five clubs from Goiânia. The other teams were Goiânia, Vila Nova, Goiás and Campinas. Atlético Goianiense won the competition, being its first title. In 1957, the club won the state championship without losing a match, also winning the Torneio dos Invictos, played in the same year. In 1971, the team won the Torneio da Integração Nacional, beating Ponte Preta in the final. In 1990, after defeating América Mineiro in the penalty shootout, Atlético Goianiense won the Campeonato Brasileiro Série C. In 2003, Atlético Goianiense finished in the state championship's last place, and was relegated to the following year's second division. In 2005, the club won the Goiás State Championship Second Division, being promoted to the following year's First Division. In 2006, the club finished in second place in the Goiás State Championship First Level, and they won the league in 2010 and in 2011.The club competed in the Copa Sudamericana in 2012. Finally a club willing to take a chance on me! I've gone from £325 p/w to £1,400 p/w and from a 700 seater stadium to a 50,000 seater one so that's definitely a step up! It may seem like a step down going from Uruguay's top tier to a club that's just been promoted to Brazil's 2nd tier but it's actually a step up in terms of reputation. Key Players: Here's the squad I've inherited, we need more strength in depth and a couple of ML's and a striker or 2, but we do have some promising younger players in the reserve and youth teams. Top Reserves: Top Under 20's:
Makoto Nakamura
May 2020 It all started so well A massive away win to Tombense but then an almost equally massive loss away to Santos has started a very poor run of form, despite this we're outside the relegation zone and both the board and media expect us to finish around here come the end of the season. Makoto Nakamura
June 2020 2 Good wins but overall a pretty dire month and even at this early stage we've conceded the most goals in the league and I'm already just hoping that I can make it to the end of the season! Makoto Nakamura
August 2020 This is unbelievable! Makoto Nakamura
October 2020 This is either going to be Brazil's story of the season or the perfect heartbreak...A win over AMG puts us in the promotion places for the first time, there are now 4 games left, we face 9th and 6th away from home and face 3rd and 15th at home, that's a very, very tough 4 games. Makoto Nakamura
End of Season 2020 6 points from 4 games...was it enough? It was incredibly close between 2nd and 7th but we've amazingly finished up in 2nd and get promoted to the highest reputation league in South America! Darius1998
On 10/23/2016 at 20:53, Makoto Nakamura said: Thanks Oriole The answer to the first question is that I honestly don't have a clue why they weren't relegated, the clubs that have the 3 worst average points over 2 years are supposed to be relegated but I don't have a clue what this means: And to answer the 2nd question, that fixture is the winner of the Opening Stage vs the winner of the Closing Stage, but then there's the actual Champions Playoff after that, so it still doesn't make much sense. Having spent a season in Uruguay's top flight, I think I can answer this. The 3 relegated clubs are shaded wrong. I think at the end of the season, you will find that Wanderers, Liverpool and Rampla Juniors will be relegated on average points over 3 years. For the second question, the first playoff is between the winners of the Apertura and the Clausura. The winner of this tie (Defensor) advances to face the team that topped the overall points table for the season (Oriental). This one is the Champions Playoff and is played over two legs. I hope some of it makes sense.

Makoto Nakamura
January 2021 Pre-Season? What Pre-Season. In Brazil we go straight into our State Championship, the Campeonato Goiano and I'm using this time to bleed in new signings and even though we're down in 3rd we're looking very strong indeed! A lot of signings and it's a shame we can only field 5 foreigners as there are a lot of good young Bolivian players who are joining us, here are the majority of our signings: Felipe Augusto - Maranhao - Fabio - Diego Zabala - Wandrew - Nicolas Penailillo - Anderson Lopes - Oliver Linale - Rolando Vera - Santiago Naguel - Fernando Rea - Pedro Taramasco Other than competition prize money we have a lot more money coming in this season And of course the expectations. Makoto Nakamura
February 2021 These games may be useless but I do love the state championships, it really does allow our strike-force to fill their boots Another 3 players join us: Nicolas - Pablo Rengifo - Michael
Makoto Nakamura
March 2021 A great month but our complacency cost us away to 3rd tier side BOA FC in the Brazilian Cup, hopefully we can focus in the home leg and try and rescue the tie... Makoto Nakamura
April 2021 We thrashed Boa in the home leg to see us face Serie B side Ceara in the 2nd Round, we've now only got the home leg of the Campeonato Goiano Final left to play before we hit the big time of the Brazilian Serie A. With 4 going down the priority will be to finish at least 16th.
