Buying/Selling: Selling

Player Name: Reina

Your Team: Liverpool

Buyer/Seller: Arsenal/Tottenham/others

Player's Value: Can't remember

Offer: £19m

Transfer/Wage Budget: £4m

Patch: Latest update

Season: 1 (January)

I wanna get rid of Reina who is letting in cheap goals and doesnt seem to be a rock anymore. I have bought in Craig Gordon (free) in the summer and he has actually played better in the games in cups and leagues. Reina has had a few decent performances but had plenty of howlers. Going to bring in Ter Stegen for around £23m who should be my #1 for years. Thought about Butland but probably not ready for first team once i sell Reina.

Yes definately! It's a shame Ter Stegen is costing you so much. I did a similar thing except sold Reina for 15, bought Adler for 8mil. Year later sold Adler for 19, bough Ter Stegen for 16. Ter Stegen definately worth it. So no doubt sell Reina and bring him in

I did have Alder on my FM12 save but i fear if i leave Ter Stegen for too long it will be impossible to sign him much later. How did you get him for so cheap btw? I was quoted £32million and only managed to get them down to for £23m after 3months of "tapping up" ;)

SO im about to start an online game with some friends.

Thing is one of my friends wanna do a deal.

Its a deal between Man City and Real Madrid. Not gonna say which team i will manage to keep it objective.

Deal is: Cristiano Ronaldo for Silva & Aguero

Who will benefit the most from that deal?

At the end of my 3rd season he was transfer listed by request and had been for about a year and a half I think. Most of that time it was around 20-30 mil I think but I guess maybe his contract was coming up menaing they reduced their demands?

Probably Real, but Man City are still gone have the funds to go out and sign an equally world class player so it's not like they will be crippled from it

- The deal I managed to get him to agree to is £195k a week  plus a lot of add ons. (he wanted £220k a week, which is what he is on at Barca). My highest earner is on £130k, next one down after that is £94k a week. Plus he wants a 3 year contract.

Was hoping you'd sign him and have 5/6 players with "Match highest earner" clause :D

If Ronaldo comes with a little bit of cash then it'd be even. But two world-class players for one, Real Madrid wins that all day.

What does your gut say?

I don't have a gut feeling. Normally when I post in here and when someone says something I know exactly what I want to do even if it isn't what they say. This time I have no idea. Whilst Alaba is more versatile and has the potential to be brilliant Santon is cheaper and more rounded

How did everyone get Ter Stegen so cheap. Cost me £26mil. Not complaining though, he's more than made up for it, and money is no object for us at the moment.

go for Alaba if you plan to use him as left back, I would instantly rule out Santon as a possibility since his strong foot dont match the role he is supposed to carry out

Alaba probably edges it but in my Newcastle game Santon was brilliant one of my top performers. Not one winger really caused him problems. He also cut inside and got a couple of goals.

Player Name: Gotze/Neymar

Your Team: Chelsea

Offer: Prob £25mill for Gotze but £40mill for Neymar

Season: 2nd

Basically Neymar is out of contract next year so I was going to go for him but Barca have just bid for him and it will be accepted. I wanted another AM as I plan to move Oscar a bit further back into a CM position and I want more competition. Who would be the better deal?

Need a right wing back to replace Emmerson Boyce, tried for Gino Peruzzi but he keeps failing a work permit so Clyne seems like a good alternative. Quite expensive though, is he worth it?

Player Name: Tom Cleverly

Your Team: Newcastle

Buyer/Seller: Man Utd

Player's Value: £11.75 million

Offer: £14.5 million

Transfer/Wage Budget: £21 million

Patch: Current

Season: Start of 3rd season, Sept 2014

I added a few English players as transfer targets just to add some extra cover on the home-grown front for Europe and my DoF has set up this deal with Man Utd. Anyone had any experience with young Tom on this years FM13 and is that a decent enough deal for him?

I do have a fairly strong midfield already with Cabaye and Tiote still at the club and they've been joined by Albin Ekdal amd Jordy Clasie with Keisuke Honda as my main AMC, so it's a very hard working midfield with plenty stamina/fitness.

Cheers for the replies lads.

I was leaning that way anyway but I've now decided to cancel the deal. Might go back in for him in January if he's not a regular starter and his price drops.

EDIT: Used some of the cash that deal would have used to finalise a deal for young English right back Kieran Trippier who has developed very nicely at Burnley on my save

Patch: No idea how to check this

He's been a great first team player for me. If I sold him, I'd have to replace him in the near future. The club really does need the finances though...

Player Name: Javier Pastore

Your Team: Chelsea

Buyer/Seller: PSG

Player's Value: £14m

Offer: £0 + John Obi Mikel

Transfer/Wage Budget: £50m

Patch: Latest update

Season: 2 (June)

Just starting second season and Javier Pastore is on the transfer list. PSG want £25m for him but are interested in John Obi Mikel, and have accepted a straight swap deal. Mikel only has a year left on his contract, and I have just signed Romulo for £27m.

Not sure how good Pastore is on this game. He will accept a rotation role and wage drop to £60k pw.

I play a 4-2-3-1 deep with defensive midfielders being Mikel, Lampard, Ramires, Romulo and Romeu. I am also planning to develop De Bruyne as a deep lying playmaker.

My attacking midfielders include Hazard, Mata, Oscar, Moses, Wellington Nem and Dzagoev.

Player Name: David Villa

Your Team: Aston Villa

Buyer/Seller: Free

Player's Value: Free

Offer:

Transfer/Wage Budget: $119k free of $900k

Patch:

Season: 2014/2015

Well guys I've got a bit of quandry, just about to start my 3rd Season at Villa Park, had a poor showing in the cups last year but a strong end with 11 wins from 13 games in the premier league pushed me up to a 6th place finish, I've pretty much strengthened the team across the board and was pretty settled with what I've got to work with until..................David Villa has come available on a free.

Transfer funds - non issue, (still have 15m+).

Wage Budget - plenty of room $115k under, he is wanting 80k

Bank account - healthy

I've been playing 442 so I've settled for 4 strikers, at the moment I have Bent (a goal machine for me), Jelle Vossen who I purchased mid last season and have been getting better and better, Benteke who can be a bit hot and cold and I've loaned Carlos Vela as a bit of cover who has just come off of a major injury.

I'm worried if I bring in Villa I'm going to upset my strikers and not play Benteke or Vela enough, but obviously with more games outside of the Premier League this year he can certainly be more than handy.

Should I just shut my yap and just click accept?

Yeah still should be quality for a year or two and not playing Vela enough shouldn't be an issue if you only have him on loan for cover anyway.
