You can turn replays off in your in-match settings I believe.

I am aware of that but I'd like the ability to skip because obviously I'd like to see my own goals but I definitely do not want to see disallowed goals nor to I wanna see my opponents goals either on occasions as it would annoy the hell out of me lol

Firstly I love this version of FM. It's been a long time since I've been able to enjoy football manager as I don't get much time to play it on PC.

I agree I wouldn't mind skipping some Replays. I don't want to see the opponent's 5th goal again.

I'd really love more in-depth finances at some point. I think it adds a bit more depth to the game and gives a lot of potential for different scenarios.

I don't know if this has been mentioned before or if it even will be a popular request but,

Greater control over our youth academy.

Right now, the youth academy feature is very bare bones. Basically you get a short list of regens from your country that you can choose to sign or release and that's it.

I can't be the only one who sees how much potential is wasted by not fleshing out youth academy right?

I mean you can add so much! Like you can set up academies in different countries, or you can influence what roles your youth players specialise in...etc

I hope this little suggestion of mine gets some consideration.

+1 to that!

i think there are areas that could be developed to improve the game like more immersive youth system, more comprehensive finances, building and upgrading your stadium with way more control etc and obviously it would all be connected to the more comprehensive finances. Would be fun when you start getting successful to be able to invest in youth academies around the world. So it’s improvements that don’t add any time to your week to week gameplay but areas you can spend time in if you wish to have more control.

Some of my wishes for the list would be to implement the club legend and icon system like in the pc version and fm touch. Make it more fun and create more positivity around the club when you are being really successful. I’d love to see them finally give us the ability to change set piece takers during a match and also when you get to penalties there needs to be something added or give us the ability to at least choose who takes them. International management needs a lot of work. Would looooove to see reserve team games and also give us the ability to arrange our own friendlies. Also, I’d love to see stats for staff. That whole gold, silver, bronze, natural, normal and what the worst one is is a bit boring and basic. Also the match engine and training still need a little tweaking like I spoke about in that stamina thread. That’s my fantasy FMM wish list 😜

Its not overly 'visible' at present but the players coming through bias according to your clubs setup - so if you have lots of physical coaches then it is more likely you'll get good physical youngsters coming through, have great defensive coaches then you'll see more defensive players coming through from your youth setup etc.

Hmm I normally run with an all fitness coach backroom, but I don't think I've noticed any player come out with particularly strong physicals...

I will be keeping an eye out for this now however.

Also, while it is nice that you've cleared up that there is some depth to the youth academy, I would prefer if it wasn't so hidden.

Maybe do what you did to training and give us a bit more control?

Also, on the topic of suggestions, I would really really love the IGE if it was possible to do more with it. In it's current state it's just sad and boring and leaves me feeling like I've wasted my money(if I'm being honest).

One of the most requested additions to IGE must be the ability to see a players hidden attributes. Maybe you guys could try to get that down first?

I also have another suggestion too, I'm not sure if it'll be popular but I would appreciate it if you guys could take a look at it.

Being able to edit what nationality your team is. What I mean is you could take an average English team(Portsmouth for example) and edit them so that their reserve team and youth academy produces players of another nationality(Japanese for example). This will no doubt lead to a lot of fun new career ideas

Also, I find it interesting to learn about all this tiny details like the coaches affecting the YA that you drop here every now and then. Keep it up and thank you.

Hi Marc, can I ask a question about players coming through the academy.

At Lazio, half-way through the season, I upgraded my youth facilities to 'Top'. At the beginning of the next season, only three players were deemed good enough to graduate from the academy. Their stats were really poor and my assistant manager suggested I release them all (which I agreed with). If my youth facilities are Top, shouldn't I expect to see higher quality graduates coming through?

I would also like the ability to skip replays. It's a bit jarring when you have to sit through each replay without being able to skip it just like full fat & Touch version.

I've found this annoying too, so I turned off replays entirely.

I would love a "skip" or "continue" button though.

Watching this earlier and felt it was very football managery to me, but not.

Then I thought there might be a place for this kind of post game review, as an option...

