[FM16] How to tell the game to get reserve/u20 team for competition? (basic rules)

I want to setup a reserve cup where I take the reserve teams from the teams in the highest leagues. The competition is added under the reserve competitions cup. I cannot switch to advanced rules as it would mess up a lot of other things. When I set up the cup, I tell the game "Get B teams/reserve teams from league" but when I start a new savegame, the regular first team plays the competition. What did I do wrong?

Okay, the editor seems to be very bugged this year. If I set it up as a "league then knockout" competition, I get the first teams although selecting "get B teams/reserve/teams". If I use custom it works but some clubs enter two teams, e.g. Bayern and Bayern U20s. Is there any way to prevent this?
