World Cup training camp friendlies

So I'm Scotland and I've qualified for the WC, see it isn't that hard Levein.

I get to my friendlies pre-tournament and I fill them out, a few club games and a few games around the Americas to get my players used to the opposition and temperature etc. A few days later I get a mail item saying whilst in Brazil I'll be based at a Brazilain team's stadium (can't go back and find out which one exactly) and I think great this means less travelling. Yet my home friendlies against England and Japan pre tournament when my players would be in Brazil are being played at Hampden.

Why? Wouldn't it make sense as in real life pre-tournament friendlies being played in the country of the tournament.
