Well,

Now that FMT17 is out, it's time to renew our vows (wishes):

1) Editor (It could be a separate application, with a fair price)

2) Full match option in the highlight mode (you could make this option only available in 2D classic view)

3) Full control in tutoring players

4) Change the nation limit to a division limit.

At this moment you can play with with 12 divisions from 3 nations, if you choose for example England, Spain and Italy. You could limit the amount of divisions, let's say 8, but those 8 divisions could be from 8 different nations.

I like this guy ideas! :D

Option 2) is for Tablet, I take it. That may be possible one day when / if the specs can handle it.

Could we have a challenge created for a European Superleague for Touch?

I played a version in FM2017 which I really enjoyed but the game play takes too long verses touch but gets away from the game being too easy after a few seasons as you’re constantly having to test against the best.

As no editor guessing its not possible in touch? but could 1 be created as one of the defaults.

Thank you

What you could do is export teams for Versus Mode and run a Super League in that with imported teams :)

An option to turn off player pictures would be really good. It does nothing for me, I know what most players look like and for newgens, a computer generated avatar adds nothing to the experience.

There is an option under the interface preferences to turn off pictures for newgens.

Would that then continue on though? Newgens, transfers etc

Love to see an editor for this! i've got one  kid and another one on the way. So my days of playing full fat are over.

For me, i would like to add myself and family members into the game.

Change the league system for Scotland. e.g. 3 leagues of 18!

Git rid of the debt at all scottish clubs.

Make all clubs professional in the scottish league.

and upgrade the league atraction value.

I'd love to see FMT on the Galaxy Note 8. The handset is probably more powerful than most of the FMT supported tablets, it's got a huge screen (for a phone) and the stylus control would complement the experience.

  1. I’d like to be able to manage tutoring.
  2. If I make a board request, it would be nice to have some descriptive text explaining why the board refuses it (eg. insufficient funds, investing would cut into dividends, zoning will never be possible, we just don’t like you, etc).
  3. On screens with player lists it would be great to have a “Select all” feature to check all the PKD boxes at once.  This way I could quickly select a whole team for resting, a group of players who match my filter for scouting, add groups to shortlists, etc.
  4. A history of final league tables retained as I advance through the years.  This way I can see the long term progress of my team, points, goal difference, etc.  If space in the save file is very limited, it could be retained only for 10-20 years and only for active leagues.  Also, I don’t need the playing career stats of back room staff and other managers, so that data could be dropped.

After play FMT 2017 and now playing FMT 2018 on my iPad. The biggest regret and i hope will add on FMT 2019.

1. Max nation to select at least 5 ! (3 is too less, cant select top league in europe!) (THE MOST I WANTED)

2. Team talk like FM full version

3. The coefisien in Asian Champion League can up and down like Europe.

4. Editor for FMTouch. No problem if I should pay!

Thanks

I'd like to add two aspects that I didn't see on the list yet (sorry if I missed them):

1. (minor issue) Why is it not possible on the fixtures screen to filter matches shown by competition?

2. (minor issue) I miss a more prominent info on attendance for each match; I would expect it to be shown in the build up with weather and referee info - or did I really overlook that??

3. (more major... valid for FM and FMT) I watch the ME in 3D with lowest Details. I still see a Kind of reflection of how big a game is, i.e. is this a lower league match with 10 People attending or the CL final. BUT I don't HEAR it. Can you please put some more work into the "audible scenery", i.e. differences of volume and kind of cheers etc. That would add to the flair, at least for me. And shouldn't this be much easier than working on graphics?

My wishlist:

  • More then 3 Nations if your Tablet is able to handle this.
  • More Scouting Options and a large player database.
  • Logos for every Nation SI has the license.
  • Make Tutoring visible. It is there, it‘s a big part of player development, why is it not available?

Regards

Volker

Hi,

I really want an Editor or somehow be able to play custom databases.  I cannot explain how important this Feature is. Or at least make make german Oberliga and Regionalliga playable in FMT please. Three Divisions are not enough.

Best Regards.

Must have is an editor, to allow player squad changes, contract length and stats. Ability to change the stadium used by club in-game.

Unlocakble to create a player in-game for that new youth player who suddenly starts getting first team action.

Viewable player I.D. would me nice feature too.

A button that you can press to tell the press your unhappy with the referee as nothing worse than than having a game where the ref costs you a point or even three by there mistakes, at the moment you can't even be critical of the performance. Have it like full fm where the FA warn you and if you do it to much you get a touchline ban

1) Team talks and one to one player talks like the full version. Also meetings with the board.

2) All league tables history viewing the full tables from each season and cup history.

3) How many nations you can load it would be very useful to have more than just 3.

4) Dynamics

We're generally interested in ideas specific to FMT, rather than reusing or revisiting FM ones - many or most have already been considered, and some are just not possible yet.

Interaction, conversation based features being what it is in FMT is a big big part of that. You may as well play FM instead if that is what you are looking for in a game. We'd be interested to know how we can improve the aspect currently there, like we have added the team meetings aspect to FMT that can come up. But I'd have to say full blown meetings, chats or team talks are extremely unlikely.

Why, though? It completely beats the purpose of FMT.

Because it’s something I would like. To improve it. I would really like player talks so you can really talk to them if they are unhappy.

How does it beat the purpose? Talking with players and view history of the seasons. also being able to have more leagues selected  in the game would only improve the game and something quite a lot of people would enjoy.

More information, like history of seasons and more leagues (on tablets) is something I can understand, but the whole point of creating FMT(FMC) was to remove what many deem superficial and unnecessary, heavy player, team and media interaction features being prime suspects.

