[FM15 Version 15.3.2] 4-3-3 Formation - A Controlled Flexible Approach

or perhaps juventus how will you do with them then who will you play up front

I would choose the following players if I was to start a Juventus save:

CGI1yPj.png

I would also purchase a new right back in the first season. (Matteo Darmian, Gino Peruzzi).

I would sign a deep lying playmaker to replace Pirlo. (Marco Verratti due to home grown status).

I would sign two strikers to replace Morata and Llorente. I would sign at least one striker in the first season.

what with training before the season start and when it started

I would firstly work on familiarising the team with tactic training and ensure that they become fluid in understanding the system as soon as possible.

I would also focus on fitness in preseason every preseason every year and once the players are fit I would change the focus to Attacking and Attacking Movement. Each player is also scheduled to learn the position they would be playing and therefore I would change their individual training appropriately.

I say many thank you again for the good advice: D what an attacker would you suggest

For the advanced forward position I would suggest the following strikers:

Domenico Berardi

Munir (can also play false nine)

Gabriel Barbosa

For the False Nine strikers I would suggest the following:

Carlos Fierro

Wellington Nem

Stephan El Sharaawry – But only if PSG has bought him and are selling him for peanuts.

I don’t remember the other striker’s attributes but you could also consider the following:

Timo Werner

Paulo Dybala – actually I would sign him due to real life

If you really want to break the bank, I would recommend Edinson Cavani.

My personal preferred strikers would be:

Domenico Berardi

Paulo Dybala

Carlos Fierro

After a few years you would find quality regens that would be capable of replacing them. But that’s only if you like developing young players in the game. It’s what I enjoy doing.

Your welcome :)

Very impressive results. :applause:

Taking those statistics into account, I don’t think I would be willing to sell Alvaro Morata. I know I said previously to sell him but if he performs as well as he has, I would keep him as a rotational player.

I love 4-3-3 and will try this tactic later today. If I have understood everything correctly, one of the midfielders should take the corners. Like Pirlo on your team but not the CM? The WBL and WBR should take the throw-ins?

That is correct. I prefer to not utilize the central midfielder (D) because he has a very important role in the team and that is to control the tempo of the game and prevent counter attacks. If the CM (D) takes the corner he would be out of position more often. Obviously you should take into account players corner attributes.

The wingbacks should be set to take throw-ins by default.

Thanx!

Training should be like this: General-Balanced-Average and Match Prep: Att movement? Allow rest after match. Always the same during the season? I do compete in 4 competitions with Ipswich. PL, LC,FA and EL. Very often a midweek game.

Focus on fitness in pre-season every pre-season and plays as many friendly games as possible in order to familiarise your team with the tactic as soon as possible.

Once the players are fit then change the focus to attacking and attacking movement. After two years change the focus to balanced and leave it for 3-6 months and then change it to attacking again.

Furthermore, your coach or assistant manager will recommend to change focus for different games. Sometimes he might say to focus on defensive positioning, listen to him and change it in your inbox messages. After the game the focus will remain on attacking movement. Just basically listen to what he has to say in your inbox.

Keep an eye on your players attributes and change according to what you think is best for their development. Especially, if they displays signs of a fall in attributes. Criticize their training level etc.

Thanx a million for your answer! My 3 best midfielders are Will Hughes, Dani Parejo and Teddy Bishop. Where would you have put them? Parejo is my CM, Hughes DLP and Bishop AP. Agree?

I cannot make a judgement without having a look at their statistics and attributes. Please post pictures of all three players so that I can advise you appropriately. (Teddy Bishop does not exist on my game).

I wlll try to make a link for each midfielder. It's been a while...

I just lost Teddy Bishop. A big shame. I gave him a new contract a while ago and thought i put a 50 mill clause in his contract. It was 50k...Arsenal offered 50k and he was lost. Worth £16 mill :(

Ramires is a player I will probably loan from Chelsea.

Could you also have a look at my strikers?

If your team is the underdog, do you change the mode from control to standard or counter or never change?

Have you made a player filter for your tactic?

A big thanx in advance!! :)

In my own opinion the team is very unbalanced and let me explain why. The central midfielder defend needs to have the following attributes: tackling, marking, first touch and passing. That’s what I look for anyways. I think you should buy another central midfielder who has very good attributes in what I mentioned above as well as good mental attributes and physical attributes.

I really like the look of Dani Parejo and I think you should consider playing him as an advanced playmaker or deep lying playmaker. I would not play him as a central midfielder (D) purely because of his poor marking attribute.

