mcgaffer
Just Wondering what kind of Squads people have put together I'm in August 2015, Defending European Cup, Prem and FA Cup Winners GK: DDG/Johnstone DR: Rafael/De Sciglio DC: Smalling/Keane DC: Jones/Doria DL: Shaw/Balanta CM: Ward Prowse/ Cleverley CM: Verratti/ Hughes/ Powell AMR: Januzaj/ Rotariu AMC: Mata/ Stanciu AML: Reus/ Kagawa ST: RVP/ Barbosa/ Welbeck Fell out with Fellani and I couldn't justify Wayne's demands for a 4 Year mega deal, So he left for Chelsea on a Free. Its a Young Flexible Squad with the Whole Class of 92 as Coaches. I even bid 150 million for Pogba, but Juve wouldn't Sell
scott MUFC
my Squad is coming on nicely, already completed one summer signing in Febuary netting Bernard. nice wage total that, mine is £2.6m but the players on the big money are the likes of Robben on 195k Rooney on 180K Valdez on £135k Diego Costa on £135k, for some reason Rio Ferdinand is on £100k but he is retiring, the other United main players are on the 60-80k, the new players on far less. Those big wage players are the ones giving me the goals. just cleaned up the In the march awards, well except goal of the month. he is a good player, now he has had some games his talents shine through as the attacking wing back threat I bought him for dunno why the players made the origional game so difficult. don't understand? it is Inter... brought Gauld off the bench for half an hour, wasn't expecting him to score. Costa seemingly scores in every single game.
The Governator
My United squad a couple games into season 2: GK: De Gea/Horn DR: Rafael/Peruzzi DC: Jones/Inigo Martinez DC: Balanta/Evans DL: Shaw/Evra MC: Lars Bender/Rode MC: Carrick/Cleverley/Ward Prowse AMR: Mata/Januzaj/Zaha AMC: Rooney/Hughes/Januzaj AML: Welbeck/Januzaj/Kagawa ST: RVP/Welbeck I've changed the defense of United far more than the offense, throwing out the old guard of Rio, Vidic, and Evra for younger options. I also managed to rid myself of all three wingers that I wished to lose; Young and Nani because I would take any offer and Valencia because I took a good offer. I sold Hernandez before he could get a game because I detest him. Fellaini was sold at the end of the season after a full season of poor form. Smalling left only because PSG came in with a big offer, I always feel bad selling any of the youngish English players United have in their first team, but I have given Jones and Welbeck pivotal roles in the team and kept Cleverley around, so on that front I feel okay. Looking to maintain an English core in the team beyond them as well with the purchases of Shaw, Hughes, and Ward Prowse. On the youth front, James Wilson and Andreas Pereira both saw some action and did fairly well. Henriquez and Powell both did well on loan and have been shipped out again to start for premier league sides, and Zaha has been promoted to the first team. Comments, criticisms, and discussion of the squad are welcome Edit: For the record, the first season was a bit of a disappointment. I did the double, but that double was the community shield and the Capital One Cup. Third in the league, FA Cup final loss, beat Dortmund in CL but then lost to an all-conquering Chelsea that won the league and the CL in second gear. The Governator
Actually have brought in a new left back since yesterday. Ricardo Rodriguez. Will replace Evra. Have to disagree with you about Phil Jones, I want him in my starting XI for years to come. The plan is to put JWP in once he has proven himself capable. He will have his chances, but he was just signed and I am reluctant to put a 2 star player immediately ahead of Carrick. Cleverley had no buyers and played well, so he remains but just for now. I agree that Mata is not a winger but do think he is an inside forward, he can play AMC when I get rid of RVP and move Rooney up. At the moment though he's coming off of a top scorers medal and completely irreplaceable. Good to read opinions though.thanks.

