I really dont care where I move to, or if I move as long as I get some serious in-league playing time. Sitting the bench or being only used in international matches for the most part suck.

The Stanlies Cup 2009

Kyrgyzstan v Turkmenistan

Sat 23rd May: The Stanlies Cup 2009 1st Leg

Kyrgyzstan Line Up

Kyrgyzstan start with 9 superkids, with Alan as Captain and Davo as the Key Man. The important factor is that neither superkid GK is playing or even on the bench. George Robson, Freealdinho, Habib Halali + El Loco Bartinho are on the bench.

Turkmenistan Line Up

Turkmenistan start with 10 superkids, with Swinson as Captain and De Santiago as the Key Man. On the bench is Chaoconov.

My Opinion

Turkmenistan have yet to win the Stanlies Cup, although this year may be there best chance so far. Without either superkid keeper in goal for Kyrgyzstan in this leg they are vulnerable at the back, so I think Turkmenistan may edge this.

Libertinho picks up a yellow card after just 5 minutes.

De Santiago bravely dives at the feet of Azeryk to deny him a shot on goal after 11 minutes.

Gonzalez is put through by a flick on by Ali Obeid, but his powerful shot is well saved by.

A minute later the ball is down the other end, Alan having his shot saved, but the ball rebounds to Al-Dahash who smacks the ball into the net. 1-0.

Bill is subbed of after 33 minutes for George Robson as Kyrgyzstan change to 4-5-1.

Alan has a curling shot tipped over by De Santiago.

Taphouse is injured whilst defending a corner. He is subbed off after 41 minutes, ‘Taphouse shaking his head as he is stretchered off in pain’. Habib Halali comes on.

Gonzalez is put through by Libertinho, but again the Kyrgyzstan keeper stands tall and saves.

HT: Kyrgyzstan 1 v 0 Turkmenistan

Half Time Match Stats

Player Ratings

An even first half, with perhaps Kyrgyzstan just shading it.

Alan is subbed off at halftime, with midfielder Bartinho coming on. Chaoconov comes on for Turkmenistan, replacing a non-superkid.

Turkmenistan apply some early pressure, Gonzalez putting the ball in the net after 56 minutes but it is ruled out for offside.

Libertinho + Rossini are subbed after an hour.

70 minutes in and Koppers plays the ball into the box, the first shot on goal is parried to his left by the Kyrgyzstani goalie, the ball falling at the feet of Gonzalez who inexplicably hits only the side netting with his shot. Al-Dahash is then subbed off.

A few minutes later and Dumats + Ali Obeid are subbed off.

81 minutes gone and Azeryk almost doubles the advantage, his shot narrowly going wide of the far post.

Gonzalez is subbed off after 88 minutes.

Azeryk then picks up a yellow card during injury time.

Kyrgyzstan hold on to win despite much pressure from Turkmenistan. MOM goes to Birkinaldo, although a special mention has to go to Kashuba, the non-superkid keeper for Kyrgyzstan who performed out of his skin.

The Stanlies Cup 2009

Turkmenistan (0) v (1) Kyrgyzstan

Weds 26th May: The Stanlies Cup 2009 2nd Leg

Turkmenistan Line Up

10 superkids start for Turkmenistan, with De Santiago as the Key Man and Swinson is the Captain. Chaoconov + Maldinov are on the bench.

9 superkids start for Kyrgyzstan, with Alan as Captain and Davo as the Key Man. Freealdinho, Halali, Robson + Lui are on the bench. Taphouse did not recover from his injury in time.

My Opinion

Turkmenistan were unlucky in the 1st leg not to get anything out of it, being at home in this leg may make the difference – although an away goal for Kyrgyzstan will mean Turkmenistan will have to score three. I think Turkmenistan to win the game, but Kyrgyzstan to win the overall tie.

Gonzalez has a goal ruled out after just 4 minutes.

Birkinaldo picks up an early yellow card.

8 minutes gone and Dumats takes a throw in on around the halfway line and throws it in the direction of Hermandinho. He takes an horrendous first touch, Azeryk pounces on this, takes the ball off him and dribbles from about the halfway line to the edge of the area where he slots the ball passed the oncoming keeper. 0-1.

A long ball by the Kyrgyzstani keeper picks out Bill, who runs forward before hammering a shot just over the bar.

After 14 minutes Azeryk runs into the penalty area on the left hand side, cuts back but in doing so Dumats brings him down. Penalty to Kyrgyzstan. Ryan steps up and fires the ball into the bottom left hand corner. 0-2.

