Levau
Second season over and what a season! We won all competitions and in style I might add. Towards the end of the season I started to experiment a little with a different formation and ended up playing that for the most games. The best game of the year was the 5-1 smashing of Barcelona at old trafford. Suffered from a minor injury crisis towards the end but a couple of my youngsters stepped up quite nicely so it was never a real problem. In january I brought in Neymar as he is my prefered replacement for RVP. Took a while for him to settle but in the end he showed off some real magic. Pretty confident of his ability I sold RVP in the summer. Signed Falcao and Ter Stegen along with a spanish regen. Just when I was about to sell Nani as he wanted to leave when he had a change of heart and wanted to stay. Strange boy that Nani. I did'nt sell anoyone notably apart from RVP but Bayern and Real are battling out for Hernandéz but since they don't want to pay my kind of money I expect him to remain at the club. I must say that Wellbeck never stops to amaze me. Top-notch poacher but also pretty useful as a deep-forward. Useful squad-player. Line-up in the coming season will be a 4-4-2 GK: Ter Stegen/De Gea DR: Rafael DL: Fabio DC: Jones DC: Vidic RM: Valencia LM: Bale CM: Fellaini CM: Rooney ST: Neymar ST: Falcao Among the youngsters am I looking for a loan spell for Powell since my options in central midfield is pretty numerous. Perreira and Daeli will also be loaned out. I had high hopes for them all but to be honest, only Powell looks like a potential PL-player at the moment. scott MUFC
noticed my left backs are getting kind of old, distinctly lacking players who can play at left and right back. have Jones and Rafael, for RB, putting Jones there isn't ideal. but Evra and Ashley Cole are getting on a bit now. so found a cheap alternative that can cover all bases, and it also frees up Alaba as he plays a more Valencia like role on the left of midfield when a bit more creativty is needed over dribbling, and I need a couple of seasons for my newgens to develop. had a try at him at the start of the game, but City wouldn't sell to me obviously, found him for a couple of million at Munich, beat Chelsea to his signiture. and i love my tactic so much right now. it seems going down to 10 men makes it even better, must be the extra space it creates

wanderer89
Hey guys, Started myself a Man Utd save as I'm getting a bit bored of my Wolves save! I chose to go for Title Challenge, which gave me £38m to spend! Transfers In! I know I spent £68m, but I feel that it was worth it for those players, especially Bale and Strootman, considering that Scholes and Giggs are getting on, needed someone with quality in the centre of the park with Carrick, he was definitely needed. Transfers Out! As you can see, I did recoup nearly everything I paid out, I don't rate Nani/Young/Anderson so I sold them, got decent enough fees for them, offered them out, didn't expect to get that much! As for Evra, he's getting on, so just offered him out to get his wages off the bill, planned on bringing in Alaba, but I forgot about his injury, and I forgot to go back in for him before the window shut so I'm stuck with Buttner, but he's done really well so can't complain so far! Tactic This is the one I decided on, I found it over on FM Base, and it's done wonders for me so far, granted I've only played 4 games, but considering I only plugged it in with 2 friendlies left, you'll see it's done well! Fixtures These have been my fixtures so far, but impressive I'd say, not ground breaking, but keeps me near the top and that first game of the season was special, completely took Arsenal apart. wanderer89
End of January Update! Bit of a big update from the middle of September to the end of January! Here are how the fixtures have gone! I did falter in Europe slightly, it got to the last game and I was 2 points behind second placed Feyenoord, I had to beat them, which I did, comfortably, and top of the league drew so I ended up finishing top of the group! League Table As you can see, I'm currently unbeaten in the league! Really proud of that, and the fact that I've only conceded 8 in 24 games is outstanding! Really didn't expect that at all, especially with my young defence, I do get the occasional mistake, but those are usually down to Vidic and De Gea that make them! De Gea's kicking at times is incredibly poor. My standout performer has to have been Wayne Rooney, with 29 goals in 32 apps, he's been superb form this season so far, just gotta hope he continues and helps fire us to the league title! January Transfers! Ins! Wilfried Bony - £8.75m - Rooney was the only one scoring, RVP/Hernandez and Welbeck weren't performing so I saw him on the transfer list and decided to sign him. Albin Ekdal - £11.5m - I realised I was short in the middle, lack of back up for Carrick and Strootman, so I put my DLP filter on, and got as high as I could and he was one of 3 players, the others I wasn't able to get in my budget, so I signed him. I also have Emiliano Viviano coming in on a free as backup to Dea Gea, he'll be on less wages than Lindegaard and he's better, so I thought it was a win win situation, just have to get rid of Lindegaard now. Joining him in July will be.. Fernando Llorente, I needed backup for Rooney as he does pick up a few bookings, so he'll come in handy as backup, wages are still less than what RVP was on, and he should do a job, especially as a lot of crosses go in to the box, he should be able to get on the end of a fair few. Outs! Robin Van Persie - £15m to FC Bayern - He just wasn't performing, and I decided his wages could be spent better elsewhere, so I left it up to my DoF and he got £15m for him, which was the best fee I could have probably asked for considering his age and his wages, and off he went! So that's it for the January update, I'll be back again at the end of the season! If there's anything anyone wants to know or ask, feel free! I'll reply as soon as I can. EDIT: I think I'm in trouble. My finances are an absolute mess, they just keep deteriorating, I was once £32m in the black, I'm currently £55m in the red! When I go on to my finances, for this season, I'm £32m in the black, but the current month I'm £32m in the red. I'm not over on wages, I spent £68m at the beginning of the season, but I recouped £60m of that back! I spent another £20m in the summer, but I sold Van Persie for £15m so I don't know what's going wrong! Any idea what I can do?