Some ideas/fixes I'd love to see in future:

More player personalities as well as a more notable effect. These are already in the game to some extent but would be great if they get a mention in match commentary or an occasional news report. For example:

- hard workers can boost team condition during games, leaders boost team morale during big games, fan favourites/popular players boost stadium numbers (which raises end of season revenue), moody/insecure players causing fouls when the game turns against them, confident/relaxed players have boosted composure in penalties, professionals/role models boost training to players in their position/whole team effect (show an occasional new report on player's development like what coaches do currently),  favoured/strained relationships between two players showing better/worse link up

An improved commentary

- to track more stats such as # of goals a player has already scored in free kicks this season, what # hat-trick it is in his career, their scoring streak in the last # of matches, how they're on course to be the golden boot winner in the league/tournament or have equaled/surpassed the current top scorer, or how this player just reached a milestone of champions league goals

- to be able to describe goals from headers (there's only commentary events to show attempted headers on goal but no reflection in context to headers scored)

- to include a commentary event in the case when a goalkeeper scores a goal (after they run up to assist in a final corner kick)!

Trophies and achievements to play a more important part

- currently only for show, but would be amazing if they improved players in certain ways eg. small boost to leadership stat or current ability (not potential ability), increasing the chance of favouring you as a manager, and increased effect in big matches or the particular tournament the player won that trophy in

Players

- who 'favour you as a manager' to work harder in training (especially when working one on one with you as the specialist coach) and respond better to player interactions with them. It currently only plays a part in contract negotiations?

- who reach a milestone # of matches played in lifetime career can gain a small boost in attributes (like technique) eg. each 100 games played. To increase choice selection headache between promising youth or aging club legends!

- who've just won a league/tournament have a line stating their happiness on winning on their player personal page (which doesn't show at all currently so it's a little disappointing when they don't seem to care!)

- who want to move to a bigger club but have just won a major league/tournament to have a small chance of reversing their intention to leave by wishing to stay with the club instead (but less of a chance for ambitious players?)

- A new positive to coach reports for goalkeepers could be 'a penalty shootout specialist'. This can make goalkeepers as late game substitutes viable in big tournaments!

More role traits

- Some roles could use some love too. They're sadly devoid of role traits eg. goalkeeper, sweeper keeper, libero, sweeper, anchor man, shadow strikers

Major tournaments

- To feel like they're really big eg. a UI colour update when the fixture is about to start, or an update to the stadium pitch to include night lights in the champions league! (while I'm at it, how about some scorching hot pitches when playing in desert-like conditions!)

- To give a boost to your end of season revenue depending on how far you progressed in it. It currently only rewards a small amount for 'giant killing' matches.

Match engine update

- player movements to be less robotic and predictable eg. more creative runs with the ball (instead of always going in a straight line), seeing supporting players make dummy runs, more backheel passes or roulette/special tricks

- goalkeepers can be more mobile; involved more in the build up by coming out more as an 11th player, and visibly running further out of the posts to punch away or catch high balls

- increase variety in corner goals. It's usually that person who stands unmarked at the near post scoring them in

- increase variety in free kicks eg. the second free kick taker can do step overs or feign a kick but stop instead, or maybe even play a short pass to some one closer who crosses/shoots

- more chaos overall with multiple deflections upon goal, more strange bounces leading to some really unpredictable and scrappy goals, more goals ending from fouls that are played on by advantage rule

- and a fix for whenever the commentary describes a perfect tackle but the player ends up being given a yellow card or loses the ball instead! (happens a lot)

Finally, more than 4 countries that can be selected when starting a game

- allowing even greater careers to be played out over 30 years! How I'd long to win trophies all around the globe. Should be up to the player's choice whether load times are fast or slow but with phone devices these days, this could really be an option

Oh how I'd be in heaven if any of these wishes make it in future. In any case, thank you so much for continuing to make the best football managing game on mobile! Each year keeps getting better and better!!

Perhaps before a game we could get a news item from our physio which tells us the % condition of each player as a list (I realise this info is in the team selection screen) but more importantly also how tired they are so that we can decide who should be rested, who is getting to the point they might need resting in a few games and who is flying.

I hear in real life managers talk about players being in the Red Zone and this list seems like it would be the kind of thing a real life manager might get before a match. It could be as simple as.

