I've got no idea why we've gone up at all, let alone more places than any other league, but I'm not complaining.

We weren't seeded, but we beat Qarabag when we played them two years ago. I'm hopeful.

He looks pretty good, but hopefully he can develop some better technicals as he grows.

Not sure if he's a CB or a LB yet, but either way he's got some potential.

Our new chairman wants to replace me with our old coach who's currently managing Faetano - who he led to a very impressive 6th place out of 7 in Group B, with just 18 points in 20 games. Sure, he's a great choice

He's surprised that fans preferred a manager who'd lifted them from bottom to 11 straight title wins rather than an ex coach who's had one terrible season in management? Clearly not a football man. Still, we're still in the job, and we've got some money to work with. I think I'll bump up the training facilities again with it.

Season Review

Campionato Sammarinese:

Table

Schedule

We so nearly blew this. We were down to 10 in the final and couldn't break them down, but thankfully just about got the job done on penalties.

Coppa Titano:

Table

Schedule

Meh.

Squad

Key Players:

Highest Average Rating:

Daniel Sánchez (YP46) - 7.91

A new hairpack means he's dyed his hair pink, but it hasn't stopped him getting ratings that don't really reflect his ability.

Top Goalscorer:

Nicola Ceccoli (YP55) - 23

I'm a tough manager, because he's lost his starting place for next season even though he was our top scorer.

Manager's Player of the Year:

Manuel Cipriani (YP56)

Our DLF had a good year, and looks excellent stats-wise.

Aims for next season:

Retain the league.

Other teams:

League Winners: :D

Cup Winners: Tre Fiori beat Folgore 2-0 to win this for the second year running.

How the team in CL qualifying did: We lost to Steaua in the Third Round.

How the teams in Europa qualifying did: We lost to Marseille in the Playoff. Libertas lost 3-1 to Olimpija from Slovenia, Tre Fiori lost 8-0 to Jabonlec from Czech Republic and Murata lost 10-0 to Vardar from Macedonia.

San Marino National team:

2035 Results -- 2036 Results

Well, it's official. We're 209th in the world, and thus now the worst team in the world. The only way is up, right?

A good growth, and one that sees us finally become a 1* league! I'm absolutely thrilled with that. We've also gone over 100k in TV money for the first time, which should really help out the other teams. So far, Domagnano and La Florita (along with us) are Professional with everyone else Semi-Pro, so the money should be massive in terms of helping them pay their wages.

As good a result as 3-2 is, I'm so disappointed. We had so many golden chances, but just squandered too many of them. Andrea Podeschi needs some credit - Claudio Morri (YP40) did his hernia and the 16 year old Podeschi had to make his debut, and he did fantastically, saving an (undeserved) penalty to earn himself the MOTM (although he did drop a clanger for their third goal). We're still in with a shot of taking this tie, but I don't think we'll do it.

I'm thinking that these strong clubs are still strong enough like Celtic, AS Saint-Etienne, Steaua and Marsielle. What would be their results of these teams? Keep in mind that Celtic in 2034 & 2036 Champions League, Steaua and Marsielle in 2035 and AS Saint-Etienne in 2036 Europa League.

Youth Intake Day!

Thanks Jonas :)

Sherwin: I've always wondered, why do you want to know? Anyway, in 2034 Celtic got 2 points in their CL group.

In 2035 Steaua lost to Dinamo in the CL Playoff and came second in their Europa group with 10 points, but lost 7-0 to Atletico in the First Knockout Round. Marseille won their Europa group but shockingly were knocked out on away goals by Rapid Wien in the First Knockout Round.

This year Celtic lost on penalties to Steaua in the CL Playoff but won their Europa group. Saint Etienne also won their Europa group. Celtic beat Ludogorets 5-1 in the First Knockout Round, and Saint-Etienne beat Leicester 2-0. They actually played each other in the Second Knockout Round, and Celtic won 4-3. They then lost to Lyon 5-2 in the Quarter Final.

Season Review

Campionato Sammarinese:

Table

Schedule

Another year where we were poor in the playoffs but managed to get the job done. I'll take it, but our luck is going to run out soon.

Coppa Titano:

Table

Schedule

Yay.