Makoto Nakamura
May 2021 A great start to life in the Brasileirao! Gutted to have lost against Santos but they're favourites for the title. We're also through to the 3rd Round of the cup against 4th tier side ADM also known as Aguia de Maraba so that should be a piece of cake. I know it's a bit soon to think about new jobs but there are a few clubs that I'd be looking to manage; Chivas in Mexico due to only being allowed to sign Mexicans (I would do youth only) and any club with really good facilities in Brazil, Argentina or Colombia due to the league system and to do youth only with one of those clubs. Makoto Nakamura
June 2021 Just the one loss away to Palmeiras has seen us solidify our 4th place and a Copa Libertadores spot (although that's anywhere from 1st-8th) and I have just 6 months left on my contract, will I be offered a new one? Will I accept a new one? Or will I look for pastures new?
Makoto Nakamura
July 2021 Just the 4 points dropped all month as we have a game in hand and could even rise to 2nd! Makoto Nakamura
August 2021 Ouch. We finally come back to earth with a massive bang. Letting in 6 against Vitoria is diabolical but I can be impressed with the victories over Corinthians and Atletico Paraense as well as the fightback to get a point against high flyers Santos. Also, the Chivas job became available and I've applied, they've gotten an interim manager for the time being but fingers crossed I get an interview. Makoto Nakamura
September 2021 10 games left in the league and we're still in 4th, Junior Vicosa is our saviour with another 7 goals this month, it's just a shame he's on the wrong side of 30. Makoto Nakamura
End of Season 2021 Ah. Well that ended terribly, our best every league season and we win 1 of the last 5 and end up with the 2nd worst defence in the league conceding just one goal less then bottom club Londrina EC. Junior Vicosa - Diego Zabala - Pablo Rengifo - Gabriel Lacerda Well I was finally offered a new contract, but I was only offered a transfer budget of £207,000 and a wage budget of £132,000p/w where we're currently spending £115,000 I've decided to resign. Makoto Nakamura
Racing Club, also known simply as Racing, is an Argentine professional sports club based in Avellaneda, a city of Greater Buenos Aires. Founded in 1903, Racing has been historically considered one of the "big five" clubs of Argentine football. Racing currently plays in the Primera División, the top division of the Argentine league system. Racing has won the Primera División 17 times (with a record of seven consecutive championships between 1913 and 1919), apart from winning 12 National cups such as five Copa Ibarguren, four Copa de Honor Municipalidad de Buenos Aires and one Copa Beccar Varela. Due to those achievements the team was nicknamed "La Academia" ("The Academy of Football") which still identifies the club and its supporters. On the international stage, the club has won 6 titles, 3 of them recognised by FIFA and CONMEBOL including one Copa Libertadores, one Intercontinental Cup and the first edition of the Supercopa Sudamericana, therefore being the second Argentine team to become South American champion, and the first to become club world champion. In addition, Racing also won two Copa Aldao and one Copa de Honor Cousenier, both tournaments organized by AFA and AUF together. The first team plays its home games in the Estadio Presidente Juan Domingo Perón, nicknamed El Cilindro de Avellaneda (in English: "The Cylinder of Avellaneda"). Apart from football, other sports practised at Racing are artistic gymnastics, basketball, boxing, field hockey, handball, martial arts, roller skating, tennis and volleyball. Gonzalo Cordoba - Exequiel Palacios - Maximilliano Cuadra And welcome everyone to a change in direction, from now on this save will continue to be a journeyman, but I will not be signing any players. Yep, from this point on it's a youth only challenge. I'm finally at a club with good facilities and a good history as well so why not, it's the reason I wanted the Chivas job and we'll see where this can take us! Makoto Nakamura
2022/23 Youth Candidates So in Argentina the youth intake happens in Pre-Season and to be honest, I am very, very impressed with the class of 2022!
Makoto Nakamura
2022/23 Pre-Season Just the 3 friendlies and I was disappointed that we lost against Argentinos Jrs. I'm happy that we got a bit of a morale boost with the 6-2 win against Ctral. Cordoba and it seems a bit weird that fixutres are played at 9am! We're predicted 6th, I'm hoping we can get top 6 and I want to finish no lower than 9th. The previous manager signed Miguel for when his contract expired at River Plate de Montevideo so he will be the last signing for a long time.
Makoto Nakamura
September 2022 End of month odds; 33-1 - 9th Draws galore to start the season, the best result was definitely grinding out a 0-0 at home to Boca, their only dropped points so far, with us being in 9th our media odds have changed, going from 30-1 to 33-1 and form 6th to 9th so at least the dynamics are working now as well. Makoto Nakamura
October 2022 End of month odds; 36-1 - 9th A very tough month but we ended out coming out of it very well and up in 4th with a home win over 2nd placed River and an away win over 3rd place Huracan, Boca are going to run away with the league, they're 1 point clear with 3 games in hand! Makoto Nakamura
November 2022 End of month odds; 36-1 - 9th A terrible month, we're joint 5th but only 3 points away from 12th, Boca are still bossing the league being 9 points ahead of Huracan and 21 points ahead of us with 18 games still to play!
