georginho_juventusygr
This is ugly.
Orzelek
3-0 Payet Nice attack by France and good finish by Payet Game over definitely now
Heartwork
And it's 3-0. Sadly think that's it for Iceland now. Would take a moment of absolute tactical mastery for Lagerback to turn this around in the second half. It's not entirely beyond someone of his capabilities but it is still one hell of a challenge and extraordinarily unlikely. EDIT no that's not happening. Dave Vessey
Might possibly be over now. Just maybe.
Orzelek
Oh goddamn, the entire half time punditry is now going to be about England, isn't it? From what I've read of comments in this forum- the pundits talk about England no matter what, don't they?
Redshift
This really shows how bad England were to lose to Iceland. No offence Iceland.
Ackter
Pretty ugly. Hope Portugal don't actually start playing.
georginho_juventusygr
Oh my. This is uglier.
daylight
Hopefully that's it. Iceland have been brilliant in this tournament and I would hate to see they getting hammered something like 7 or 8 nil.
Madchester
Not taking anything from France. Playing well but i think this says more about how bad England are than how good France are. England to get beat by Iceland is just \o/ i dunno. Poor.
Orzelek
Brilliant finsh by Griezmann I really ddon't hope that this will end 7-0 or so, as Iceland really doesn't deserve an exit like this

PaulHartman71
Fair play France, they've been on fire. That 4th goal was very special - lovely finish.
georginho_juventusygr
France will sit back and enjoy the second half. They will get one rest day fewer than Germany. So, they may as well rest now.
Heartwork
This really shows how bad England were to lose to Iceland. No offence Iceland. Iceland played their cards just right in the opening games. The problem for them is, France did their homework and got their tactics right to deal with the places where Iceland normally threaten other sides. They presented Iceland with a way of playing that they weren't ready for and simply couldn't cope with and now Lagerback has to work out a way to minimise the damage as much as possible so Iceland can still go home with a respectable result. Ohanzee
Quality difference showing, but have to applaud Deschamps for the way they've set up tactically as well. Not been wasting his time on boat trips for sure.
BoroPhil
if I said 'England could have done this if they hadn't conceded straight away' would everyone laugh?

pearcey_90
France to be first side to score 5 in a game this tournament? Just one off. France play like this against Germany it could be one of the all time classics. Fingers crossed.

Ackter
if I said 'England could have done this if they hadn't conceded straight away' would everyone laugh? England could have done this with a competent manager and a more balanced squad.
Heartwork
if I said 'England could have done this if they hadn't conceded straight away' would everyone laugh? England could have done this if they actually did their homework on the Iceland way of playing and prepared their tactical approach accordingly. Instead they had no plan whatsoever and thought the result would take care of itself.
Lermon
Iceland pfft, England would have no problems versus these opponents... Oh wait.
midgetram
Right, take Koscielny and Giroud off now? Think they're the only ones a booking away from missing the Semis.

pearcey_90
if I said 'England could have done this if they hadn't conceded straight away' would everyone laugh? Yep. Orzelek
This is how it's done England. Yeah, it's not that difficult if you have good players and a manager with tactical knowledge.
Baptista_8
Pougatch or whoever it is said that France have two left footed CB in Koscielny and Umtiti. Ermm....Koscielny is right footed. At least do your research before you splurt about such rubbish. I half-heard him going on about two left-footed CBs while I was in the kitchen and thought WTF are Mangala and Umtiti both playing? ReggaeBwoy
I half-heard him going on about two left-footed CBs while I was in the kitchen and thought WTF are Mangala and Umtiti both playing? Yep, just stupidness. Where do people get this knowledge from. Ever since Martial poor first half against Albania, he seems to have been punished by the manager. Looks like the other two subs coming on is Coman and maybe Mangala.

Guest
France will be well rested after this training match and have home advantage. Germany will be more tired and no hummels. Another contender for stating the obvious from Sid. The match will be close & France might have issues with history weighing heavily on them plus Germany are hardly going to be lacking in player or tactical options. Orzelek
That's it- I'm really happy that it didn't end with a total thrashing, as Iceland didn't deserve that after such a great tournament And I wonder how badly England would've got beaten today by the French?
