Crashes going into / during matches on El Capitan with NVIDIA graphics cards

Recommended Posts

IF YOU ARE HAVING AN ISSUE WITH THE GAME CRASHING GOING INTO, OR DURING A MATCH ON EL CAPITAN AND YOU HAVE AN NVIDIA CARD, PLEASE READ:-

There is a known issue on El Capitan with Macs using NVIDIA graphic cards suffering from crashes going into, or during a match. This is currently under investigation.

We have found that the crashes are caused by faulty NVIDIA drivers that are affecting other games as well.

Until Apple and NVIDIA can roll out a fix for the problem, we have the following workaround for any users suffering from this issue:

- Reduce the windowed mode resolution of the game

- Lower graphics setting (Medium or Lower, to Very Low if necessary)

- If the above two are still causing issues, then turn off 3D completely.

We appreciate that this issue is very frustrating, but we hope the above can help you enjoy playing the game in the meantime.

To keep an eye on a potential fix for the issue, please continue to update your Mac OS whenever a software update becomes available, as new drivers are issued through software updates on Mac.

For users unsure whether they have this issue, please post the following when you get a crash going into a match, or during - In your OWN thread:-

- A crash report of the issue (click 'Report' on the "Football Manager quit unexpectedly" message). If this is unable to go into a forum post, please use the pastebin website and send us a link.

- Open System Information on your Mac and post the following sections:-

- Hardware Overview

- Graphics/Displays

- Software Overview

Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
