A very tough couple of cup games against Rangers resulting in 2 expected losses, what wasn't expected though was our dreadful performance against Falkirk and their is no excusing that...on the filpside we also ground out a win against Celtic thus ending their extraordinary unbeaten run!

That Stoke Job would have been decent, see if you can knock City off the top, assuming they won the league again.

Strong finish to the season, are you playing each game on this save?

It would have been a good step up and yup, they won it for the 10th year in a row and no I'm instant resulting games.

It's mad that such a high reputable league has been won 10 times in a row. I don't think I have ever seen that on any of my saves.

How long do you think you will be staying in Scotland for?

Honestly, not a clue but I haven't stayed in one country for more than 4 seasons yet haha.

European Football should help the finances and the transfer kitty which will enable you to challenge for the title soon ! Great Job

It should but I don't see us winning a game, we've been drawn against Olympique de Marseille.

A few interesting teams in that World Cup.

Very, strange to see Afghanistan but they've had some players come through the Germans youth system.

A very good Pre-Season with a shocking 1-0 win over Bayern Munich and a narrow loss against Juventus, it's a shame we performed so poorly in the home leg of the Marseille European tie that we deserved to go out, it did give us just over £200K in prize money though.

The media expect 8th but I want top 6 again.

Burnley Football Club  is a professional association football club based in Burnley, Lancashire. The team will play in the Premier League, the highest level of English football in the 2016–17 season after winning the England's second tier league in the 2015–16 season in the Football League Championship. Nicknamed The Clarets, due to the dominant colour of their home shirts, they were one of the founder members of the Football League in 1888.

Burnley have been Football League Champions twice, in 1920–21 and 1959–60, have won the FA Cup once, in 1914, and have won the Community Shield twice, in 1960 and 1973. The Clarets also reached the 1961 quarter-finals of the European Cup. They are one of only three teams to have won all top four professional divisions of English football, along with Wolverhampton Wanderers and Preston North End.

The club colours of claret and blue were adopted in 1910 in tribute to the dominant club of English football at the time, Aston Villa. Their home ground since 1883 has been Turf Moor and their current manager is Sean Dyche.

We have a lot of options up front but we're lacking in defence and I'm going to be thrown in at the deep end as our first game is in 4 days and we're at home to Chelsea.

Did very well with Hamilton, looks like the Premier League is looking a bit of a struggle though even if Burnley will have some of the worst resources in the division. You're still well within sight of safety so let's hope a couple of wins push you over the line.

:( I wish. We definitely had the least in terms of resources as we were spending £36.71m p/a on wages with Sheffield Wednesday being next lowest spending £42.44m. For us to be "out of the relegation zone" on wages we'd need to be spending £49m for 17th and £59m for 16th! Whilst Manchester City are spending £106m MORE than 2nd placed (in terms of wages) Arsenal by spending £254m compared to Arsenals £146m.

Crikey that's harsh.  Presumably its a different chairman as I couldn't imagine the current one doing that?  He didn't sack Dyche after all.

Yep, current chairman is Greek Gerasimos Dalmiras and he's been chairman since 2031, I was also the 4th manager since he took over. Before him Burnley had had 5 managers from 2015-2031.

LOSC Lille (Lille Olympique Sporting Club, French pronunciation: [lil ɔlɛ̃pik]; commonly referred to as Le LOSC, Lille OSC or simplyLille) is a French association football club based in Lille. The club was founded in 1944 as a result of a merger and currently play inLigue 1, the first division of French football. Lille has played its home matches since 2012 at Stade Pierre-Mauroy in nearby Villeneuve d'Ascq, which replaced the club's previous home of Stade Lille-Metropole in the same community. The team is managed by French football figure Frederic Antonetti and captained by French international Rio Mavuba.

Lille was founded as a result of a merger between Olympique Lillois and SC Fives. Both clubs were founding members of the French Division 1 and Lillois was the league's inaugural champions. Under the Lille emblem, the club has won three league titles in 1946,1954, and 2011 and six Coupe de France titles, which is tied for fourth-best among clubs. Lille and Red Star FC are the only French clubs in the competition's history to win the Coupe de France in three consecutive seasons. Lille's most successful period was the decade from 1946 to 1956 when the team was led by managers George Berry and André Cheuva.

Lille have a long-standing rivalry with its neighbours RC Lens. The two clubs regularly contest the Derby du Nord. Lille is presided over by Michel Seydoux, a French businessman and movie producer. Seydoux initially purchased shares of the club in January 2002 and, subsequently, gained majority control two years later.

Tyler Alderson - Career

Relatively safely lower mid-table Lille marks the first time I go back to a country for the 2nd time after my stint at Dijon and honestly, Tyler Alderson was the selling point on getting me here, he may only be here on loan and he's old as hell now but he is/was one of the best of his generation and that's why I've added his career, it also says something that he's 36 and a half and he's still our best striker!

Fallen on your feet massively it looks like. Unlucky with Burnley, hopefully you manage to get some silverware with Lille. Who are the more dominant teams in Ligue 1?

254m in wages explains why City are winning the league every year. Has anyone done an unbeaten season in the Prem?

Let's hope so W I L M! And there's a big 4 in France, PSG, Monaco, Marseille and Saint-Etienne

And nope, no-one has done an unbeaten season in the Premier League and Manchester City have lost this season now as well so that won't be changing.

That didn't go as great as I would have wanted but at least we picked up points from the teams around us and with 5 games left the league is still very close, we could finish in 17th or we could finish as high as 9th! ...We won't finish as high as 9th but it's still possible.

Happy with that pre-season, still working out the best formation to play but I feel like we've strengthened and hopefully we can do better than last seasons 11th.
