Trying to start a new online game

Hi guys,

I tried to start an online game so me and my lodger can play against each other and maybe have others join in too. The problem I have is that when I complete the 'online preferences' settings page and then save the game my lodger can't find it on his laptop.

Can anyone advise as to why he can't find it and join in ?

Hi Dave,

Not sure how experienced you are in hosting FM but try these 2.

Firstly make sure you have the box ticked to allow anyone to join your game on the online preference page, I've hosted for 4 years and still forget to do this at times. Make sure you have a password set so that any random can't join your game.

If you have already done this and your game doesn't appear on the list of game servers, has your lodger tried typing in the name in the box at the top of the page. We have this issue at times with the game not showing up on the list.