mojojojo101
Just started a new save with an eye to preparing a tactic for the new patch, decided on 3-4-3 shape, pre-season went well and my first league game was brilliant; a 7-0 win against West Ham. thekulprit
I was thinking youngsters, maybe Zouma, Shaw, something like that?Or go proven, Bale, Felliani etc... Definitely get Luke Shaw, going into my fourteenth season with him, still top quality. Haven't once had issues with him about achieving everything, wanting a new challenge etc. His been a first teamer since season 4 could have used earlier but i had Baines and he was still in form. I recommend teaching him run with ball down left and hug line, i also have mark opp tightly and get forward whenever possible (< depends on your tactic style). Chris21
I've tried to get Shaw in the January transfer window first season but Southampton wanted £13m. Wasn't prepared to pay that given his worth is £300k. May try again the summer but I'll have Fabio back by then.
scott MUFC
i would like to raise... or lower.. the goals conceded record from my wonder season http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/558713312236959911/F1628767E3A73F12339D59C69F9E6511211936BF/ shame this season i'm doing isn't going as well. and shaw O.O how... IS he worth buying at 2 stars and age 20? my current season is picking up again, annoying injuries to newgens not helping but development is still going strong, a nice run of away games...... played reserves to rest key players in this match, pleased by scoreline brought on Boadas for RVP after the sending off, took off Rooney for Hernandez after 80... and got my goal even more funny was my suggested team, which i normaly use, was the first one with Zabaleta
stevemc
Took the plunge on Felliani straight off for £23m (with Man United). He wanted £130,000 per week, and mental signing on fee's for him and his greedy agent, so I pulledout of the deal. The next day, Felliani sacked his agent and I re-negotiated him with no agent fee and £95,000 per week wages He's going to be a beast from set pieces :ha:
scott MUFC
He doesnt score from many of those. greedy defenders score from them instead

I sold Evra and played Buttner, he's been a revelation at LB/LWB for me.
Chris21
I'm in a dilemma at left back at the moment too. Just into my 2nd season now and in pre-season I've sold Evra and Buttner so I'm left with Fabio who's just come back from his loan. I don't know whether to buy Baines or gamble and buy Shaw and just have Fabio and Shaw as my left backs? I'm thinking that may be a bit dodgy as neither are really ready yet. Could be a different option to Baines? When I managed Bayern, he was exceptional at LB.

Arsenal bought him for £27m in January unfortunately. Definitely would have been an option too.

Ahh, that's a bummer, I'd probably say Baines then, or Neil Taylor, could do a job and probably won't cost as much as Baines so you could Shaw too, rotate between Fabio/Shaw/Taylor? scott MUFC
yea Alaba is superb for me... except he spends more time playing Left Midfield because he is good there too
