Didn't Real claim they only paid £77 million (€91 million) for him?

It's been reported in Spain that Madrid actually paid £78 mill for Bale, not sure if that's shown in his history or not. Could just be spin to keep ronaldo happy but that could be why.

Edit: beat me to it

Fail by the OP!! :D

Erm yeah, Real claim they paid less than the £80million they did for Ronaldo. Tottenham claim differently. Both do it to appease their fans. Now, who to believe? Hmmmmm.

Regardless of which is the real price paid, in the game it says £85million, so the game has its facts wrong by saying Ronaldo is the most expensive :p

So how is that a problem with Worldsoccer.com? Surely it's a game issue?

bale was 3 mil short of ronaldo

MADRID (AFP) – Real Madrid’s president on Tuesday revealed that Gareth Bale had cost 91 million euros, confirming the Welsh winger had been insured for the value of his transfer fee.

Questioned on the Intereconomia television channel on whether Real’s injured star is insured for 91 million euros ($123 million, 78 million pounds) in the event that he is forced to end his career, club president Florentino Perez replied: “Yes, sure”.

The figure means that Real Madrid's Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo remains the world's most expensive player, costing 94 million euros (80 million pounds) when he moved from Manchester United in 2009.

I meant the worldsoccer.com in the game, not real life. Worldsoccer.com were the guys who said that in my first post. Look at the pic ;)

Again, I'm talking about in-game, not real life. In the game Ronaldo's fee is listed as £80million while Bale's is £85million. Therefore, in this game world, Bale is the most expensive player, not Ronaldo. How much Bale sold for in real life has nothing to do with the issue at hand.

At some point Tokyo, people will get it i'm sure...

The issue is with the game... not even the figure, but the game having Ronaldo set as the record holder..

Just look under Madrid's records, he may still be listed there as the most expensive, sometimes that happens where the database guys forget to make the change.
