sakpase
I am trying to make a database where some countries swap their slots in the game, it is going well (Look here for progress) I am having one main problem however, regen names are staying the same as the departed nation no matter what I do Mercia is the country I replaced the Faroe Islands with, so I will use this as the example. Here in these screenshots you can see I have set nation language to English, I have set the region languages to English and I have set all the city languages to English. http://i49.tinypic.com/wl82l2.jpg http://i50.tinypic.com/15fhait.jpg http://i45.tinypic.com/rk3ajs.jpg But even after these changes the regens still appear with Faroese names. Is there anything else I am missing?
brenosantos
Try to edit the faroese language to the same informations of english language.
sakpase
Try to edit the faroese language to the same informations of english language. I don't understand. Even if that was possible then all players from Faroe Islands (merged with Iceland) will have English names, so this creates a new problem.
brenosantos
I don't understand.Even if that was possible then all players from Faroe Islands (merged with Iceland) will have English names, so this creates a new problem. So try to create a new language with the same name and the same settings of english language. And make sure that Mercia is in the UK.

sakpase
Ok this did not work, here is what I tried. In the editor, language section, I duplicated the language 'English' and rename this new language to 'English - Mercia' I then set the national language, region language and city language all to 'English - Mercia', saved these setting and loaded a game with a small DB so i could see the regen names and have quicker load, but i was presented with this same problem of Faroese names still being used. I took a screenshot of this too http://i46.tinypic.com/2iiu3w2.png

sakpase
No nothing! Here is the thread http://community.sigames.com/showthread.php/339492-Regen-Names-Will-Not-Change-To-Different-Language
critch
I haven't tried it in FM13, but in FM12 the problem with replacing Faroe Islands was that its hardcoded that most of the players are generated with Danish as their second nationality, hence the Scandinavian names. I couldn't find any way of changing that, so the solution I came up with was to not use Faroe Islands for a new league. USSR and Ireland (pre-1920) were good alternatives, if inactive countries still work.
