minisav Posted November 4, 2012 Share Posted November 4, 2012 The Uncapped Challenge Aim: To qualify for the World Cup, and then register a team for the finals with players that have never been capped. Any nation is viable but obviously places like Brazil* & Spain would be easiest. *This team were the original team used for this idea which I completed on another forum for FM 05 or 06 You must load only the leagues and all players of your chosen nation. And I think I'll allow you to use uncapped players before the actual finals to allow it to gel. Although I still need a SS of your whole team with no caps before the first qualifier you play and the whole squad must be uncapped also. However, points only count for tournament finals so you'd miss out on debut points etc. There is a multiplier but that will be explained in the Points section. A points system will be used. Points: Goal: GK - 10 Defender - 7 Midfielder - 5 Forward - 2 Hat-trick - Bonus 5 points Eg - Forward scores a hat-trick. 2*3 = 6. Then add bonus 5 to get 11. Assist: GK - 5 Defender - 5 Midfielder - 2 Forward - 2 Miscellaneous: 1st Cap - 5 1st Goal - 10 PotM - 5 Also first goal is added to goal to make 12 if it was for a forward. Game: Win - 3 Draw - 1 Loss - 0 A win on penalties still counts as a draw. Tournament Progress: Win the Tournament - 500 Finalist - 250 Semi Finalist - 175 Quarter Finalist - 100 2nd Round - 50 These do not total up. Awards: Top Scorer - 25 Best Player - 20 Goal of the Tournament - 20 for 1st, 10 for 2nd & 5 for 3rd Best Goalkeeper - 15 Dream Team (Per player) - 10 Dream Team (All of them) - 100 - this a bonus 100 on top of the 10 per player making it 210. Multiplier: Points x 1.(Team Ranking) i.e England - 1.07; meaning 100th placed team would receive a x2 multiplier Ranking taken from the start of a normal game with a June/July start date. Everything is taken from when I ran the FM10 version so it's been a gap and things may have changed. I've also made some tweaks so if you have suggestions give me a shout and I'll see if it's worth adding in. apchivers Posted November 5, 2012 Share Posted November 5, 2012 I gave this ago on FM10 if i remember correctly with France I think. Knocked out in the 2nd round or quarters. Will give this a go again as really enjoyed it a few years back, not sure who with yet, maybe France again or someone like Croatia. Probably won't use uncapped players in the qualifiers to try and gain extra points in the World Cup! Thanks for re-posting this challenge minisav! Struggled through my first round of World Cup Qualifiers in an easy group and also got knocked out of the quarters of the Gold Cup after sneaking through my group. If I'm doing this averagely with the 'first team' squad, what am I going to be like with uncapped players when (more like if) I get to the Brazil 2014!
