Avoid The Drop 3.0 - Game Thread

End of Season 2016/2017

Erik Bäckermann - Erik mainly played in the Bayern II squad this season playing 26 and scoring 23, but did get into the first team and played 14(9) games, scoring 16 goals and creating 4 assists. He is currently in the Germany squad and might make his debut anytime soon. Bayern won the German Super Cup where Erik scored twice in a 3-1 win, the Bundesliga and won the Champions league where Erik stayed on the bench throughout.

Antoine Clemont - Antoines claims for first team football were answered, sort of. Manager Sam Allardyce gave him 10(10) games in total where he scored 5 goals and made 2 assists. He did however still play 56 games for the u-21s and u-19s. Southampton finished 12th in the Premier League.

El Mantis - A big money move and a very good first season with Porto. He played 18(3) times for the club, scoring 12 goals, making 13 assists and was named PoM on 14 occasions. Porto won the league and the League Cup. Pumas are in his favourite clubs as a player.

El Ticuito - He's only gone and diced with death again. He was loaned to Swansea and had a pretty good season, playing 27(3) games with 9 assists and 7 PoMs, helping Swansea finish 5th in the Premier League. Meanwhile his Hull side who he's never played a game for, got Relegated. Shame it'll be Championship football next season instead of European.

Zachary Eldinho - Moving to a newly promoted thing is usually a bad idea for relgation, fortunately Reading proved people wrong and finished in 8th place. No doubt helped by Zacharys 19 league goals, 24 in total in 44 games. It looks like he'll miss out on the Top goalscorer award by playing 1 more game. Ipswich are in his favourites as a player.

Gins - Gins had a pretty interesting season when he was shipped out to Finland to play for IFK Mariehamn, where he played 11, conceded 9 and kept 6 clean sheets and was named supporters player of the season, they are in his favourites as a player too. He then came back to Blackburn and was moved down 2 league to League One Rochdale, where he helped them get promoted to the Championship. All he needs now is to break into the Blackburn first team or a big move.

Christopher Hatton - Christopher may not have been pleased to have joined Bournemouth in the Premier League, predicted 16th, but they actually proved everyone wrong by finishing 6th and qualifying for europe. The only downside is the 7(4) games played with 4 assists and 4 PoMs. However he did make 5(18) appearances for Everton before. Everton finsihed 16th in the league and won the Europa League.

Junior - Junior played a number of games for the first and reserve teams this season, 2 goals and 3 assists in 9 for the first team and 4(5) games and 4 goals for the reserves. PSG won the Champions Trophy, Ligue 1 and Coupe de la Ligue and were Champions League runners up. I believe has been tutored by Edinson Cavani.

Steven Kemp - Despite making news of wanting a better contract (public) he had a very good season, playing 47(1) games overall with 16 assists and 17 PoMs. Villa finished 9th in the Premier League and won the Capital One Cup, in which Steven got a 10 rating against Chelsea.

Lawrence Lazewski - Lawrence is slowly working his way into the Spurs first team, making 9(10) appearances, scoring 5 goals. He did however still play 25(5) with 43 goals for u-21 and u-19s. He got his first 2 goals for USA against Cuba early in World Cup qualifying and has got another 2 since. Spurs finished 7th in the Premier League.

Bambang Pinheiro - Didn't play much for the first team this season and spent most of it in the reserves. However he did get a chance to play in the Europa League final and only went and scored the winning and only goal against Chelsea. Everton struggled in the league, finishing 16th.

Lewis Walsh - Lewis seems to have broken into the first team, playing 16(3) games in total, scoring 8 goals. West Ham however struggled and it could have been the end for Lewis, but they survived by 2 points finishing in 17th place. Andy Carroll is in his favourites.

Relegated Players

Aboubakari Mensah - Spent another season out on loan, this time he was off to Club Brugge in Belgium. He played 29 games toal, scoring 4 and creating 9 assists, helping Club Brugge to 3rd place in the league. Mensah has got into the Ghana first team and now has 10 goals in 13 caps, helping them qualify for African Nations.

Chris Small - Chris had an ok season overall, 19(4) played, 6 goals and 3 assists. Cardiff however could only finish 16th in the Championship and were very poor in the cups.

Hmmm, not too bad. I'm happy with the 12 caps aswell. At least the new National Team manager has kept the faith that Peckerman had. Hopefully He can get into the Everton team now, with Champions League football to be played. Can really put himself in the shop window for a move to the big boys!!

Things just getting better and better for my player at the moment. Hoping for a move to a bigger club to secure no chance of relegation for a while. Hopefully being in the team of the year will get me some attention.

El Ticuito is treading a bloody thin line it seems. Getting very lucky with avoiding relegations now. I feel Hull in the champ next season means he has to move sometime soon (though I'm guessing your latest update of transfers is up to september and thus the end of the transfer window :( ).