Ramires has very poor passing and therefore may not be as effective in this tactic. I would avoid him if I was you. However, if I had no other choice I would play him as a central midfielder (D) and he would be a backup player.

Will Hughes and Kristoffer Ajer are fine as a deep lying playmaker or advanced playmaker.

I would prioritise finding a new central midfielder (D).

Markus Henriksen could do a decent job as a rotational player coming off the bench to play the advanced playmaker role. I like his long shots.

I would buy at least one left foot striker to play as the right false nine striker. I would look to sell Lucas Pratto before his value falls. I would also start planning to sell Theo Walcott as soon as he turns 29. Apart from that they all look fine.

I would never change my mentality and would persist with control. Obviously, if you lose too many games then you need to change your tactic or perhaps need to find better players that suit the system.

Great answer!

Walcott is on loan from Arsenal but I have a clause to buy him when the season is over for £5 mill. I will probably do so. Pratto I got cheap a year ago. I will search for a midfielder with the attributes that you mentioned. Firstly I have to loan a player in january then hopefully I will get a decent transferkit in the summer and can start strengthen my team. I just beat Man.Utd 1-0 and Stoke 6-0 with your tactic but also lost 5-0 away to Chelsea. Chelsea were superb in that game. Especially Lacazette with a hattrick.

We are close to a CL spot speaking of january 2018 and are still in the EL and in june we have a new stadium, Bobby Robson Park. Hopefully the transfer budget will be around £30 mill or so next season.

My Ipswich team seems to like the changes I made because of the advice you gave me. Parejo is great as DLP. He is scoring some great goals from a long distance. Ramires has started great as CM after he came on loan from Chelsea. Will Hughes and Marcus Henriksen are great as AP. Otherwise Wickham is scoring for fun as the AF. Three goals against Liverpool in the FA cup when we beat them 5-1. It was 2-1 when WE had one player sent-off! Walcott is great as F9. Jovic varies a bit. Fanastic one match. Average the next. But he is young and I believe he can become a world class striker.

The tactic seems to work great both home and away. Really refreshing to see a tactic that works so nicely away from home.

I'm curious about how you train your players. Do you let your AM take care of it or do it yourself? I have a great AM from Brazil. Very nice stats. 19 in motivation I like. Now and then I let him take care of the team talks and he always takes care of the interviews in the tunnell.

In order to get the best out of the players available at your football club it is important to train every player in the position that they would be playing in your chosen system.

For example: every goalkeeper at my club from the senior team down to the youth team are trained to learn the sweeper keeper role. The reason being is that I am using the 4-3-3 formation. However, if I was using a different tactic which consists of a different role like goalkeeper (D) then I would change every goalkeeper (at the club) individual training appropriately.

There are other methods I like to use to develop different players. Some players require a different method in order to be developed.

I have my philosophy that I utilize in order to get the best out of different players. I recently purchased a central midfielder for like 1 million for my Manchester United save. His potential was like less than one star and I have developed him so far as follows:

LHpGWdm.png

There are some players that can become absolute BEASTS in the game if developed properly. They don’t need to have outstanding attributes to start with. I’m sure if you do some scouting you can find a number of players for less than £10 million and you would have pretty much a new team.

An example of a BEAST that has been developed:

1HC5pD8.png

8GDnrxN.png

Every aspect of football manager is completely controlled by me apart from team talks. I like to take all the press conferences, every single friendly game, every single transfer, however, I would allow my director of football to make transfer bids on certain players, but, I would always get a final say on the transfer. The reason why I allow my director of football to bid for different players is because perhaps he would find a fantastic young talent that shows potential or he might find a player that would become a very valuable asset that I can use to sell to make a profit.

I would only give team talks when my team is not converting their chances. That can happen sometimes you know. You just get angry when your team has like 50 shots and no goals and are losing 1-0 because of an own goal. LOL. But yeah, I sometimes intervene if I feel it is necessary or if my hand automatically moves and clicks a few buttons.

I'm now taking care of the general training for both the reserve team and my u-18 team. Every player are trained in the correct position. I also focus on the attributes that I feel they have to increase the most. Do you listen to your coach if he says that he doesn't think that the player can develop a certain attribut?

When creating different tactics, I usually visualize the style of football that I want the team to play and therefore attempt to create that particular vision throughout the club. That vision becomes the clubs philosophy. In order to ensure that the players are able to fulfil my vision, I train them accordingly. I do indeed listen to my coaching staff sometimes whereas at other times I would ignore his advice. It really depends on the unique situation surrounding every individual player and the tactic at hand.