Ty
Impressive He really is an absolute beast, it's just a shame that he broke his foot for me 4 months on the sidelines... He is wearing the 18 shirt at the moment, not sure whether to give him the number 7 shirt. I feel it is time. Giggs scored 2 in 3 games at 41 O.O a run of SIX clean sheets iin a row ended by ME BS again, Evra randomly passes the ball into a huge chunk of space between him and the keeper, thier striker gets it runs towards goal.. keeper moves AWAY. wth? ManUtdFan
I had a similar situation with Ter Stegen. Had the chance to sign him for free, but had De Gea and a regen with great potential. What i did was offer Ter Stegen out for loan and Dortmund along with Bayern came in and made offers. Sent him to Dortmund where he played week in week out. scott MUFC
I got Valdes and he was instantly #1, de Gea has had some games though, both as good as each other. infuriating for me so far, cant seem to score many goals. another annoying 1-0 home win against lowly cardiff followed I seriously hate godlike goalkeepers, 14 shots on target.... still through to the final FA cup final was..... a 1-0 win, brought on Robben and within a minute he gets the assist for the goal. scott MUFC
so my season ends with 6 games in 2 weeks.. win each and every single one including this final table some player stats and of course and transfers, got given a tasty £60m to spend. and Bernard and Leyva were already bought (before window so was off last years budget and RvP monies) stretched out budget good, Zivkovic was £24m Ramsey was £20.5m. basically spent on places where players are either getting old, or are lacking (eg left wing back) apparantly he is injury prone, so I'll have to be careful with him. cost under £3m cant complain couldn't resist at £20.5m will help my centre mid right away. can't remember the in and outs finding this guy, but he looks an impressive Inside forward at 18, will be the replacment to Robben in a couple of years. another superb English newgen, missed out on him on the inital intake period, and had to beat Chelsea to him. also picked up a swedish newgen for compensation. scott MUFC
yes I know that, but I have Rafeal and Montoya, Premier league sides are in seemingly only the mood to mess me around then sell me players, Especially as they have reached the Champions league 2 seasons out of 2. Man City are in Trouble after only making the Europa league, Yaya transfer listed by request, and Aguaro wants Champions league and is unhappy City keep messing around with the asking price for yaya... and a couple more transfers, one I forgot to screenshot (newgen) on a FREE, couldn't refuse ........ city keep raising the asking price after i match it. so where does this situation go. City wont sell to me (the asking price has gone from 28m to 33m to 39,5m back down to £26m at the time of that offer, and is now £33m.

scott MUFC
not had much out of will hughes in preseason, although my previous save he looked to me like a carrick sort of player. Struggling with Ramsey as well my new mexican has a tasTy shot though it seems, played 2 games and has had a fair few shots at goal, dunno why, nothing special on that side of his stats, but scored that screamer from the edge and has given keepers plenty of work from similar range in another match. assman did this as first time it got played it crashdumped £26.5m Adnan injured on opening day after scoring against Everton fair few players starting thier first game. 2 assists for Stanciu

scott MUFC
he is better behaved then Rooney. my team is a monster atm, Januzaj scores a goal a game. might slot my mexican in a bit more, going to be a beast. same with him, both seem to be right for the job. completly destroyed the Europa league winners...... City Southampton match was more difficult then those other games, they had a few more shots, I destroyed them on the counter. dominated them in the league game which I only won 1-0 I hate on from sides, they score from a free kick and dominate the first half. I dominate the 2nd half. both of us on 100% record from on form annoying sides to randomly promoted out of thier depth clubs sitting at the bottom of the league with a Lonely single point, thought I was going to make double figures they kept it up as well, another 5-0 keeps me above Napoli (who I drew with, and only draw so far) that OG was less of an OG then a fair of the goals my wingers score, Costa runs the ball it touches the keeper and trickles over the line... annoying keepers and wasteful widemen in these low scoring games. GODLIKE KEEPERS!!!, O.G was brilliant, thier keeper (Amos) takes a kick, hits the defender stood a yard infront of him and goes in the net. one of those O.G's you laugh at for a few minutes on clip shows and youtube. sorry for long post, steam not been uploading pictures for 3 days. Southern Buddie
Well I've been away from the game for a while and it has changed somewhat. My brother has just bought the game also. He has challenged me to compete with him. He is taking over Manchester United and I am to do the same. The challenge is to win as much as possible and him challenging me makes me think he has a few tricks up his sleeve. The only rule is - NO TRANFERS IN THE FIRST WINDOW. I think I might be able to set up a simple base tactic, but as I've learned, there are no plug and play tactics for this version. That is for the better IMO and tinkering is the key. The main issues to get my head around: What shape to use? (And do I keep this the same no matter what opponent) Strategy and more importantly what level of fluidity? How to play Rooney, RVP and Mata in one system? I'm thinking with the players available my shap should probably be a 4-2-3-1, 4-4-1-1 or 4-4-2. Defensively I think I could set my team up, but attacking space is vital, which I find hard to apply on the game. And team instructions and player instructions boggle my mind. I'm worried about overkill in this area. The others areas of the game, I have covered. Transfers, squad building, training, the financial side of things etc. Any starting tips you could give me and/or along the way would be priceless. STaphouse
Need some advice, after I decided to start a new game. What are people's experiences with Javier Hernandez? Tottenham have offered me £19.75m (not all upfront) and I am considering selling but wanted to get some advice on him first? I'm struggling to sell some others and I find that replacing someone of Hernandez's quality should be relatively easy. I am also considering getting rid of either Rooney or RVP but i'd want to keep Hernandez if I did that. So what are people's thoughts?

