Running Leagues.

Recommended Posts

Just a quick query concerning leagues. What determines extra leagues you can run, is it RAM or the Graphics card? At present I have 16GB RAM and AMD Radeon HD6800 series 1GB Graphics card.

I'm pretty sure RAM and CPU affect the speed you can run certain amount of leagues. Graphics card is used more when game uses actual graphics when vieving matches. 16GB RAM should be enough for many leagues. :)

RAM and Processor. Mainly processor. Graphics card ends up not being that necessary, although with FM15 offering a bit more on that front, a decent one would be pretty good. I'm sure 14 can run with some of the integrated solutions.

FM is still an 32 bit game... So it has his limit ram. If your hard disk is fast (I mean high rpm) and you have enough cpu... (i3-i5-i7) and over 4 gigs ram you can use full database (Game will be slower as speed because processing but that's because only math etc and your alienware machine not make it any faster)

On My PC I have 8 gigs ram and i7 (2nd generation I think) with 1gb graphics card... I am playing in 119 countries (FM Limit as 120th country (69th editor data) will broke all fixtures and make them unplayable..) (And Game started via customization options 350k players - nearly 100k is 1st day regen though...)

(I don't have SSD but SSD is better for speeding the game but 7200 rpm hdd is enough for me... game process longer in 5400rpm hard disk as I had in my laptop...)

I personally find that having huge amounts of players & leagues loaded puts me off, I like the confines of my universe to be smaller...

To answer your question though, I have a 6 core processor, 8GB of RAM, so you will be fine to run north of 100k players I think.

SSD isn't better for speeding the game, only for loading it tbh.

...and saving which matters if you have a tendency to save a lot