Ali Obeid almost gets a quick response, but the Kyrgyzstan keeper again pulls off a great save to his left.

Turkmenistan’s non superkid is sent off after 23 minutes for aiming a kick at Alan. Looks like an almost impossible situation for Turkmenistan to come back from now.

Alan makes space for himself before slotting through a ball for Benj, who fires over from 15 yards.

De Santiago pulls off a double save, once from Alan and then from a looping back header from Dumats.

Koppers picks up a yellow card after 40 minutes.

Alan is subbed off for Freealdinho after 41 minutes.

Dumats picks up a yellow card in injury time.

HT: Turkmenistan 0 v 2 Kyrgyzstan

Match Stats

Player Ratings

Well, that’s a bit of surprise, complete domination by Kyrgyzstan in the first half. Turkmenistan have to now score four in the 2nd half, otherwise Kyrgyzstan will retain the Stanlies Cup again.

At halftime Bill + Azeryk are replaced by Halali + Robson.

Also, Koppers + Rossini are subbed for Turkmenistan, with Chaoconov brought on.

Dumats + Ali Obeid are subbed after an hour.

After 71 minutes Gonzalez is subbed off, as is Bartinho.

Libertinho picks up a yellow card after 75 minutes.

Robson fires a freekick way over the bar in injury time (sums up the excitement of the 2nd half!).

Week ending Sunday 31st May 2009

There has been a sudden surge of interest in Humphrey Koppers, with Arsenal, Aston Villa, Everton, Liverpool, Man City, Newcastle and AC Milan all interested. Everton, Villa, Man City, AC Milan and Newcastle have all made bids, ranging from £4.5m to £5.75m.

Man City and AC Milan are interested in completing a double Chelsea Turkmen swoop, making a £4.7m / £5.75m bid for Hermandinho respectively. Arsenal, AC Milan, Porto and Leicester are all interested in him.

Libertinho has only 6 months left on his contract. Watford and Celta are the interested parties at the moment.

Rafa Benitez has left Liverpool to become the new manager of Barcelona.

All of the winter based leagues (along with majority of the playoffs) have now finished (I've also included La Liga + Premiership even though already published just for completeness):

Beligum - Premier Division

Anderlecht and Ulfinus Chaoconov have again won the Belgium league, the difference this year being that Chaoconov actually gets a winners medal this year!!

England - Premership

England - Championship

England - League One

Despite 6 teams in League One being separate by only 2 points with 8 games to go, Bristol City win the league by 6 points and finish 11 clear of 6th place. Chesterfield (Halali) just missed out on the playoffs.

Germany - First Division

Holland - Premier League

Italy - Serie A

Tomaldinho, Bill and Lazio just about survive in Serie A this season, finishing one place above the relegation spots.

Italy - Serie B

George Robson and Vicenza achieve another safe mid-table position, but with his co-ownership with Inter due to come to a head at the end of June, he may be moving on.

Scotland - Premier League

Prof Frink and Rangers comfortably won the Scottish Premier League.

Spain - La Liga

Turkey - Premier League

Manisaspor finish midtable in the topflight again.

After concentrating on the domestic leagues and European competitions so much, I lost touch with the superkid’s performances in domestic cup competitions:

Samaras Taraldo lost in the final of the Dutch Cup 2-1 to FC Twente.

Humphrey Koppers was the only superkid to play for Chelsea in the FA Cup Final, which they drew 1-1 with Newcastle before losing 4-2 on penalties.

Professor Frink lost the Scottish League Cup Final with Rangers 1-0 to Aberdeen.

However, we do have a winners medal...

Jacariah Birkinaldo won the League Cup with Liverpool, beating Watford 3-0 in the final.

The player profile screenshots, current ability / reputation stats and season review update will come after the following international matches for both sides:

Qatar v Turkmenistan

Fri 5th June: World Cup 2010 Asian Qualifying 3rd Round

Pre Match

11 superkids start for Turkmenistan, with Swinson as Captain and a recalled Selim Atas as the Key Man. On the bench is Maldinov + Chaoconov.

My Opinion

Qatar are bottom of the group without a point, so Turkmenistan should win this despite being away from home.

Turkmenistan kick off, with Gonzalez bringing the ball forward. He spreads the ball out to the right to Swinson, who takes the ball to the byline and crosses for Gonzalez to head in. Just 14 seconds in, its 0-1.

However, a reality check happens after 7 minutes as a cross from the left is turned into the net. 1-1.

Gonzalez hits the crossbar after 9 minutes.

