Maybe if you switch to "Other Cup" in the competition type for Coppa Italia Eccelenza, it would work? just suggested something :)

KNOWN ISSUE:

We really don't know why, but it may happen that Serie A teams will take part of the Coppa Italia Eccellenza

I haven't checked your file, but the reason is probably that the leagues you have selected can't provide enough teams. When this happens, the Italian teams with the lowest unique ID will be added to the cup.

Example: if your require 10 'First Teams Only' for the cup and that league only has 9 first teams (the others being Reserve or B), the game will add a Serie A team to the cup.

Have Italian leagues been sorted yet with Serie A kicking off on Saturday ??

NO! Only Serie A is! Today we are going to hear court verdict about Catania match-fixing (probably Lega Pro with 5 points deduction )and about Teramo/Lega Pro match-fixing (Teramo relegated to Serie D with 20 points deduction instead of playing Serie B, various deductions for other teams). Then next week re-admission verdict...tomorrow i will post how the leagues are going to be (of course).

Catania relegated to Lega Pro with 12 points deduction; Teramo and Savona relegated to Serie D. Brindisi relegated to Eccellenza Apulia. L'Aquila 1 point deduction; Torres 2 points deduction; Vigor Lamezia 5 points deduction; San Severo 2 points deduction; Puteolana 1 point deduction; Atletico San Paolo Padova (now Luparense) 1 point deduction.

Virtus Entella and Ascoli reprieved into Serie B.

Gubbio and Forlì reprieved into Lega Pro.

Arzanese reprieved into Serie D.

The new Serie B: Ascoli, Avellino, Bari, Brescia, Cagliari, Cesena, Como, Crotone, Latina, Livorno, Modena, Novara, Perugia, Pescara, Pro Vercelli, Salernitana, Spezia, Ternana, Trapani, Vicenza, Virtus Entella, Virtus Lanciano.

The new Lega Pro will have only 54 teams. 27 August composition and fixtures, seems to look like:

Group A: AlbinoLeffe, Alessandria, Bassano, Cittadella, Cremonese, Cuneo, Feralpi Salò, Giana Erminio, Lumezzane, Mantova, Padova, Pavia, Pordenone, Pro Piacenza, Reggiana, Renate, Spal, Sud Tirol

Group B: Ancona, Arezzo, Carrarese, Forlì, Gubbio, Lucchese, Lupa Castelli Romani, Lupa Roma, Maceratese, Pisa, Pistoiese, Pontedera, Prato, Rimini, Santarcangelo, Siena, Torres, Tuttocuoio

Group C: Akragas, Benevento, Casertana, Catania, Catanzaro, Cosenza, Fidelis Andria, Foggia, Ischia, Juve Stabia, L'Aquila, Lecce, Martina, Matera, Melfi, Monopoli (if meet ground grading; if not Taranto will take this place), Paganese, Vigor Lamezia

Paganese won re-admission; in Serie D we have 10 teams out with 1 (Gelbison) actually recurring against: teams who are going to restart from regional championships are: Asti, Battipagliese, Civitanovese (Eccellenza Marche), Gelbison*, Gioiese, Hinterreggio, Neapolis, Savoia (Eccellenza Campania), Sora, Termoli (Eccellenza Molise).

massive repechage with many groups turning to 20 teams: Liventina, Luparense (former Atletico San Paolo Padova), Monticelli, Olympia Agnonese, Ghivizzano, Derthona, Scordia, Folgore Caratese and Castiadas are going to be in the championship. Luparense point deduction means they are ineligible for repechage so they should be excluded; Dro taking their place, Castelfidardo waiting for the definitive list of teams: if odd they will be in also.

I've never managed in Italy, but all this chaotic upheaval looks like a blast to manage. Can't wait for the FM 16 database, assuming it makes it in.

Where does this leave Castel di Sangro?

Folded in 2012. Castello 2000 is the only team in the town now, playing in Promozione Abruzzo (Sixth Level)

I asked them in their forums and they will do it, but only when it's decided what exactly will happen to Parma, and the spot in Serie B.

Does anyone know if this Update has been made yet?

As I don't speak italian, I don't know the exact details, but I think there were some issues in the lower leagues. That's why it was not released yet.
