Peter10
Looks like there is no limit to call ups after the NHL trade deadline. In the NHL, teams have up to 4 regular call ups after the deadline has passed. Everything beyond that needs to be an "emergency call up" due to injury but in the game you can call up everyone you want since there is no roster limit. Probably not a big issue for most of the players but it just takes away quite a bit of realism and its tempting for abuse if you have a good farm team. IvanIvanovich
This is a remnant from earlier releases based on earlier CBA's. I guess it's one of the things deemed not important enough to delay this release for. It's not as bad as it seems though since if you were to call up all your AHL-studs then you'd run into cohesion problems and lose games because of it. Team cohesion plays a not unimportant part in the game. Too many roster changes in too short a time WILL make your team play noticeably worse. Asher413
On that regard- it also doesn't seem to handle the short term things you can do after a season is over: (After the college season, or juniors season players can be signed immediately). SI Staff Riz Remes Posted January 12, 2016 SI Staff Share Posted January 12, 2016 Yes, not all aspects of the real world rules are 100% modelled into the game. Partly this is due to gameplay balancing, partly because some rules can get quite complicated to model right and get the AI to work with them realistically as well.