A missed interception from a Qatar defender allows a ball from Tomaldinho to reach Gonzalez who slots home his second of the game. 1-2, 20 minutes gone.

Hermandinho picks up a yellow card for a foul on the edge of the area. This means he will be suspended from the next game. From the resultant freekick, the ball deflects off the wall and into the back of the net. 2-2.

Rossini picks up a knock, but carries on.

A bit of magic from Gonzalez. He picks the ball up just inside the Qatar half, dribbles in and out of 2 defenders before slotting past the keeper. Great goal to complete his first half hattrick, 2-3.

HT: Qatar 2 v 3 Turkmenistan

Half Time Stats

53 minutes gone and Tomaldinho again picks out Gonzalez, who again slots past the keeper. 2-4.

The game was put beyond Qatar after 58 minutes when Gonzalez flicked a long ball into the path of Atas who rounded the keeper before putting the ball in the net. 2-5.

After 69 minutes, Chaoconov replaces Rossini.

Dumats sends a freekick just wide of the left post.

Ali Obeid + Gonzalez are subbed.

FT: Qatar 2 v 5 Turkmenistan

Match Overview

Player Stats

Great win for Turkmenistan and another bagful for Gonzalez who gets the MOM award.

Kyrgyzstan v Bahrain

Fri 5th June: World Cup 2010 Asian Qualifying 3rd Round

Pre Match

10 superkids start for Kyrgyzstan, with Lui returning in goal. The captain is Alan and the key man is Davo. On the bench is Halali, Freealdinho + Bartinho.

My Opinion

At home to the team with no points in the group so far, should be a three point banker.

Bill has two efforts over the bar in the first ten minutes, the second being from only 10 yards out.

10 minutes gone and the ball is knocked into the area by the left corner flag. Azeryk picks it up and crosses to Alan who heads home from close range. 1-0.

Alan smacks the ball against the crossbar, but 30 seconds later Bill smacks the ball into the net from 15 yards after a pull back from Azeryk. 2-0, 16 minutes gone.

After setting up two goals, two minutes later and Azeryk gets on the scoresheet himself with a header from an Al-Dahash corner. 3-0.

Bill, Azeryk + Alan all fire shots just over the bar during the rest of the half.

Just as the game enters stoppage time Al-Dahash fires a 40 yard cross field ball to the back post where Alan is waiting to fire it home. 4-0.

HT: Kyrgyzstan 4 v 0 Bahrain

Half Time Stats

Halftime and shock horror, Alan is subbed off again. On comes Freealdinho.

A quiet start to the second half.

Freealdinho technically misses an open goal after 73 minutes with his looping header which fell just the wrong side of the post.

Bartinho + Halali come on after 81 minutes. Taphouse makes way.

FT: Kyrgyzstan 4 v 0 Bahrain

Match Overview

Player Stats

Alan gets the MOM award for his 2 goals, a consolation for only playing half a game.

Turkmenistan v Iran

Weds 10th June: World Cup 2010 Asian Qualifying 3rd Round

Pre Match

10 superkids start the game, with Swinson as captain and Selim Atas as the key man. On the bench is Maldinov + Libertinho.

My Opinion

Iran thrashed Japan in the last round of games, but I fancy Turkmenistan to get the point they need to guarantee qualification.

3 minutes in and the home crowd go wild. Ali Obeid powers home a Swinson corner. 1-0.

3 minutes later though and Iran are on level terms after a big error from De Santiago who led a long ball bounce over him, allowing the striker to run round and tap home. 1-1.

15 minutes gone and Iran concede a ridiculous own goal. Atas strikes a fearsome volley that is well saved by the Iranian keeper, with the ball rebounding back to a defender who instead of clearing knocks the ball into his own net!! 2-1.

29 minutes in and Ali Obeid crosses to the near post from the left where Atas is there to head home. 3-1.

HT: Turkmenistan 3 v 1 Iran

Half Time Stats

45 minutes away from the World Cup!!

Gonzalez pounces on a poor first touch by an Iranian defender, but after his run forward his shot goes just wide of the far post.

Tomaldinho hits the crossbar with a 25 yard freekick after 60 minutes.

Chaoconov feeds Atas down the left wing, who crosses it for Gonzalez to turn in. 4-1.

De Santiago saves a brilliantly a volley from close range.

After 72 minutes Ali Obeid is replaced by Libertinho.

Iran pull a goal back after 74 minutes after a strong header at the near post. 4-2.

