Crazy Canuck vs NF - dafuge challenge

Recommended Posts

With rancer finally getting FM14 with some kindness from myself. We have decided to embark upon a journey of which many people seem to love and enjoy. The journey in question is that of the dafuge challenge. Many people have succeeded and failed throughout the many incarnations of Football Manager. We hope to join the former group throughout this challenge. The general aim is to lead your chosen side to Premier League and Champions League success.

We have identified a number of rules that we will be following throughout this challenge in an attempt to increase the difficulty. Although that may not be too hard already. Those rules are;

  • Only hiring staff through adverts
  • Using the backroom staff recommendation for identifying players and staff
  • Using the transfer rumours page for identifying players and staff
  • Using our scouts to identify players to sign

The game set up is England loaded down to the Skrill North and South with players loaded from the Regional Premier Divisions and Players from Top Division Clubs in Europe. This gives us a stable player count of 51,000.

Having holidayed for a season we're now at June 25th 2014 and the newly promoted teams are AFC Fylde, Bury Town, Cambridge City, Buxton, St Albans and Billericay Town. The teams have been selected and will be introduced in an introductory post by ourselves shortly.

Btw, as for posting schedule and what not, we actually don't know. It's all very new and personally I haven't played FM in nearly a year so I'm very rusty.

What we do know is that we will try to play a couple nice long-ish sessions a week (mostly later in the week), although this can't be guaranteed of course because of the unpredictability of real life and time zones.

We'll figure it out... :)
