Yep, fix your tactics.

Its caused by the opposition seeing you as a bigger threat and playing much more defensively against you.

You therefore need to adapt to this and work out how to create chances.

Some sort of magic "I win" button?

Just like real life there is no black & white answer and each match is different. My theory is keep it tight and try to always score the first goal, depending on the opposition formation & instructions that sometimes means keeping possession and working the ball, other times the answer is to try and get the ball forward quickly before they settle into their defensive shape.
