I have always enjoyed starting with a mad international scramble for players with a limited budget. The game typically needs a bit of rebalancing around wage and transfer kittys, but otherwise tends to develop some pretty interesting outcomes with no two scenarios turning out the same. This is such a common feature in other sports games that I am annually disappointed that SI does not smooth out this option officially. Several years ago a simple button in the editor removed all existing contracts, but this was pulled at some point. If they had this as one of the add-on purchases, I would gladly pay $3-4 for it. Will update when all the playable leagues have no players in their squads. Leaving in the staff though as that tends to cause problems if there is no staff at any clubs.
