Have had this problem for a while now. Match panels, i e Home Ratings, Match stats etc keep "disappearing" during matches.

I.e. a player gets injured, or I switch to Overview to make an adjustment to the tactics and when I return to match view, a panel or two or more have "disappeared".

When I check the floating_*_changed.xml:s the panels have been placed outside(?) the screen.

An example:

    <record id="value">
        <rectangle id="MaxR" left="0.000000" top="-90.000000" right="-1.000000" bottom="-91.000000"/>
        <rectangle id="MinR" left="0.000000" top="-90.000000" right="-1.000000" bottom="-59.000000"/>
        <boolean id="wmin" value="false"/>
        <boolean id="mibu" value="false"/>
        <string id="alignment" value="left"/>
        <unsigned id="zpos" value="16"/>

This problem started a few months ago. My solution this far has been to quit the game and delete the panel setting to reset them. Which is starting to get pretty tiresome since it happens almost every match now.

I am playing FM in windowed mode.

Have you tried clearing your entire cache and preferences rather than just a single file?
