In this update you'll need to adjust Man Utd's finances. They are always wrong every year anyway and always more debt on the club than IRL so an edited realistic figure would be nice.

At the start of this season, there was a reported £80m cash in the bank, with the club expected to make that again this season regardless of performance. So the club should have around £120m ish in the balance IMO. With a 5th place finish the club is projected to make £120m cash profit, possibly more due to reaching the Champions League 1/4 final. So assuming all £80m was spent which was left from the end of September this season (It wasn't), the cash balance should be at least £120m.

On 18th November 2013, the last info I can find regarding the debt, NET debt (after all deductions) was around £277m, which is obviously a lot different form what you start off with currently in game. And this debt has been reduced even further with the shares on the NYSE and so on. I wouldn't like to guess an exact figure but common sense can be applied here. Its not unrealistic to think at least £20-30m has been reduce off that this season, if not a lot more. There will certainly be a lot more shifted by the start of next season.

Im not sure if you can include this in game but the interest on the debt is only costing around £21m per year after the IPO. Which is nothing really.

Obviously with no Champions League football next year, and possibly no Europa League either, the finances have to be spot on or god knows what will happen to the club. All the info ive provided above is taken from blogs on our finances by respected blogger Andy Green (Andersred). Anybody following the clubs finances will know he's impartial and understands the finances very well. http://andersred.blogspot.co.uk/

Also would it be possible to change the Nike sponsorship, so when the time comes for it to be renewed in game it actually reflects a figure close to what is being reported IRL? There is talk of the new deal being close to $1b. AFAIK, when the deal renews in game, its not so much different from the original deal (depending on performance in game when its renewed). So in effect the club is losing out on a potential couple of hundred million.

So say if you edited the original sponsorship in game to be around $1b, when its renewed the new sponsorship should be around the same. Or even set the old deal not to renew and set up a new one to start when the old one finishes?

Half season 1, most of it looks good, but United ended up being placed in the Group Stage of the Europa League :(. The game indicates United are not in a continental competition but suddenly this happens. Hull, Tottenham, Everton are in Europa too so not sure at who's expense United have shown up.

Tranmere have offered five players new contracts and told Ian Goodison, Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro and Callum Morris they can leave.

Goodison, 41, has been with Rovers since 2004, yet will unsurprisingly head for the exit door as the club prepare for a campaign in Sky Bet League Two following relegation.

They are, though, determined to keep a trio of midfielders in Jason Koumas, Steve Jennings and James Wallace, plus defender Ash Taylor and goalkeeper Jason Mooney, all of whom will be offered fresh terms.

Exeter City have today released details of the retain list following the completion of the 2013/14 campaign.

Sam Parkin, John O’Flynn, Alan Gow, Elliott Chamberlain, Jacob Jagger Cane and Jacob Wannell have not been offered new contracts with the club. This is in addition to Artur Krysiak, whose release was announced on Thursday morning.

Matt Oakley, Matt Gill, Eliot Richards, Jimmy Keohane, Christy Pym and James Hamon will be made offers with the intention of keeping them at the club. Discussions are currently ongoing with Arron Davies and Jake Gosling with news still to follow.

Matt Grimes, Tom Nichols, Jordan Tillson and David Wheeler all recently penned extensions to their contracts.

All other senior players are also currently under contract with the Grecians for the forthcoming season. These are Scot Bennett, Jordan Moore-Taylor, Danny Butterfield, Danny Coles, Liam Sercombe, Pat Baldwin, Aaron Dawson, Craig Woodman and Jamie Reid.

Fans’ player-of-the-year Bobby Olejnik is the surprise name on Peterborough United’s end-of-season list of transfer-listed players.

The popular goalkeeper is entering the last year of his contract at London Road and it’s club policy to make those players available for transfer.

Posh have also transfer-listed Joe Day, Nicky Ajose, Nathaniel Mendez-Laing, Charlie Coulson, Michael Richens, Kane Ferdinand, Tyrone Barnett and Shaun Brisley. Nathaniel Knight-Percival, Daniel Kearns, Craig Alcock, Peter Grant and Tommy Rowe have all left the club after their contracts expired.

Skipper Rowe’s departure was expected as he indicated a wish to move back to the north of England before the current campaign started. Defender Alcock played in both legs of the play-off semi-final against Leyton Orient.

