stunimmo1
Halleson Thiago Borbosa Honorato - Philco might be out of the range of most Blue Square Teams... last time i looked my transfer budget was 500 pounds (not five hundred thousand - just five hundred) so 10m might be pushing my luck with the board =]
CityAndColour
Just a quick question. Why are places like Curaçao and Reunion recommended nations to load for players? They're very random. Does someone have inside information into the best countries for regens? Always wondered this. On previous versions you could find a lot of free players from these nations who were far too good for non-league. Seems to have been toned down for FM13 though as it's much harder to get them to come to England for part-time or non-contract terms, as it should be. Also possesses fantastic versatility being able to play anywhere in midfield while also have unconvincing- competent for all defensive positions. I have adopted a deep playing play-maker role for him in recent games and he has excelled. Has also scored some cracking goals from long range and is my current top scorer. Faramir
The top players on my Harrow Hill side (all signed on free transfer since I edited the club into BSN and started from scratch for players and staff): Mirko Ranieri (Italian GK- mentioned previously, remains the best keeper I have had on lower sides) Steffan Jones (Welsh DRC- a rock in the center of my defense) Takura Mtandari (Canadian DRC, already mentioned in thread- team captain) Solomon Shields (MC- my undesignated playmaker in the middle of a 451) Dali Gonzalez, Jack Lyons (SC- forward tandem for the club) Leigh Smith (AML- right footer who has scored plenty) Matt Harris (AMR- bookend who usually sets up Smith, but has scored several nice goals) Erik Hummel (DMC- works well in front of Jones, steady)
GylfiAsCharged
There are some very capable players in the trial day squads. When I start a lower league game, I tend to shortlist a number of them who look impressive in terms of stats, and try to sign them after watching them. gerardpique
don't know much about him, only he can play anywhere I'm managing Havant & Waterlooville and up to 2015/16, got him at the start of the game in the BSS and up in the BSP now. Decent stats and as you said can play pretty much anywhere. For me he's mostly played cm, cb and lb. Not going to get you many goals or assists or grab the headlines but his versatility is reason alone to sign him, he's a steady hand who can fill in anywhere, lowest seasonal average for me in the three years I have him is 6.98. The Denis Irwin of LLM is probably the best description! A few that I've managed to get that aren't mentioned (I think!) yet: Name: Jeremy Helan Age: 21 at start of game Position(s): DL natural/ WB/ M L accomplished Ideal Role/Duty: Full Back/ Wing Back support Current Club: Man City Country: England Work Permit: N/A Transfer Fee: Free Transfer Club & League Signed For: Havant & Waterlooville, BSS, end of first season An FM reliable for LLM, toned down a bit but still has the potential to do the job up to the Championship. Name: Jack Byrne Age: 17 at start of game Position(s): MC Ideal Role/Duty: DLP support Current Club: Man City Country: England Work Permit: N/A Transfer Fee: Free Transfer Club & League Signed For: Havant & Waterlooville, BSS, end of first season Good eye for a pass and keeps things ticking over in the engine room, also pops up with a few goals. Good potential and once he gets games goes from strength to strength. Name: Johnny Goddard Age: 19 at start of game Position(s): DMC/ MC Ideal Role/Duty: Defensive Mid Support/ Ball Winning Mid Defend Current Club: Reading Country: England Work Permit: N/A Transfer Fee: Free Transfer Club & League Signed For: Havant & Waterlooville, BSS, end of first season 14 tackling, determination, influence and natural fitness. Name: Jacob Walcott Age: 20 at start of game Position(s): AMC Ideal Role/Duty: Advanced Playmaker/ Attacking Mid Support Current Club: Oxford? I got him free from them end of first season, could be free at the start of the game Country: England Work Permit: N/A Transfer Fee: Free Transfer Club & League Signed For: Havant & Waterlooville, BSS, end of first season. The non league Zidane for me. 40 goals & 18 assists for me playing in the hole in 2 1/2 seasons since I got him. I haven't felt this way about a player since Kim Kallstrom in CM 01/02. Name: Daniel Gudmundsson Age: 21 at start of game Position(s): DRC Ideal Role/Duty: CD defend/ stopper Current Club: Fylkir Country: England Work Permit: N/A Transfer Fee: Loan at start of game for 3 months and then his contract is up end of October first season Club & League Signed For: Havant & Waterlooville, BSS Great for LLM stopper stats, 15 influence and my club captain. Name: Caolan Lavery Age: 19 at start of game Position(s): ST/ AMC Ideal Role/Duty: still trying to figure that out. Cracking stats for BSN/BSS/ League 2. Coaches say Trequartista but equally good as Complete Forward/ DLF Current Club: Sheff Weds Country: England Work Permit: N/A Transfer Fee: Free Transfer Club & League Signed For: Havant & Waterlooville, BSS, end of second season

Has been inconsistent, which is expected at his age but his attributes climb quickly. Jogo Bonito
Can you get Jamie Longworth from Queens Park as striker? He should be available for free as on an amateur contract. Mayzie
Name:Mirko Ranieri Age:20 Position(s):GK Ideal Role/Duty: Current Club:None Country:Italy Work Permit:No Transfer Fee:Free Club & League Signed For:Signed for both my Tonbridge and Dover saves. This guy will be a top keeper for any BSS/BSN/BSP side. My scouts tell me he will be a leading 2nd Division keeper in the future. I think my scouts were saying leading League One keeper. I signed him for free first season with Mansfield & had him as my first choice keeper for two seasons now. Not sure how well he'll get on in League One though, I don't think he's developed enough. I actually signed a new keeper for League Two but that what jamesh2k is talking about happened & they were both ended up rated 2 stars so I went with Ranieri because he had a higher potential. anyone notice scout is saying 3/4 stars for current ability, then they join and they drop 1/2 stars?im guessing its to do with the coach/scouts It will depend on your Assistant Manager or whoever you choose to do the team report's JPA attribute. I think it also has to do with the quality of player at your club. For example, your best player may well be 4.5 stars but then you sign someone who is far better than him, causing him to drop to 4 stars. It only seems to happen as I'm signing players. -------- I can't remember most of my signings for first season as Mansfield. I know I signed Nathan Ellington on a free, he did a job up front and Erik Tonne on loan, he did so well on LW that I loaned him again in second season in League Two. Season two, my memorable signings were Richard Ofere(ST), John Pantsil(RB), Ibrahim Kargbo(CB/DM), Andrew Tuttle(CM) & Michael Hector(DC). All freebies. Non-contract at £150 appearance and £150 per goal plus the obligatory bonuses. And if he'll sign for Histon, he'll sign for anybody! There's many a good tune played on an old fiddle..... Some stats: Str 13, Stam 12, Nat Fit 16, Jump 15, Work rate 13, Teamwork 15, Positioning 11, Determ 19, Bravery 15, Aggression 14, Heading 12. Not bad at all for BSN! *Edit: Been playing him for quite a few matches now - the man is a goal scoring machine as well as a target man!