  •  Green Zone: Player isn’t tired at all.
  • Yellow Zone: Player is starting to get a little jaded and may need a rest in the future but perfectly fit to play if needed in the current match.
  • Red Zone: The player could do with a rest in the next couple of games.

This is would be a simple way we could see who is getting tired or not at a glance.

I like this suggestion, perhaps it could be part of an expanded match preview before every game. I feel like we don't get enough narrative about upcoming games, so could also include things like your record against that opposition/injury report as well as odds and what is already there.

With the zones thing, it kind of already exists, just anyone with any sense doesn't use players with fitness below dark green. This could be more emphasised in the physio centre though. Certainly more quantitative feedback would be cool.

My idea there is that the zones will give a clue as to the players jadedness and not just his condition. As we all know players take longer to recover between matches the further into a season we go because  he is getting tired and these zones would indicate how tired that player is getting.

Marc Vaughan confirmed that jadedness is a hidden stat in the game over on Vibe this evening.

https://fmmvibe.com/forums/topic/43251-condition-on-latest-update/?do=findComment&comment=377909

so this would be a way of revealing that info to us as it doesn’t make that much sense that we can’t see that information. In real life the clubs medical team would be monitoring this kind of information.

That is what the 'Somewhat Tired, 'Tired' and 'Jaded and needs a rest' indicates incidentally - but I agree its something I could display more prominently elsewhere, you're correct that putting it on a physio page would probably make sense ... good idea.

These are some changes i´d love to see in the next version of the game:

- caretaker managers, pre-contracts and manager contracts: i´d like to have an expiring contract as a manager that needs to be extended after a couple of seasons, just to make it more realistic. Also i´d like to have pre-contracts with other clubs, so you don´t have to leave your club mid-season to take over any other club that has no manager at the moment. Maybe an assistant manager could take over that club until you take over at the end of the season.

- more realistic manager rating (Wolrdclass, Continental, National, ...): I got promoted from Spanish B2 to LaLiga in 2 Seasons. I managed to constantly reach European Championship Qualification (Europa League) 3 times but clubs that got relegated to 2nd Spanisch League didn´t want to hire me even though i did a pretty good job at my club. The reputation of a club and what you reach with it should also be considerd in the manager rating. Best example is Ernesto Valverde, who did a pretty solid job at Atletic Bilbao and the moved to Barcelona even though he didn´t win major titles with Atletic.

- more realistic offers for players: in all of my careers there are always some teams, that are unexpectedly good. In real football the good players from these surprise teams get bought out at the end of such a season. But that wasn´t the case in my careers. The bad clubs could easily hold all their players without them complaining. The bigger clubs should be more interessted in good players, especially in good young players.

- more realistic manager signings: often good managers get signed by bad clubs. E.g. Julen Lopetegui singed at Deportive La Coruna in Second Spanisch League coming from Spanish National Team and Real Madrid, which is pretty unrealistic.

- Specific Skill Trainers: in addition to the assistant trainers i´d like to have some skill trainers, only for passing, dribbling, pace, movement without ball ... so you can train the overall ability of the squad in a specific skill that also has an influence on how the team plays (eg. Passing and Movement trainer for Barcelona for Tiki-Taka).

- Tactical adjustments: I´d like to have some more options for setting tactics. E.g. players staying in tactical shape or changing positions, player rotations on the wing, high and/or low crosses or no crosses at all.

Hiya. In the new version will there be new active leagues?

Maybe some of ours will be very satisfied with Bulgarian Football League to be playable and the National team to be playable with real names. We are ready to help with sone names etc.

We often see some really famous names fade into obscurity on FMM. Players like Lionel Messi who, once they reach a certain age (say 33), they either retire or are just left to rot in the first team squad.

It would be really good if these players instead sought a move to leagues such as the MLS, Chinese Super League or Hyundai A-League rather than just retire when they still have much to offer.

It would be good if on your manager profile screen, it showed whether any clubs were showing an interest in you (similar to the player contract screen). It would act as a useful indicator to see how well you're doing as a manager and it would give you the opportunity to consider your position knowing that an approach could be made.

Also, can job offers be negotiated so that you can request to join your new club at the end of the season. The new club might say yes or they might say no. Either response could have an impact on your current squad.