End of Season 2017/2018

Erik Bäckermann - Erik has been playing for both Bayern and Bayern II, the stats that matter more are 26(8) games, 26 goals and 6 PoMs for the first team. Bayern won the German Super Cup, European Super Cup and Club World Cup, in which Erik scored in each final. Bayern also won the league. Is unhappy because he wants a new contract due to good form. Is in the Germany squad for the World Cup.

Antoine Clemont - Antoine finally got a full season at Southamtpon and played pretty well overall. 36(2) games, 7 goals and 11 assists, helping Southampton into 10th place in the league. Has been called up for England for the World Cup, so will most likely never get to play for Belgium.

El Mantis - Another amazing season in Portugal, scoring 20, getting 15 assists and 21 PoMs in 47(3) games. Porto won the Supertaca, the League Cup and the League. He has also been in great form with the Mexico squad as well. Porto are now in his favourites. With the Mexico squad for the World Cup.

El Ticuito - Finally got some games for Hull with 22 games in the Championship. He is now unhappy though as he wants to leave for first team football, manager has broken promises and thinks a player should be getting played more. Hull finished 2nd in the Championship getting promoted. Is wanted by Liverpool.

Zachary Eldinho - Another great season for Reading with 21 goals in total in 42 games helping Reading to finish 6th in the league, unfortunately no Europe as other teams won cups etc. He is wanted by Man Utd and is in the Sweden squad for the World Cup.

Gins - Gins still isn't getting first team football for Blackburn and should really try to leave. He made just 1 appearance in the cup and conceded 1 goal. He is a similar type of player to Jason Steele. Blackburn finished 13th in the Premier League.

Christopher Hatton - Spent the season on loan at Norwich in the Championship, playing 15 games with 4 assists and 3 PoMs. Returned to Everton to play 1(10) games, scoring a couple of goals. Everton finished 9th in the league, were Euro Super Cup runners up and FA Cup runners up. With the Colombia squad for the World Cup.

Junior - Not great for Junior as he spent most of his time in the Reserves. He played 4(1) for the first team and scored 3 goals, meanwhile playing 11(1) with 11 goals and 8 assists for the reserves. Is unhappy and wants first team football. PSG won the Champions Trophy and Ligue 1 and were Champions League runners up.

Steven Kemp - Steven played a ridiculous amount last season and was impressive. He played 58 games in total, making 9 assists and 19 PoMs. He scored his first ever Belgium goal too. He got lucky though as Aston Villa survived on the last day of the season in 17th place. Is with the Belgium squad for the World Cup.

Lawrence Lazewski - Still not quite a first team regular for Spurs, but is getting there. He played 16(10) games and scored 10 goals. Spurs finished 7th in the League and won the Capital One Cup, but didn't feature in the final. Is with the USA squad for the World Cup.

Bambang Pinheiro - Is looking like a regular now for Everton, playing 28 games in total, making 12 assists and getting 2 goals. Everton finished 9th in the league, were Euro Super Cup and FA Cup runners up. He scored his first ever goal for East Timor as well.

Lewis Walsh - Lewis had a similar season again for West Ham playing 16(10) games and scoring 13 goals for them. West Ham finished 8th in the league. Lewis now has his first 2 goals for the Welsh national team, no World Cup for them though.

Relegated Players

Aboubakari Mensah - Another season out on Loan, returning to France for Marseille. He played 34(1) games, scoring 12 goals and made 10 assists, helping Marseille to 2nd in the league. Ghana didn't make it to the World Cup, so won't be there unfortunately.

Chris Small - Chris played nearly all games for Cardiff last season with 49(1) in total, scoring 7 and making 7 assists. It was almost another relegation though as Cardiff finished 20th in the Championship. No World Cup for Scotland though.

Wanted

El Ticuito - Liverpool

Everton Manager needs to have the same faith with Hatton that he does with Bambang!! Then they would be winning things and not just finishing runners up :(

No more loans and we should be okay.

Well, of course Bäckermann wants a better contract, how's he supposed to get along on a quarter-million-pounds a month? It's not like Bayern can't afford him, I've seen their books.

Steven Kemp made 2 appearances for Belgium, picking up a yellow card and making 1 assist.

World Cup 2018 Round 2

Some interesting ties.

Zachary Eldinho didn't play any part in the game against France.

Christopher Hatton and Steven Kemp went up against each other, where Steven was sent off after 52 minutes and Christopher came on in the 67th minute. Hatton scored his penalty.

We saw another 2 going up against each other, unfortunately neither of them played.

Next up Belgium take on Germany with our last 2 players in the World Cup, so one is going to the Semis.

Happy with the world cup, undefeated apart from penalties, where I scored.

