[FM17] Having a bite to eat at the CONCACAFé and the food tastes like CONMEBOLlocks!

Hello everyone and welcome to my first of hopefully 2 FM17 saves, this career will be through the BETA and up until a certain league expansion comes out and is all working well so maybe a month or 2?

So what is this save going to be then? Well it's a journey in the Americas, it's as simple as that :D I may get sacked umpteen amount of times and I may win some silverware but who knows, we'll just have to go with the flow.

I will be starting with the lowest reputation and no badges with every league in North and South America loaded to the lowest division (or only division in the case of Peru and USA). As well as loading all players based in North, South and Central America and the Caribbean.

I'm starting in Brazil at the earliest date available which is late November. Let's learn!

woop woop, first FM17 career thread already, huh :D good luck in the Americas, it's really exciting to see that part of the FM world being explored!

Thanks LPQR :D The only downside is the Brazilian clubs all having 3 letter names, it may be a bit confusing managing there.

How long have you had that title ready for

Too long, maybe 5-6 weeks? I'm just sorting out moving over the graphics of FM16 as well as the things that can't be mentioned and then I can start properly :)

This was almost exactly what I was planning on!

Should be interesting to see how it pans out, especially if we both stick at it throughout the year.

As for the Brazilian names, there is a real names fix available elsewhere that might be worth looking at.

Great minds think alike! Although this won't be my main save of FM17 but this should be going up until around December depending on a couple of things, I'm not entirely sure the Brazilian name fix works mid-game but I'll try it when I see it.

As for jobs it's now January 2017 and I'm finally employed!

Club History:

The Oriental Football Club is a club of soccer Uruguayan based in the city of La Paz , in the department of Canelones . It was founded on June 24 as 1924 and currently participates in the Second Professional Division . His classic rival is the Juventud de las Piedras .

It was founded on 24 of June of 1924 in the city of La Paz , in order to form a football team to represent the city. The names proposed were: Libertador (obtained two votes), Colombes (two votes) and Oriental , which was chosen (thirteen votes). The color blue was chosen in tribute to the Uruguayan team that achieved by the time the Olympic title .

Oriental was a founder of the League of Canelones and also the Regional League South . In 1925 and 1929 he was champion becoming a recognized team throughout the department .

In the early 1970s , the celestial La Paz decide to take a very important step, as it was incorporated into the AUF being the first team inside the country (not montevideano ) to join the Association tournaments.

Within the Association, his greatest achievement was to participate in the Divisional "B" , where he had a great performance in 1980 under the technical direction of sr. Omar Brunetto, when finished fourth behindRampla Juniors , Racing and Liverpool with only three defeats. In addition, East was champion of the Divisional "C" in the years 2004 and 2007 ; without ascending because in those years was granted I not rise to theSecond Professional Division . Then he returned to be crowned in the season 2008 - 09 , this year itself was awarded the rise, but the club did not usufruct of it for not having support to meet the professional activity. That season the club had to play second, East remained without participating in any tournament.

He returned to activity in the 2010-11 season, where in the middle of it he received a penalty removes 12 points, because of the incidents that ended with the death of a fan of Villa Teresa , after the match between both clubs in the Oriental Park of La Paz.

After years of twists and turns of the hand of Adrian Fernandez Leal (DT) and Andres Furtado (AT), achieved the long-awaited promotion to the B (Second Professional Division) by winning the Apertura 2015 and Liguilla 2016, earning him the last date to Basañez by 3A0 in the stadium SPANISH CENTRAL (PARK PALERMO) with goals from Mauro Rodríguez and Gonzalo Da Luz on 2 occasions.

Okay, so we're newly promoted, we're predicted 14th out of 15, we have 13 players and no members of staff with the first league game in just 3 weeks!

This was something I also had in mind but was undecided due to the Brazilian Team names and the huge length of the season.

I had a great game with that club a few years ago as part of the small big club south American save. Good luck pal will be reading with interest.

The Brazilian names is a shame but I'll just have to make do with it for now, how did you get on with Oriental? Thanks for following. :)

I do OK got into the top division but found overthrowing the big boys a step to far. From your past saves I am sure you won't have that issue though

Well not much has changed with 10 days until my first league game so I think I may have a bit of an issue! It may be a very harsh baptism of fire.

End of month odds: 14th - 400-1

It has been a long ol' time since I've actually played a match and not used an IR button, things have not started brightly with Diego Suarez saving our bacon twice to give us 2 points from a possible 9 but thankfully we're doing alright compared to the others at our level, especially since until a couple of days to go until our first match we couldn't field a full team!

I made transfers! :D

Gaston Soustuyo - Junior Giordano - Pablo Mas - Agustin Carballo - Christian Armada - Marcos Otegui - Bruno Bouchard - Facundo Gomez - Andres Acuna

After all of these signings here is what our squad looks like.

As a lot of you know, the situation regarding the German national team in the game can't be discussed for legal reasons. The same applies to Brazilian team names so people need to be careful what they post about it.

A tough month as we faced both 1st and 2nd in the league, we managed to beat 2nd placed Atenas de San Carlos and got our 1st loss in 10 games away to 1st placed Racing de Montevideo, very happy with just conceding the one goal though as we were soaking up a lot of pressure for the entire match!

Strange to see an Algerian and a Cameroonian in the Uruguayan D2? Anybody knows this is ligit? Or are they BETA data issues?

Anyway, best of luck in Uruguay. I always enjoy these adventures away from Europe. Seems like there's no apertura/clausura in your division?

Both of them are regens and the Cammeroonian has been released and the Algerian refuses to be released, 2 sub appearances are not worth £350 p/w...

Thanks :) No apertura/clausura in our division but there is in the division above.

Here in Uruguay we are on a transition tournament so the next championship starts at the beginning of the year and it ends in december, thats why there is only "apertura", the next year there will be both "apertura" and "clausura"

This is the 2nd season since the games started at November 2015, the 1st season there was only 12 games so this season is supposed to be apertura and clausura but I'm guessing it's just showing it as one league.

Up into 3rd and just 2 points off of Cerro Largo although it certainly wouldn't have done us any favours by losing against them, it was a very tough month on paper with us facing 2nd, 6th and 9th away from home and 5th at home but we get 7 points from 12. Our odds have finally changed also, from 400-1 to 500-1 but we've gone from predicted 14th to predicted 12th.

July is also the start of the transfer window so in come 3 players.

I would be quite interested to see a player "striking a match official" in the 3D game engine (not the 12 match ban though) :D.

Will be following by the way, looking forward to seeing what you can do in the New World!

Some nice easy friendlies to give us some morale for the first game of the season, at home to the league favourites Penarol.

Bottom 3 teams (by average points over 2 years) go down.

I've tried to make some wholesale changes to stand a chance at surviving.

Diego Melian

Mathias Goyeni - Mario Pechi - Esteban Garcia - Yonatthan Rak - Adrian Diaz

Luciano Isola - Gonzalo Bazallo

Gonzalo Sena - Alvaro Torres

Sasha Aneff

And here are the first 18 going into the first league games (we have a couple of suspensions.)