Additional starting-game options as extra challenges for those who find the game too easy. Options such as realistic league rules regarding loan and foreign player limits, harder contract negotiations, stricter board chairman/happiness, or automatic saves over the save file.

An update to the AI. AI teams always have abysmal morale (unsure why), terrible condition (poor rotation/squad depth?) and never play on a fast tempo (even on Overload - due to terrible condition?).

Players who have achieved multiple trophies courtesy of your managing to favour you as their most liked person. You can give them all the trophies in the world yet they still don't care.

A revision to the frustrating rule that players can never reach their full potential unless they play in the top leagues. Rather than completely stunting their growth, I'd prefer if match day experience gain was lowered in accordance to the quality of the league.

Edit: Forgot to mention that some training attributes cannot be trained eg. Agility, technique, leadership, teamwork. Would be great if these could be trained in future!

It would be good to be able to bring your backroom team with you when starting a new job. That's not to say it would be a guarantee they would decide to join you. I just resigned from my job at LA Galaxy and applied for the vacant Wigan position who are one place above relegation in the Championship. I could quite understand it if my backroom team at Galaxy didn't fancy swapping the California sunshine for the north of England!

Maybe we could get a more in-depth tactic system. Currently the pre-match reports lack information. You only get to know the formation with your opponent played in the last match and often your opponent then plays a complettly different tactic against you which is very frustrating if you set your team up based on the opponent. If would be better if we get to know how they played not only formation wise but also how the team is set up offensively and defensievly. That would go in hand with adjusting the tacical-analyst scouts who are pretty much useless right now.

Also we need some more tactical choices for example man marking in defense and a better control over the players movement in attack. Also the team-mentality often doesn´t reflext the way you want to play. If i play "control" i often end up with 50% possesion (even with slow tempo and "work into box" while if i play "counter" i often end up with over 60% or even 70% possesion.

In my opinion the scouting needs some adjustment too. After 3-4 seasons there are always 2-3 young players in the top 20 palyers of the world who play at clubs like lyon, watford, dortmund... whitch is pretty unrealistic because big clubs now buying the young players with an age of 18 or younger. I would like the big clubs to sign the young players ealier or that the scouts of the bigger teams more often discover these young players early so they can sign them immediately.

Furthermore the youth squads need some work too. I think it would be very col if you could train Barcelona B for 2-3 years and then take over the first team after some time, just like Real Madrid did with Zidane. It´s common today that teams promote managers from their youth squads if they want a change in the first team. Additionally it would be helpful of you could choose different assistant managers for your youth team even if you are manager of the first team.

I also often wonder if players get better in a team and adapt better to a tactic or if it just stays the same. I know that after you get a new player into the squad they sometimes struggle to adapt to the team style of play if your assistant manager tells you so. But i would like to have a better feedback on how the player generelly do with my tactic maybe indicated with a bar or precentage on how good they are with possesion, counter, high-press, sit deep and so on. That would really help from transfers to setting your team up. To me it´s also unclear, if your assistant manager says that a player is a good dribbler, does that mean that he often tries to dribble regardless of the player roles he has? I would like to have a better feedback and explenation, maybe in the online manual.

The player traits also need some adjustment and a bigger impact on the game and there should be more options for all player roles. For ecample anchor man, central midfielder or defensive midfielder rarely have those player traits. I enver saw a player trait for an DM in my 5 careers even if i trained them as a DM their whole career.

Last i would like to have the option to talk to my whole team just like in pc version. After a bad game i sometimes want to exhort my whole team instead of going trough every player and discipline them. Also i would like to cheer them up after a game that we lost unfortunally. Or give them the extra motivation in a game i really want to win.

I love the game and im lookinf forward to what is to come. Im from Germany and it´s the first FMM that i can play since a long time, because it wasn´t available in Germany due license agreements. Keep up the good work.

Yes this is true. I even wondered whether the various mentality options were labelled incorrectly because I seem to play a more counter strategy when I select Control or even a Contain mentality. I'm also amazed how much possession I have when playing Counter.

Can we add something to the player and staff search so that we can filter by those that have your club as a favoured club?

I like to sign players that have an affinity but it's only by randomly stumbling across them currently.

I understand this exists in the PC version but not Mobile.