Zeonflux
Finished my 5th season with the pre January transfer update squad. I've only got De Gea, Rafael, Smalling , Jones, Januzaj and Powell left from the original team (can't get rid of Powell and DoF offered him a new contract) I won all competitions in the 5th season beating Chelsea 6-0 in the FA Cup final, Dortmund 5-0 in the CL final and winning the PL on the final day, using a 4-4-2 (2xDMC, 1xAMR, 1xAML) formation that I made. Star players are Timo Werner who finished the season on something like 43 goals in 46 starts and 10+ sub appearances, Lamela and Bale with Fierro and El Shaarawry helping up top and Pogba and Veratti in DMC. Just finishing of Pre Season and brought 2 amazing looking players from Newcastle - Striker to play as my DLFs and Porto - Winger to play in rotation with Bale, Lamela, Januzaj, Ward-Prowse. RTHerringbone
I think I'll call it a day at Man U (though I've kept the save.....) For nine seasons we've been very successful, have just Pogba and Januzaj as "real" players, a bank balance of £1bn, stadium capacity of 100,000, and there's no need for me to stick around. It's bizarrely ironic that I have strived to create a newgen only club, and when on the cusp of achieving that, I jump ship  I resigned and had offers of international management with England and Italy, club management at Real Madrid, Monaco and Chelsea. River Plate appealed more than any of them, but then Saints offered me a job. They have been knocking around between 6th and 10th for the past nine years, but are sitting on a huge bank balance and are ripe for a rebuild. Enjoy the rest of your Man Utd save everybody! Falahk
Second season finished, and it's the second consecutive season that I've lost the Premiership by 1 point. Loving it. have some of the top teams been underperforming on your save? I have won the league comfortably in the first two seasons with around 80 points, and it look like it will be just as comfortable now in my 3rd season (even if this might be more down to City imploding due to an injury crisis around round 30, they where a couple of points ahead of me for most of the season before that)
Sampa
have some of the top teams been underperforming on your save? They ended up 14th. In most FM games for some reason I have found that teams don't score many points in the first season. At least that's how it always seems to go for me. First season I came second to Liverpool by 1 point, I got 75 points and Liverpool, 76. Everton came third then City and Chelsea followed respectively. Second season Chelsea came first with 88 points and I, second with 87. Liverpool came third with 70 points then City, Spurs and Arsenal. Man City and Chelsea both bought a lot of fantastic players during the summer, but for some reason City really struggled, particularly at the start. Currently they're in 8th while I'm in a battle with Chelsea again for top spot (though I've just managed to create a 4 point gap, but got Chelsea next in the league so can potentially all but win the league now, 5 games left). scott MUFC
on my Arsenal are 17th 13 games in, and that is only because they won 2 on the bounce to jump 2 places. they were sat 19th with 2 points before then. I remember a season on FM13 where man city went unbeaten.. but drew more then me that result won me the group Pjanic scored from a free kick, 2nd time he has this season. nothing more pleasing then stuffing chelsea... and thier stupid long throw rubbish removed from the game early. Sampa
Anyone got striker recommendations? Wayne Rooney's been ruined by crazy injuries, I sold RVP first season and now PSG have bid £31m for Vela. Not sure if I should sell because I love him and his game but I really need goals, he gives me more creativity and gets goals too but need an out and out striker. With Mata and Januzaj (and I want to try get James Rodriguez too) I have the creativity. Anyone had experience with Jackson Martinez? Is he worth £34m when he's 29 turning 30 in the coming season? Also I bought Facundo Ferreyra for £24.5m. Also about to sell Otamendi. Have agreed £23m fee with Real Madrid after buying him for his £12.75m release fee last season. However I need some advice - do I sell Jonny Evans to Chelsea for £20.5m? I have Balanta, Nkoulou and Jones. Will look at getting another CB if I sold him.