Squad

Key Players:

Highest Average Rating:

Nicola Berardi (YP64) - 7.86

It's not our AP! Our new RM was able to overthrow him for this, and it's a day to remember.

Top Goalscorer:

Marco Podeschi (YP58) - 27

He's the second best player at the club, but he doesn't want to sign a new deal and might be leaving in two years.

Manager's Player of the Year:

Filippo Bianchi

He's the best player at the club, but he doesn't want to sign a new deal and might be leaving in a year.

Aims for next season:

Retain the league. I also think we'll be seeded in the Second Round, which means anything but making it through to the Third Round of CL Qualifying (and the Europa Playoff) is a massive letdown.

Other teams:

League Winners: :D

Cup Winners: :D

How the team in CL qualifying did: We lost to Celtic in the Third Round.

How the teams in Europa qualifying did: We lost to Saint-Etienne in the Playoff. Folgore lost 6-0 to Videoton from Hungary, Tre Fiori lost 4-0 to Domzale from Slovenia and Juvenes Dogana lost 7-0 to Dinamo Minsk from Belarus.

San Marino National team:

2036 Results -- 2037 Results

It says a lot about the state of San Marino football that those are two excellent draws.

We're off to Northern Ireland! After last night, by 2037 that probably means we're not going to Britain anymore, but that shouldn't change the fact that we should still beat them.

I believed that you are getting better than before. You have almost getting there in the Champions League again. But you have to keep going until you finally achieve it. Hope to see a better youth intake other getting gutted. What would be the finish for Sparta Prague and PSG?

We have a new 'best ever player on intake day'. Gasperoni is by far the best prospect we've ever had. 15 tackling! 6'4! His marking and heading aren't bad, and his mentals are pretty good. He only has one drawback, which is his personality. I hope we can find a suitable tutor to raise it, because he looks very special.

He looks like a decent backup keeper.

Have you tried to "improve youth recruitment"?

In your chart it says Limited since 20+ seasons - Better youth rec gives better players, right?

Getting prepared for a big change since that youth intake went to be more better. I like Mattia Gasperoni going to be in the NT soon. I also liked Baldini and Vagnini because these ratings are so cool.

You almost forgot on what happened to Sparta Prague in the Champions League and PSG in the Europa League?

He tried upgrading it in the previous save, didn't work. Presumably because of San Marino's incredibly tiny size & population levels.

Precisely that. We just haven't had the option to upgrade it yet. As soon as we do, we're going for it, because that's the most important thing there is to upgrade.

Right, well.

I lost in the Playoff final on penalties, but my laptop restarted and did updates without me. I'm glad I saved it after the intake, because that's where we are - back to March 1st. I'm going to keep playing the Playoffs until we lose them, so I may not update for a while.

Sherwin, I'll let you know how the teams in Europe did soon.

EDIT: Sparta Prague lost every game in their CL group, and PSV lost in the Europa League Second Knockout Round to Villareal 4-2.

Turns out, it's pretty hard to lose a game when you want to. It took about 15 tries, but we did end up losing the final 2-1 to Fiorentino. There's no point doing a season review because it's not actually how the season went, so I'll just sum things up:

We lost in the league final, so we'll be in the Europa League next year, but we did win the cup.

Filippo Bianchi signed a new contract, but Marco Podeschi (YP58) won't, so we'll likely lose him when his contract expires next season. He was our top scorer with 34 goals in 38 games, while Daniel Sánchez had an 8.10 average rating in 37 games to be our player of the year once more.

Other teams in Europe performed as usual - Murata lost 6-1 to Dinamo Minsk, Fiorentino lost 5-0 to Hapoel Beer-Sheva and Cosmos lost 6-0 to Dacia.

The National team lost every game but one - we beat Macedonia 1-0 in a World Cup Qualifier, which is actually really impressive. Marco Podeschi (YP58) scored the only goal.

Right, I think that's everything. Normal service will now resume :D

EDIT: Just realised that the problem meant we hadn't actually agreed to upgrade the training facilities, so that'll be done a year later. Oh well.

What a disappointment. He got worse, not better, and he only managed 145 games for the club before leaving because he was so far down the pecking order. I wanted to send him off to San Marino Calcio to help them get out of Serie D, but he still thinks he's great and wants way, way more in wages than he's worth. I doubt he'll even find another team.
