Honestly it's a bit ridiculous that they have given no one -10. Can't help but feel like instead of fixed PAs players such as Gotze/Hazard/Neymar would be better put in that category. We all know they're going to be superstars, and at least this way it would be slightly unpredictable as it is in real life.

A hell of a lot of bias here probably, but Paul Pogba deserves a -10...just saying.

If he was a -10 I'd probably say that Man Utd would've done a hell of a lot more to hold onto him, despite his attitude. And probably played him more.

...Yeah cause we've never seen wonderkids leave their club at a young age..

Man Utd quite clearly didn't want to lose him. It's just Fergie not holding onto the promise he gave Pogba at the start of the season that made him leave.

Honestly, we've never seen clubs not play kids that are -10 at a young age too. Especially when the manager 'promises' things.

I'd say that a -9 is pretty fair. -10 gives him the potential to reach the heights of Messi/Ronaldo currently which I'm pretty sure we both can agree will never happen. -9 means he can still be a world-class midfielder which he has the potential to be.

Can someone give me a quick explanation on how the ca/pa work. I've never really took much notice of it but what is the -8 -9 actually mean and if it's a fixed PA I take it they can't go any better than that but can they not reach the potential or is it a given?

Very interesting to see Dedryck Boyata is still a -9. I thought he'd have been given a fixed PA by now. Quite glad he hasn't been though, works better for me haha. Boyata and Nastasic both -9, very good.

Quite frustrating to see that Karim Rekik isn't a -9 though, especially since he's much more promising than Boyata I'd say. Regardless, I suppose he's -8.

good to see sean murray with some potential, lad looks superb irl..

would have liked to see mason bennett and will hughes with a bit more than the -8's they do have

happen to agree with the decision of no -10's ..

a -10 indicates a definite world beater, and frankly .. there aren't any showing that amount of promise right now... and it leaves it open to having one coming through in game

some stand out idiocy in the list includes:

marc ter stegen with 185(!) potential...

lamela with 175

phil jones iwth 174

Lamela has been superb this season, scoring 6 league goals already from a starting position of left wing, most of which has shown exceptional talent. He's desrving of at least 175, he's probably the biggest young talent in Italy. There's a reason why there was such a fuss made about him when he was 12; he's got alot of ability. 175 for Ramsey on the other hand...

Agree that 185 for ter Stegen seems generous, though - he's looks very good but not maintained last season's promise.

165 for Munaian seems low, suggesting that he's pretty much peaked as a teenager and i'd have thought James Rodriguez would've been set higher than 169.

could someone post the -8 players? :) many thanks in advance!

I would, but I haven't got the full copy of the game yet, so don't have the editor to check the database.

I always find the tendency of people to be preoccupied with -10 & -9 players quite amusing. There's actually a lot of players with -8, -7, or fixed PA's between 130 & 160, who are or will become much more rounded players, because the distribution of attributes is better.

lamela has always been a talent.. im not disputing it... im disputing putting his potential up as high as that.. if anything, by now it should be fixed.

bare in mind 160+ means a very very good top division player..

Ravel Morrison you have got to be joking.

Mr Arrogant Lunatic wont ever make it.

PA is about the talent. Have to have good personalities generally to achieve their full PA

Plays on the right actually does Lamela, and 175 is over the top. I watch him every week, guy has scored 6 goals, but boy he's average far too often. If he's 175 Munaian should be 185.

Could be very wrong Jambo but I think it goes something like this

-10 = Random PA between 180-200

-9 = Random PA between 160-180

-8 = Random PA between 140-160

-7 = Random PA between 120-140

-6 = Random PA between 100-120

-5 = Random PA between 80-100

-4 = Random PA between 60-80

-3 = Random PA between 40-60

-2 = Random PA between 20-40

-1 = Random PA between 0-20

Would love to know if that's right

I wish they wouldn't have fixed attributes for potential in the game or a way of randomising potential ability within a range. In reality your actual ability will be a reflection of how much you've practised each particular skill.

A player can choose the amount of time, concentration and effort they put into practising something so it shouldn't be a fixed attribute. If your practising your skills with or against a higher standard of opposition or with good direction from a coach you'll improve at a quicker rate as you can learn more in a shorter space of time in those cases but essentially your potential is only limited by how much you learn. Nobody is born with World class skills it's all learnt through practise.

Not really, no :D

Title is very self explanatory, and if they don't know what the title means and come in and see the list, they still wont know what that means. So no harm done.

Not really, if the Researchers think one of their players deserves a -10 and the Head Researchers agree, then so be it. There's very little outside influence on the process but naturally everyone exerts caution rather than dishing out amazing PAs.

Researchers have guidelines to adhere to regarding changes though no?