Out of contract players Mark Little and Danny Swanson will both be offered new deals.

-------------------

The time has come for Dagenham & Redbridge to announce their retained list, while the Daggers are also set for non-league tests in pre-season.

Of the nine that are out of contract at the end of June, Zavon Hines, Bradley Goldberg, Gavin Hoyte and Ian Gayle have all been offered new contracts at Victoria Road.

Bar a three-match ban for a sending off against Southend United in the 5-2 Johnstone’s Paint Trophy win, Hoyte had been an ever-present for the Daggers and a consistent season has now seem him offered terms, while Hines is also considering a deal despite being out with a knee injury, which could keep him out of the start of next season.

Goldberg has impressed while out on loan with Conference South side Bromley, and finished the campaign as the top goalscorer in the league, and he’s been given a chance to force his way into manager Wayne Burnett’s plans for the 2014-15 season. Ian Gayle also spent a large chunk of the season out on loan to Grays Athletic, but rose to prominence after Scott Doe’s sending off against Wycombe Wanderers.

The club will continue discussions with goalkeeper Jordan Seabright and strikerAfolabi Obafemi.

On top of last week’s announcements that Chris Lewington, Femi Ilesanmi and Alex Osborn will all depart, Chris Dickson will also be leaving the club at the end of his current deal.

-------------------

MIDFIELDER BEN Harding and striker Elliot Benyon have both been added to the transfer list by Torquay United manager Chris Hargreaves.

The Gulls’ boss has also released winger Danny Stevens.

But Hargreaves is offering new deals to long-serving captain Lee Mansell, both his senior goalkeepers Michael Poke and Martin Rice, midfielder Damon Lathrope, striker Ashley Yeoman and winger Niall Thompson.

Left-back Tom Cruise, whose contract is up this summer, has also been invited back for a ‘prove-your-fitness’ pre-season training mission.

The latest player news completes Hargreaves’ retained list, in the wake of United’s relegation to the Conference.

He had kicked off that process by listing six under-contract players last week – Dale Tonge, Aaron Downes, Karl Hawley, Jordan Chapell, Shaun Cooper and Nathan Craig.

Left-back Kevin Nicholson broke the news of his own release, after seven years at the club, a couple of days later.

Now former MK Dons, Aldershot and Northampton player Harding has been listed after just one season, affected by a foot injury, but Benyon – he also has another year to run on his contract - and Stevens, who is a free agent, are being made available after several years of service

----------------------

Louis Carey’s long Bristol City career is finally at an end after the League One club declined to offer him a new contract.

Youngsters Mitch Brundle and Kevin Krans have been told they can leave Ashton Gate, while goalkeeper Elliott Parish has been made available for transfer.

At the same time as announcing his retained list, Cotterill revealed he is in talks with Academy products Wes Burns, Bobby Reid and Joe Bryan, all of whom have been offered contract extensions

Leeds United tonight began the rebuilding of their squad by releasing seven senior players and six junior professionals.

Michael Brown, El-Hadji Diouf, Danny Pugh and Luke Varney were among the experienced players culled as United launched a major clear-out at Elland Road.

As reported by the YEP this week, a new deal has been offered to 20-year-old left-back Charlie Taylor – currently on loan at Fleetwood Town – and development-squad defender Afolabi Coker is also in line for an extended stay with Leeds.

United have taken up options to extend the contracts of goalkeeper Alex Cairns – the club’s understudy throughout this season – and centre-back Ross Killock.

But all of the senior players who are due to move on from Leeds at the end of June will depart the club.

Goalkeeper Jamie Ashdown, defender Adam Drury and midfielder Paul Green have been told that their services are no longer required.

Drury and Green finished the season on loan at Bradford City and Ipswich Town respectively, and Varney saw out the Championship term at Blackburn Rovers, a club he joined temporarily with a view to a permanent deal.

Leeds have not commented on whether any of their under-contract players have been officially transfer-listed.

The six young professionals released are Simon Lenighan, twins Nathan and Lewis Turner, Richard Bryan, Smith Tiesse and Gboly Ariyibi.

Found an issue when playing as Man Utd. I guess it's related to them being in the Europa League when they shouldn't really be, but I can't register any players for the competition. It never asks you to register players, and there's no option to if you go to your squad and click "registration". So I can only pick U21 players!

Might be a game bug rather than an issue with your update, I guess.
