Sunderland have signed defender Santiago Vergini on loan.

Notts County have completed the signing of Leicester winger Adam Dawson on loan. Dawson has spent pre-season with the Magpies and has now put pen to paper on a one-month deal ahead of the League One opener against Preston at Deepdale on Saturday.

Woods was snapped up from Leeds United by Chelsea back in 2006 but never made the grade at Stamford Bridge and moved on to Yeovil and Doncaster before dropping out of the Football League to sign for Harrogate Town. Now 24, he'll be hoping to impress at Victoria Park and get his career back on track.

Bradford have signed Portuguese right winger Filipe Morais on a short-term deal following his release by Stevenage. The 28-year-old had been training with the Bantams in recent weeks and is eligible for the League One opener against Coventry at Valley Parade on Saturday.

Experienced midfielder Tommy Miller has returned to Hartlepool United on a free transfer. Miller originally left Victoria Park for Ipswich back in 2001, but after impressing on trial he has now convinced Pools boss Colin Cooper to hand him a contract at the age of 35.

Trinidad and Tobago international Andre Boucaud has joined Dagenham on a one-year deal after impressing during a pre-season trial.

Carlisle have completed the signing of former Republic of Ireland international Stephen Elliott. The 30-year-old ex-Sunderland striker has put pen to paper on a one-year deal at Brunton Park having joined the club on trial in pre-season. He is the Cumbrians' 10th summer signing.

Yeovil have completed the signing of midfielder Simon Gillett on a free transfer. The 28-year-old, who has spent most of pre-season on trial with the Glovers following his departure from Nottingham Forest, has put pen to paper on a two-year contract.

Is Eliaquim Mangala at Man City following his transfer and please can you update Newcastle United's transfer kitty as they sold Debuchy for 12m and already had a 35mil transfer chest at the start of the season.

Also Newcastle United Scout Graham Carr has a full knowledge of French players and has proved that every one of his signings are almost perfect for the small fees that were paid for the signings so his Current Ability for scouting should be 20 and the potential of a player should be 18.

If not already done, Anton Zingarevich is no longer associated with the club and John Madejski is back as Chairman. We have however signed a new partnership (takeover) with a Thai consortium - so that will boost the bank balance

Middlesborough have confirmed they have agreed a deal with Huddersfield for midfielder Adam Clayton. Jacob Butterfield will go in the opposite direction as part of the deal.

Leeds closing in on the signing of Billy Sharp from Southampton. Sharp is well down the pecking order at Southampton and Ronald Koeman is willing to let him move on. A number of Championship clubs have expressed an interest in Sharp, but Leeds are in pole position to land the former Doncaster Rovers hit-man.

Any chance you can check if Oussama Assaidi is still at Liverpool in your db? Can't figure out how to check which db I'm actually playing using right now (I downloaded several to see which was best!) but the one I'm using, which I think is this one, has him at Stoke permanently, a deal which hasn't happened.
