La Grande Inter
Is there a way to removed licensed kits that ships with the game so kits set in editor will work? I want to replace red Inter away kit with a white one. Can't do this since the licensed kits overwrite the editor.
Stigs Fat Cousin
you can do it using the resource archiver, its a little difficult if you've never used it before but there are guides to using it on the net. It can be found in the tools section on steam, next to where you find the editor. I used it last year to do the exact same thing.

MasterOfSuspense
No idea what the resource archiver does - my folder is empty I would say you have to delete one of the xml files in the settings folder
La Grande Inter
Holy Stigs Fat Cousin! To think such little hint can be so much help! =) Thank you very much! ALWAYS make a backup of graphics.fmf before you try this. 1. Open the Resource Archiver. 2. When it is loaded up click on the Extract Archive button. 3. In the window that appears browse to the Steam folder then: \SteamApps\common\football manager 2013\data (in my case S:\SteamIsSpyware\SteamApps\common\football manager 2013\data) 4. Select the graphics.fmf folder and click the select button. 5. Now in the resource archiver browse to your desktop and and click the new folder button and call it tmp_graphics. 6. Next select this folder and wait until the extraction is complete. 7. Then in windows go into the tmp_graphics folder you created and into the graphics folder in that. 8. Now you should see a folder called pictures and go into that. 9. Inside pictures there is folder kits 10. Inside kits delete the folder called 3D. !!! Do not delete 2D folder. That will screw up ingame graphics !!! 11. Now go back to the resource archiver and click the create archive button. 12. In the window go to the tmp_graphics folder and select the graphics folder that is inside it. 13. In the next window browse to your ...SteamApps\common\football manager 2013\data if you are not already there, and click save. 14. Wait until that archive is created. 15. When it is, close the resource archiver, football manager and the editor if any of them are open. 16. Now start the game as normal and in the interface preferences untick "use skin cache" and tick "always reload the skin on confirm" finally click "Clear Cache". 17. Change skin twice since reload skin don't seem to work proper (this may be an issue with MY skin) 18. Wait until the skin to reload and the kits should be working. SIDE EFFECT: The editor no longer display kit examples correctly. They are left blank but can still be edited. Not sure why this is or how to correct it. PLEASE NOTE: This is not yet tested properly. ruci
You don't need to mess with the resource editor, there is a much faster way to achieve this.. Just download FMRTE (no license is required for this): - Open it - Load your game data - Find your club - Go to the 'Kits and Colours' tab - Press the 'Disable' button in the 'Custom Kits' zone (on the bottom) - Follow the instructions that FMRTE shows you.. This will create a new XML file in the right place that will disable the custom kit for your club.. You can easily turn the custom kits on again for this club by pressing that button again.. I don't want to start a FMRTE war in here, so please feel free to use the XML file that FMRTE generates to make your own guide/tutorial that might be useful for others.. Cheers
La Grande Inter
OK! The FMRTE way is way better! =)
MasterOfSuspense
You have to pay to use FMRTE from this season - well worth it though- think I paid 5 Euros