A minute later and the Iranian keeper takes a shocking first touch, allowing Gonzalez to poach it from him and stroke the ball into the empty net. 5-2.

After 82 minutes Swinson is replaced.

FT: Turkmenistan 5 v 2 Iran

Match Overview

Player Stats

A huge win for Turkmenistan and Gonzalez gets another MOM award for his 2 goals.

Turkmenistan have qualified for the World Cup 2010.

South Korea v Kyrgyzstan

Weds 10th June: World Cup 2010 Asian Qualifying 3rd Round

Pre Match

10 superkids start the match against South Korea. Captain is Alan and the key man is Azeryk. On the bench is Freealdinho, Halali + Bartinho.

My Opinion

Only a point needed for Kyrgyzstan to qualify and I think they can get at least a point.

Ryan picks up a yellow card after just 4 minutes.

After a nice passing move down the middle of the pitch, S Korea strike with a curling shot. 1-0, 12 minutes gone and not ideal, but still early days.

South Korea almost double their advantage as their striker latches onto a ball over the top, but Lui saves well.

Alan forces the equaliser after a goalmouth scramble. 1-1, 27 minutes gone.

Bill hits a banana shot just over the bar.

Lui tips over a header from a South Korea corner.

After 40 minutes, Benj feeds Alan who with a sharp turn beats his man before firing past the S Korean keeper to score his 10th senior international goal. 1-2.

HT: South Korea 1 v 2 Kyrgyzstan

Half Time Stats

Bill + Alan (the danger man so far) are subbed off at half time. On comes Halali.

Azeryk almost scores an incredible 45 yard lob after a poor clearance by the S Korean keeper. The ball goes just over the bar.

After 88 minutes Taphouse has a freekick well saved.

S Korea press in the last few minutes, yet don’t trouble Lui at all.

FT: South Korea 1 v 2 Kyrgyzstan

Match Overview

Player Stats

Sam Taphouse is awarded the MOM for a fine all round performance.

Kyrgyzstan have qualified for the World Cup 2010.

Warning - List of Potential Evictees

I've had a bit of time free this afternoon so I decided to put the list up now to allow a bit more time for people to step forward and post. The following people have not posted in at least the last calendar month (ie: since June 18th):

Forum Name ¦ Player in sign up ¦ Position ¦ Nation

Tomaldinho ¦ Tomaldinho ¦ MC ¦ Turkmenistan

Robs Rams ¦ Roberto Rossini ¦ MR/L ¦ Turkmenistan

poyplemonkeys ¦ Abdullah Mohammed Ali Obeid ¦ AM/FC ¦ Turkmenistan

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Only 8 people have not posted in the last month, so thank you to everyone-else who has posted. icon_smile.gificon14.gif

Now the harsh bit:

If none of the eight people listed above have posted to say they are still following this by 9am this Friday, then their places will be put up for grabs.

(I know its only a short period of time for them to respond, but as they haven't posted in the last month, if I left it open for a week I doubt some of them would post. If anybodyelse knows why they may not be able to post please say, thanks).

Apologies for the little grumble, but with the World Cup coming next year I want to get as many active people as possible in the sign up and the current off-season seemed the most appropriate time to do so. icon_smile.gif

Well technically Golden Boy already has two players, so it would be a tad hypocritical of me to say no. icon_wink.gif

However, I think fair thing to do would be to open up the spaces to newbies for a set period of time and if not all the spots are filled by then I'll allow people to have a second player, if they really want another one. icon14.gif

Week ending Sunday 14th June 2009

Man Utd have stated that they are looking for Humphrey Koppers to replace Heinze as their left back. However, they are yet to make an offer for him.

Chelsea have publicly said they are willing to listen to offers for him and he is now ‘transfer listed’. Real Madrid and Aston Villa have both had offers accepted for him now. So far he has a choice of Real Madrid, Aston Villa, Everton, AC Milan and Newcastle.

Hermandinho has agreed terms with AC Milan and will join them on July 1st for £5.75m.

Both bids for Luke Swinson from Aston Villa and Man Utd have been rejected by Chelsea.

Gladbach are said to be stepping up the chase for Ryan. However, Livorno have ruled out the sale of him and Ryan has also entered the debate, saying he doesn’t want to move to Gladbach. Rennes are also interested in the lad, but no move has been made yet.

Cameroon are the first African team to have qualified for the World Cup.

I have spent the evening writing the Season Summary, all I need to do now is upload all your player's screenshots, which on dial up will be ages - so I'll probably won't get around to publishing the season review until tomorrow morning. icon14.gif