Slowly adding full FM features into FMT doesn't make any sense.

when did I say anything about media? One to one player talks would help morale as it is annoying when a player randomly gets unhappy and you want to talk to them but you can't.

I would be playing the full game if I could this has only been because my laptop got slower and it wouldn't work. Plus I have to wait so I don't get to hooked  because I am in year 10 at school and need to focus on Gcse's. But trust me I will be playing full fm once I have finished school.

I wouldnt want full blown conversations on fmt but some things just need expanding slightly, for example a player goes to the media to say hes unhappy and may look to move,we cant address that.but what we could have is

*player* im unhappy with lack of first team football may have to move on/or go out on loan

response (a) il play you more but i expect you to work hard.

response (b) il loan you out to get first team football and revisit this when you return.

response (c) not in my plans il let you go.

thats it.

like i say i wouldnt want it full on like fm but just feel in fmt some things just needs expanding just a little bit.

But the point is that effect of "unhappy" player on FMT is not nearly as big as on full FM. He still plays well regardless and he can't trigger a mutiny in the dressing room. Whenever my player gets unhappy for whatever reason I ignore him and everything is fine after a few weeks/months.

Though I have already known it could be limited by the hardware. Guess it would make the game slower. But still, I would like to enjoy a two managers' game with a friend and that's the main feature I care. It is in fact the reason I bought this touch version. So could it be added this a patch?

FMT seems to exist for 2 reasons. First for the player with less time and second for those with tablets. Until this year it has been a tremendous game.

Civilization VI has just been ported onto iPad perfectly. Surely the same can happen with FM?

for those wanting to play the slimmed down version FMT is great but keep developing its key points. Ie tactics and transfers. The tactical side of FM seems to be waning v the likes of FIFA when once it was light years ahead. There are so many nuances that coukd be introduced such as gegenpress, preparing to play against expected formations, planning patterns of play, telling players to do a variety of functions way beyond those set a few years ago now.

finally the match engine seems to have regressed. The game needs to be the pre eminent experience in any version of FM. I understand you have to consider that people own hardware to different levels of tech but surely we don’t need to take a step backwards?

anyway this is all about polishing a diamond. Keep up the good work.

I think there are a lot of fm fans that find fmm too minimalistic but arent having acces to a pc most of the time. I believe that this is the sole purpose of fmt. And yes i agree this means the so called "streamlining". What it shouldn't mean is stripping the game down into a casino game. Player interaction is a vital task in managing a squad. And i think it shouldn t be too hard to also "streamline" this feature. Perhaps with a disable option for players that dont like the fuzz.

The way it is now it seems more a transfer and injury managing game.

Could we have an option to manage staff contracts. The rolling contracts mean when i am playing LL when i want to get new staff in i have to pay a mutual termination fee and this can have a significant impact on a small transfer/wage budget.

I am an iPad user and want to download tactics files, can you find a better way for iPad users to be able to use tac files maybe a converter on your website or something ?

as i am pretty good with computers and find it a total pain to have to use iTunes for this

...which is absolutely perfect.

You forgot tactics.

Player interaction IMO is fine if you want it.  However, it's always going to be a pale imitation of real life.

In my current game, I had an unhappy player because I wouldn't let him negotiate a transfer to Man City.

What would I say in real life?  "Hey mate, we put a release clause in your contract for a reason.  Don't whinge and moan because I won't let you go for less".

Where is that option?

I believe the guys at FM can program a game that allows a good simulation of buying and selling players, setting up tactics, and simulating the game of football.  I think they are brilliant at it, and it's a great way to play, and zip through the seasons.  (building up clubs over multiple seasons was the reason I loved CM from the start).

I don't believe they are psychologists and behaviour specialists who can create a simulation of a personalities, personal interactions and human behaviour, tied into a football game.

For players that want to try and do that, and become a mini-Jose and want to get into the mind game territory:  Then IMO full fat is the perfect place for that.  Seasons take a very very long time to play comparatively, and things like press conferences, team talks, morale etc have just as much, if not more, bearing on the results of the game/seasons.

FMT is great.  IMO it's just about the core of the game.  Build a squad, pick your tactics, manage your finances, manage your players fitness.

Done.  If you want more:  Play the full game.

I don't know why people that clearly love the full fat experience, want to keep cramming more of it into the FMT version of the game.  If you love that stuff - you have a great version of the game you can play.

If you don't:  there is another great version to play, that's FMT.

Quote

I believe that this is the sole purpose of fmt.

Not at all, as FMT is also available on PC.  I think there is more purpose to FMT than just "FM on a tablet".  It's intentionally a streamlined version of the game - it's also available on PC as well, so clearly there is a different strategy behind the version of the game.

IMO, players were leaving FM when there was just full fat.  It's far too intense for a large number of people these days.  I started playing CM93/94 when I was a student:  I had hours and hours to put into the game.

I'm still playing now:  but I have nowhere near the time.  The last full fat version I played was something like 13 or 14, and I think I barely got through two seasons, and found it soul-destroyingly monotonous with all of the additional workload involved (that if I left to my assistant or ignored, clearly had a negative impact on the result).

FMT allows me to play when I can, and get through multiple seasons no problems.  It's actually fun again.

And realistically: if you can carry a tablet around to play FMT, you can carry a small laptop or surface around to play full fat.

FMT Mobile:Only thing i'm missing is some add/remove leagues. Is it on your plans to add it on? Or at least don't limit to 3 leagues, 5 would be fine. Or let us load up more players. If it gets slow it's our damn fault, this would be really helpful.

Also more financial planning info eg projections of how a particular transfer or upgrade to facilities may affect future transfer budgets etc. In other words, more informed financial decisions to make than just ‘shall I blow the whole transfer budget or not?’ Make me choose between a big signings and stadium expansion, for instance.