Hopefully this will either make the Everton manager notice me or get a club to come and poach me. Last year of my contract with Everton  Surely a world cup star is worth more than £9,750 a week :o

Plenty more goals, interest from a top club, scoring in the World Cup and Supporters Player of the Year again. Good season for Eldinho. Disappointed not to have got a transfer though, two good scoring seasons in the PL and getting Reading on the verge of Europe is well ahead of my expectations.

End of Season 2018/19

Erik Bäckermann - A very good season for Erik, scoring 31 goals for Bayern including the 4th in their Champions League win over Atletico. They finished 2nd in the Bundesliga. Broke the Bayern record for most assists in a season with 11, highest rating in the German Cup with 8.04 and was shortlisted for World Golden Ball.

Antoine Clemont - Paul Lambert seems to have realised Antoine is a good player, playing him in 43(3) games, Antoine replied with 12 goals, 5 assists and 8 PoMs. Broke Southampton record for most Player of the Matchs in a season with 5. Southampton finished 12th in the league and were Capital One Cup runners up. He also has his first goals for England too.

El Mantis - Continuing his great form again with 17 goals, 22 assists and 18 PoMs in 52 games for Porto. He recently broke a couple of records, most assists in a season for Porto with 20 and highest average rating in the league with 8.26 in 33 games. Porto won the League and Cup. He was also shortlisted for World Golden Ball and was named North American Player of the Year 2018.

El Ticuito - It went on too long and unfortunately it's time for El Ticuito, he's been relegated with Hull. He played 40 games in total, scoring his first goal for Hull. So overall disappointing for El Ticuito, he seems happy enough to be staying with Hull as well.

Zachary Eldinho - Some good and some bad, the bad news first, Relegation with Reading. The good news is that his season was quite good, scoring 20 goals in 40 games, but still no top goalscorer award. He also got 7 in his last 8 for Sweden. He is unhappy at the club getting relegated and wants to leave. Named in the Premier League Players' Team of the Year.

Gins - Still can't get first team football with Blackburn and really needs to leave, he is transfer listed too so that might help. Blackburn however finished 19th in the Premier League, getting relegated, but Gins only made 7 appearances in total, and we said 10, so he stays in.

Christopher Hatton - Was a rotation player again for Everton, playing 12(17) games for the club with little to show. Fortunately for him his contract was running out and he's off to join Aboubakari Mensah at Atletico once it runs out. Everton finished 9th in the league.

Junior - A move away from PSG was definitely what was needed. 62 games in total, 21 goals, 24 assists and 20 PoMs in his first season for the club. He broke the Lyon and Ligue 1 record for most PoMs in a season with 11, was named 2018 European Golden Boy, broke the Lyon record for most assists with 21 and highest average rating for Lyon with 8.13. Lyon finished 2nd in the league and won the French Cup.

Steven Kemp - Another good season for Steven, playing 39 games, scoring 1 (his 2nd for Villa), creating 11 assists and 19 PoMs. He helped Villa to a 10th place finish. Steven was named English Players' Player of the year and in the Players' Premier League Team of the Year. He also broke the record for most PoMs in a season with 17, was shortlisted for World Golden Ball and was in the World Team of the Year (first team).

Lawrence Lazewski - Lawrence upped his game once again with 18 goals for Spurs in 28(13) games, which has caught the eye of Liverpool. Spurs finished 5th in the League and were Europa League Semi Finalists. Lawrence was also in top form for USA scoring 14 in 8(2) games.

Bambang Pinheiro - Bambang wasn't given much of a chance this season, playing just 23 games in total, scoring and creating just 3 assists. Everton finished 10th in the league. He was wanted by Spurs not too long back, but it seems they have dismissed those claims.

Lewis Walsh - Lewis didn't play too often again, but he is slowly getting a few more games each season. He played 16(16) and scored 11 goals for West Ham, helping them finish in 6th place. Unfortunately due to other teams winning cups, West Ham won't be in Europe next season.

Relegated Players

Aboubakari Mensah - Actually stayed in spain this season and showed Atletico what they were missing. He played 35(12) games, scoring 13, creating 13 assists and getting 11 PoMs. Atletico finished 4th in the league, were Spanish Super Cup runners up, and were Champions League runners up. Aboubakari also claimed a PoM, with 2 assists in the African Nations final as Ghana won 3-2. He also broke 2 Ghana records, for assists with 5 and PoM with 5. He broke the Atletico record for most PoM as well with 11. He was also named in African 11 of the year and Champions League Dream Team. Lastly he was named Broadcasters African Footballer of the Year.

Chris Small - A pretty good season for Chris and hopefully it will get him a move away from Cardiff. He played 48 games in total, scoring 2 and making 11 assists. Cardiff finished 10th in the Championship.

Chris Small - Aston Villa and Everton

Not really sure, i set Loyalty to 10, so they weren't too loyal to their clubs, but clearly it's changed, i'll check it again and see how much it's risen by.

Only gone up to 13.
