Icondacarver
That style of football has caused us issues in the past. A 2-0 win is very welcome.
pago
It was his best performance in a while so obviously not. LvG was probably just waiting for him to have a good game to take him off to prove a point. I wouldn't have said he actually played well though. He was average which was an improvement but he should be the one unlocking a stubborn defence like west broms, especially in a number 10 role. And his pass to Mata was responsible for our best chance of the first half, which was a better one that the one we ended up scoring from.
isignedupfornorealreason
Watford, Leicester, West Ham and Stoke will probably upset the apple cart. Expect draws and/or defeats to them.I expect wins vs WBA, PSV, Norwich and Bournemouth though. Wolfsburg will probably be a draw. Ok I got the first prediction correct. >_> What do I win? Sid1984
the least ***** team will win the league again this year. There are no good teams in the PL. I just wished we could play half decent football just now and again, then we'd have a great chance for the title.
Gizzy
Won on possession thoughBless all those that used to make fun of Rodgers' results Wonder if VamPook will be posting after Liverpools win against Palace

ddidiodion
Klopp getting Pardiola'd. I'd say the league was there for the taking but unless Aguero gets a season long injury at some point he's going to come back and City will stop looking as toothless. Gizzy
I could defo see us being top of the league come the end of the year. If we stay there or not is another matter. Lets hope City get a long run in the CL
JJ72
Bit of a turn around in people's opinions after the last couple of results. Amazing what being close to top of the league does.
ddidiodion
Probably just a different set of people being vocal. I've said before we've never gone into a season with a weaker set of strikers than we currently have, I wasn't expecting lots of goals. That's probably tempered my expectations for the season. VamPook
Maybe we should get Moyes back to appease all these Attack! Attack! I'm sure ALL of your ex player legends are wrong
isignedupfornorealreason
Gizzy still got a boner for Moyes. I actually have a mate who just defends Moyes regardless. He even considers him better than SAF. >_>
ddidiodion
Yeah continuing being pleased with your dominating 55% possession and 1 shot on target games.I'm sure ALL of your ex player legends are wrong You think 55% is dominating? Bless.
Sid1984
I'd much rather have 40-50% possession than 60-70% possession. I don't like ugly anti football possession play. Possession is a more useless statistic than number of throw ins.
VamPook
You think 55% is dominating? Bless. LVG seems to think so. So bless you
Sid1984
Amount of possession and dominating game have nothing to do with teach other. Weather you dominate number of offsides, or number of possession or number of throw ins are all useless stats. Just because you have 70% possession, could still mean the opposition team dominating the match.
scott MUFC
can have 99.9% and still lose
ajw10
Klopp getting Pardiola'd. I'd say the league was there for the taking but unless Aguero gets a season long injury at some point he's going to come back and City will stop looking as toothless. I think you lack that bit of quality City and we have to mount a serious challenge. Another top attacker and I make you 2nd favourites.
Gizzy
Think if we had Sanchez, Hazard or Augero we win the league. The rest of our team is solid, just missing a top player at either left wing or striker.
ajw10
Ozil would be a better fit than Alexis. Alexis wouldn't fit in under LVG.
Icondacarver
Think if we had Sanchez, Hazard or Augero we win the league. The rest of our team is solid, just missing a top player at either left wing or striker. Memphis finding his head and Martial coming infield with Rooney on the bench would solve that but alas to many IFs for it to be a reality.
Gizzy
Ozil would be a better fit than Alexis. Alexis wouldn't fit in under LVG. We need speed and movement. Thats the only thing missing from our front line. People think that its a slow build up thats hindering us, its not, theres no movement for the creative players to find. And then when we put a player up top who does move, Martial, we put Rooney at 10 instead of Herrera, who cant find him. Memphis finding his head and Martial coming infield with Rooney on the bench would solve that but alas to many IFs for it to be a reality. I agree, but a more ready made player than Depay would fit better right now.
ajw10
We need speed and movement. Thats the only thing missing from our front line. Ozil has better movement than Alexis. Alexis is really quite poor at running into space. In fact the game against you was the only time he's done so all season
Gizzy
Ozil has better movement than Alexis. Alexis is really quite poor at running into space. In fact the game against you was the only time he's done so all season Happy for either really But yeah, we are only missing that one top player. Di Maria couldve been that player but didnt have the stomach for it
Sid1984
Well it's understandable that Ed would have paid £140m for Neymar as he is superior to any player in the Premier League. If we had him, it might have forced LVG to play proper football rather than the anti-football he so loves.
ddidiodion
LVG seems to think so. So bless you 55% Is a disaster you naive little thing. Domination is 65, 55 is barely control.
Sid1984
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34031804 Swansea v United this season. United 65% possession, United dominated possession but Swansea dominated the match. Many games of United under Van Gaal has this similar pattern. ddidiodion
Moyes circling the drain at Sociedad, figured he'd as least make it to Christmas. And there he goes, suspect Celtic might be next. Di Maria couldve been that player but didnt have the stomach for it Pretty much have to agree with all of the above. Too bad, too. But ADM isn't even having a good ride in Paris. Who knows what happened to him? Tho a player like Vidal would also do nicely. If we are picking just one player.

Gizzy
You have Mata, get the best out of him and you have the best player in the League. Mata is a very good player, but as I said before the lack of movement ahead of him hinders his game too.

JJ72
Still doesn't make him the best player in the league. The implication was Aguero is the best. I'd argue otherwise as his fitness problems let him down.
ddidiodion
The implication was Aguero is the best. I'd argue otherwise as his fitness problems let him down. Not really as fitness was only mentioned by me but never mind. Who is the best in the league? I know it's not Mata ffs, he's not even the best in our team.