Even though you use this tactic, perhaps you have a slightly different interpretation of what you feel is best for the football players at the club that you are managing. Therefore, the players that are trained at your club would require different training methods in comparison to the way I train them at Inter Milan for example. The player preferred moves would be different for one. It really depends on different circumstances.

How will you do with barcelona with the newest summer update

Please post pictures of the Barcelona squad with the newest summer update so that I can advise you appropriately. I don’t have the latest update.

Having said that Marc Andre Ter Stegan will definitely be the sweeper keeper in my team.

I would attempt to sell a number of players from the Barcelona squad. I would prioritise in buying new central defenders. The central defender I would purchase would be a left footed centre back.

Some of the players I would send out on loan.

Personally, I would buy Lucas Romero as he will perfectly fit into the team as the central midfielder (D). It will build up the Argentinian group of players. I would purchase a new right back who would be an understudy to Daniel Alves, so someone with potential, preferably a Spanish national.

I will focus on developing the Barcelona youngsters and use the training facilities effectively in order to develop and promote young players from the academy.

This save would purely be about developing young players.

Arda Turan rotates with Ivan Rakitic whereas Xavi rotates with Iniesta.

I would also buy a young striker with potential who would rotate with Munir, Suarez, Messi and Neymar.

You chose the exact same players as I did.

Okay, thx for the answer

Was just wondering how you get it to look like this? Look cool :)

http://i.imgur.com/LHpGWdm.png

I have changed quite a few things inside different panels. I have created new xml files. I assigned those XML files to different font types that I thought were attractive. A lot of trial and error. I have borrowed one or two XML files from another skin and then changed a few things in Photoshop. I changed different colours. I have added a few XML files and removed others.

I found a lot of information inside the skinning forum where a number of people have contributed and as a result I was able to do what I did.

I wondered why my downloaded version 1.8 didnt look like yours. Can you not zip yours up for others to use?

BTW im using your tactic in lower leagues and having mixed results but i think thats because my team is shockingly ****. Any tips for LLM? i have zero funds and no spare wages so transfers are out the window for now

Please post pictures of your entire squad so that I can advise you appropriately. It would be very difficult for me to make a judgement without knowing their qualities. I also need to know which nation you are managing in and what league your team is in. For example: Championship.

Moreover, it is very easy to manage finances in Football Manager even when you are in the lower leagues. What I did was sell a lot of players and relied on loaning players from better clubs.

Play a lot of friendly matches in order to increase your income. You don’t always need to play your first team squad. Utilize your entire squad, including the youth team.

Furthermore, in order to improve the quality of your squad, you need to do some scouting and find promising young talent. I really recommend signing midfielders who have good first touch and passing. The rest of the attributes would increase over time.

Show me your pictures of your squad for the short term including any promising young prospect.

I've been using this tactic with Stevenage in League 2 and have won the league with 3 games to go. Some tips I'd suggest are:

-Get rid of anyone you think is rubbish as best you can to free up some wages - even if it means giving them away for free.

-Change you transfer/wage budget slider all the way towards wages!

-Free transfers only! Get some decent players for this level for really low wages - Give them 50% sell-on fee, these players are never going to go for millions so max you'll lose out on is £200-500k, but if they fire you to promotion then it's worth it

-Parent Clubs - Get a premier league team for free loan players - I managed to get West Ham and signed 2 strikers in the first transfer window for absolutely nothing. Then managed to get a left back from them in January who should be playing in the Championship again didn't pay a penny!

-Prepare to concede - I conceded a lot of goals from crosses due to the poor defenders I had

-Discipline - Conceded a lot of penalties due to lack of pace in my defenders and playing a high line. Got a lot of red cards as a lot of players in the lower leagues have the 'Dives into tackles' PPM - Do not play him as the CM-D or he will spend most of the season suspended

-Use as many loans with 0% wages as you can! Rotation will give you an advantage as most players have poor fitness in the low leagues.

I'll post some screenshots of my season once it's finished!

Great tactic!!!!

Here's some screenshots from my season in League Two with Stevenage

Didn't spend a penny on players, used a link with West Ham to bring in two decent strikers who scored a lot of goals.

Struggled at first due to very slow defenders constantly getting caught up the pitch and conceding penalties, as well as my central midfielder getting sent off constantly since he has the Dive Into Tackles PPM, settled down once I had him retrained.

Retrained my wingers to full backs as the had half-decent defensive stats - mainly played these at home and my more solid full backs away.

Scored a lot of goals from corners!!

Had a injury prone squad so had to get a big squad to compensate.

Finally my goalkeeper struggled with the sweeper keeper role and was making a lot of mistakes, so spent practically all of my remaining wages bringing Ricardo in - did a much better job so second half of the season was much better defensively.