Hi,

I normally use Selection view when selecting my team for an upcoming match.

Any chance that you can add Morale to that view?

This could possibly be done by replacing the Condition wheel column as there is already a column displaying Condition as a percentage.

See screenshot for details.

Thanks

The game is great as it is, bugs notwithstanding, however some growing frustrations with the game have me hoping for tweaks that could make the next update/release.

A fix to player happiness when receiving a bid after they just recently signed a new contract. The reason being is that my star players keep receiving bids (sometimes as low as half their market value), then get upset when the offer is turned down. I'd offer them a new contract to win their happiness back, only for them to receive another bid shortly after, causing them to become frustrated yet again...They shouldn't be unhappy after they just signed a 5 year contract! Perhaps having an option to reject all offers for a player unless they meet the minimum release fee could help.

Players loaned out to have their training unaltered and set to whatever focus attribute was left as last. For example, I have a shadow striker's focus set to Shooting, only their loan club to change it to Passing (when passing was already ridiculously high!). Not to mention, Passing is not one of the primary attributes for a Shadow Striker anyway, so this is really baffling. Then there's the small issue of Central Defenders already having 20 Aerial, yet the loan club believes it still needs improvement, when other primary attributes are abysmally low. Or sometimes I'd like my goalkeepers to train something other than Handling for a change... All in all, I'm fine with how training on loan can no longer be edited (for realism or convenience sake), but it's become so much of a hindrance now, such that I no longer dare to even send my players out on loan for fear of completely lop-sided development.

And a bug fix in the training page: The primary attributes of Attacking Midfielder and Deep Lying Forward are missing 'Shooting' in their descriptions.

With all that said, I still absolutely love the game. Keep up the good work, guys!

I'd like the scouting system from the PC game even if it's in a cut down form. The chief scout, based on his experience of footballing regions (so may be you'd have to hire one),  tells the other scouts where to search for players and only those players who would be a worthwhile addition to your squad are recommend to you.

The players, you as manager specify should be scouted, will be reported on in the usual way even if they're hopeless.

A FIFA Club Ranking would be great.

And I don't know if this only happened to me or not but if you update your game and the update is related how the game goes such as transfer, loan, etc. Your old save game(save game you make before the update) will not be changed at all. This happens to me a lot of times especially when the game updates related to transfer,I play as Brighton before the update and I update the game but never noticed any difference(no more offers or loan) but as I starting a new game,I get a lot of offers from the other clubs. I wish I can tell this earlier though.

The update I'm talking about is when you guys make other clubs more active in transfers especially for the club I play.

Hi there..I had to bring this FMM 2019 errors to your attention..(1)How is it possible that I win the league, champions league, club world cup and domestic cups in a season and for some reason whatsoever, THE COACH OF THE YEAR award annoyingly goes to a Fulham,Leganes,Bari,or Everton coach..just tell me,HOW?..

(2)I go on a 20match unbeaten/winning run,top of the league and no press interview or media attention yet a team in 4th or 3rd manages to win or stay unbeaten for 7 games and the press is raving and talking about their chances of winning the league..this wasn't the case in FMM 16..

(3)Away from the errors..Please, please and please..Consider making a 3d match engine..please..doesn't need to be heavy,or just change the coloured dots to players..(like seeing a person with a birds view)

Would be grateful if my suggestions are considered and please sort the above errors in FMM2020

THANKS

Hello Sega..check this out,I would love to manage Real Madrid,Juventus or Barcelona but I am currently the coach of sheffield united,I am top of the Skybet Championship,in the fa cup semi finals and just a month to end the season,Barcelona comes calling..I can't just forgo the chance to possibly win 2 trophies just to accept that(which will be the case if I chose to accept).. MAKE IT POSSIBLE FOR precontracts to be agreed, maybe take over at the end of the season..that's how it is In the real world..Guardiola agreed a precontract then joined City after the season ended at Bayern and so on.

Can we please for the love of god have an option to tell our Director of Football that i don't want to sign X player...so please, stop making offers for them.

Also, that whole mechanic needs a review, my DoF (despite already having a billion MC, DMC already) keeps making offers for more or them. Or at least have some kind of discussion set up for us to identify the position/targets he should be making off-script offers for.
